Episode 10 - Filling the Emptiness
The noise was again heard from inside the laboratory. Likewise with the air that feels increasingly crowded to inhale.
Eliana gathers with some of her classmates, although not all but enough to be a group. He later wrote the names of members of his group consisting of himself, Lucas, Clau, Amber and Yun.
A teacher walked over to him, he watched very closely the name of the group member Eliana had just written.
"Hmm, who wrote this?" ask the teacher while paying attention one by one among the five of them.
"Sa-I," replied Eliana, raising her hand.
"The group consists of only 3 people. Please one by one of you take the folded paper in front. Then look for people with the same number as you," the teacher ordered.
The five of them stared at each other, laughing. But not with Lucas who was just speechless to see the behavior of his friends including Eliana.
"Number thirteen! I have to find two people with the number thirteen" Eliana thought in her heart. He then walked to and fro looking for people whose numbers were the same as the numbers he got.
"Sorry," said someone making Eliana look.
"I just wanted to ask you, do you know who the thirteen is?" ask that person who is none other than Riu.
"A-- what?!! Thirteen said!! Nah! This is impossible, how can we be one group?!!" Eliana muttered, she then scratched her head that did not itch.
"A-I, I'm the one," answered Eliana turning her gaze elsewhere.
"Oh, good," said Riu who suddenly made Eliana look back at his face. Riu did not give any expression.
"What's good?!!"
"Don't get me wrong, which I mean is good because I'm in a group with people I know" he said.
Eliana took a deep breath, she stared at every corner of the room that had not changed at all.
"Alright, one more person left" he said.
"Eliana, did Clau say you got thirteen?" asked Lucas who was suddenly behind him.
"You ... got that number too?"
"He'em,"

The day passed, before the task was carried out, their school held a 6-day holiday for class 12. Of course it is used by Eliana to take part-time work in minimarket which is located not far from the housing complex.
"Hey, I hope I'm accepted to work there for the next 6 days" Eliana said, wearing her knit blouse.
"What time is it, now?" He thought, his eyes were staring at a clock on the wall of the house.
Time showed at 08:15, Eliana immediately rushed to the destination to apply for a job.
Although actually feel hesitant to try, but with the circumstances of his brother who just drunk every day certainly can not be relied upon.
He walked in the rhythm of his footsteps. Slowly inhaling and exhaling. He opened a door handle located on the door minimarket.
His eyes looked at every corner of the room to see if anyone was there.
"Excuse me .. " Eliana said to a man at the cashier's desk.
"Can I help you?" he asked with a big smile on Eliana.
"Sa-I want to meet with the owner of the minimarket, is there?"
"Oh, I am the owner," the man replied with a radiant look on his face.
"Do you have a minute? I'd like to talk to you something" Eliana said hesitantly.
"All right, let's sit there,"
"Actually I came here to apply for a job, but I can only work for the next 6 days" Eliana said without making small talk.
"Oh, part-time job, yeah .. hm, how, huh? Could it be, could you take part in the morning, noon, or night?" ask him to make sure.
"I'll take it in the morning, sir,"
"So, when do you start working? Today?"
"No, I'll work from tomorrow. But can I ask for a salary every day?" ask Eliana.
"Hmm, okay. Your one-day salary is 50,000, how?"
"Huh, I guess I'll make a lot of money. But it turns out that my salary for one day is only 50,000, how can I support myself?" Eliana muttered with an unpleasant look on her face.
"Hi? How's it?"
"Ah, ba-alright, then excuse me," Eliana said as she rose from her seat.
He then left the minimarket. A man seemed to be waving his hand at her. He looked at the man from a distance, but he did not know who he was.
Eliana then crossed a crowded street filled with motor vehicles and cars.
"You're going to the cafe?" ask someone to whisper something to his ear. Eliana was surprised.
He turned his back and found Lucas playing on his phone and wearing a headset.
"So you, huh?" ask Eliana to make sure.
"Hmm, right .." Lucas replied without looking at Eliana in the face.
"He's so weird. Sometimes it's sweet, but sometimes it's cold like ice!" Eliana muttered with an annoyed look on her face.
He walked ahead of Lucas, who eventually made their distance further away.
"No need to rush his way," said Lucas who was suddenly behind him.
"Aish! Never mind, don't bother me!! If you have anything to say, tell me now. I don't have much time" Eliana said as she turned to look at Lucas.
"I took you to the cafe, but you didn't answer. So it's your fault, right?"
"Eh? Also true. Looks like he told me,"
"I-yeah, all right. But you're the one who's buying, yeah,"
"Of course,"
They walk around the building that looks beautiful to find a cafe whose atmosphere matches the weather this morning.
They found the cafe quickly.
"Welcome, what do you want to order?" ask the employee there while giving the menu book to Eliana and Lucas.
"I'm just a cappuccino" Eliana said, handing Lucas her menu book.
"Me too,"
"All right, please wait a minute. The order will arrive in 5 minutes" the employee said, smiling broadly at the two.
After some time, the drinks they ordered came. Eliana, who was thirsty because her sun was so hot, immediately sipped a drink in front of her without stopping.
Lucas looked at her with a strange look. But he did not understand it, he again listened to music from his cellphone calmly.
