Episode 18-Not Present

The night was getting late, the road which since morning was filled with vehicles now looked lonely, the atmosphere was quiet.

Eliana walked alone after arriving in front of her housing complex. He waved his hand at Lucas who had just escorted him to a residential alley.

It felt like screaming to say thank you, but because it was a late night, of course many of the people who live in the housing complex were already sound asleep.

After cleaning herself, Eliana lay her body on a mattress that looks worn floor. He grabbed his phone and looked at Riu's face in a photo stored on his phone.

"Lately I've seen Riu care more about me, have Clau and Yun gone through with their plans?" eliana thought as she stared at the empty ceiling of the room.

His eyes slowly closed, he did not realize that he had fallen asleep in sleep.

The sun shines down on various places. A light entered through the curtain to highlight Eliana's eyes. The sound of frequent alarm woke him, slowly he opened both his eyes which felt heavy to start the activity.

After some time, he who had finished getting ready also came out of his house to go to school. Well, because that's his daily life. This morning is not as usual, Lucas who usually has been standing in front of Eliana's house to leave together now does not see his figure.

He looked around the place to make sure that Lucas was among the buildings. But his friend did not find it. Realizing that soon the school bell will be rung, Eliana decides to leave first.

Ground after ground on his stampede, he walked to the rhythm of the accelerated footsteps. Until finally it looks like a building that is nothing but a school building.

"Tumben Lucas hasn't arrived yet" Eliana thought to herself as soon as she reached her class, but she didn't see Lucas.

"Hey! Who are you looking for?" clau asked suddenly, making Eliana surprised.

"Ah, ti--none. I was just looking at a class that was already clean," the answer reasoned.

"I beg you, believe me ... "

"Hmm, of course!! Today, I was the one in charge of cleaning the class!!" clau said in an excited voice.

"Huh, thank God he believed,"

The first lesson was quick, but it felt like a whole day at school because Eliana was bored. He looked towards Lucas' empty bench.

A hand landed on her shoulder that suddenly made Eliana look at the person next to her.

"What's wrong?" eliana whispered.

"You're looking for Lucas, huh?" Yun asked in a voice that was also shrill.

"He'em .." he replied with a nod.

The first break bell rang so loud in every class. Eliana who felt tense chatting in the middle of the lesson also felt calmer after the break bell was rung.

"Well kids, today it's enough to get here. Next week we continue the unresolved material" he said, closing the meeting today.

"Good, sir!!" answer the students in unison.

"What if we go to the cafeteria now?" eliana's proposal was directly approved by Clau and Yun.

They walked to the school cafeteria at the same time. Bomi is having a conversation with Riu in the Corridor. Eliana glanced at those who were chatting in a sitting position that was too close.

He took a long breath. Once they realize that their friend found something unsightly, making them try to comfort him.

"Eh? What event is there to buy me? It's not usually like that .. "Eliana's timpal spontaneously.

"Well .. nothing, anyway. I just want to treat you,"

"I ... no?" lontar Yun with a disappointed look.

"For you next time, yes,"

That was how this day went on, Eliana walked alone to get to her house. Several times his eyes stared at every vehicle that passed him.

"Heuh, weird. Why is it that late Lucas doesn't go to school often, huh?" eliana thought as she kicked a small rock into the trash can.

He felt a hand landing on his shoulder. Eliana's heart skipped a beat as she turned about twenty degrees, and she had indeed found a hand.

"Hey, why are you walking?" The familiar sound in her ears certainly made her turn around.

The figure behind him revealed a wide smile that expanded on his face. Eliana snorted in annoyance and looked at him with an unusual aura.

"Where are you today?!!" eliana asked in a high tone.

"Eh? Why why anyway? You miss me, don't you? Though there have not been twenty-four hours we did not meet," he threw out while raising his shoulders.

"That's it, don't piss me off!! Besides, why do you rarely go to school? You can be suspended if you don't enter without explanation for one week" Eliana said.

Lucas smiled broadly, then clasped Eliana's palm tightly. His steps suddenly stopped as soon as he felt a warm hand grasping him.

"To-why?" eliana asked with a reddened face.

"No, really, yeah? If I take you like this?"

"It's up to you, I don't care!!"

"Not only beautiful, she turned out to have a cute side as well, yes .." Lucas murmured in his heart to make an unusual mouth showing a smile now often smile.

It certainly makes the atmosphere feel awkward, until the two are long enough to shut each other's mouth.

"What if we go to the festival? You know, there's a festival that's being held not far from here?" lucas said he opened the conversation after the two kept quiet.

"Eh? I don't know if there's a festival ... "

"Yes it's okay, let's go there .. "give Lucas who immediately speed up the path.

"Oh yeah, by the way are you afraid of black cats?" ask Lucas to make sure.

The two then continued on a slightly stalled path due to the conversation. Although Lucas said the place where the festival is being held is not far from here, but for Eliana it feels doubled walking from home to school.

It did not feel like they were finally there. There are various good food vendors on display on the side of the road. This kind of festival is only held once every two years. So no wonder if the streets are crowded by visitors. So also with good food that is rarely sold in ordinary days.
