Aalis received the letter she had just received from the affairs of her teacher. Aalis was able to breathe a sigh of relief as her teacher and her older brother Drake arrived at the Kingdom where they were now living safely.
Line by line the letter had Aalis read. There was a problem in the middle of the road, when his group of teachers had passed through Groft's territory. His teacher's entourage was attacked by a group of rebels.
When an arrow flew towards Drake's horse, a man came to repel the attack. The man says that he is someone sent by Crown Prince Jackson to keep Drake and his father in secret.
Aalis stunned. Why would Jackson bother sending guards to look after his teacher? Could it be that Jackson was worried about the safety of his Master, or that Jackson just wanted to make sure his teacher was safe.
Whatever the reason for this time Aalis will thank Jackson. If the man had not sent the secret guard over to eat his teacher and his brother would have had a hard time.
"Sadie." Aalis called out to Sadie who was outside her room. "Prepare the ingredients to make a snack, I'll be in the kitchen soon."
"Okay, Empress."
As a thank you, Aalis will make a cake for Jackson. He knew the cake was nothing compared to what Jackson did. The man had already saved the lives of two important people in his life.
After a while, Aalis stepped into the kitchen. He began making cakes with ingredients that had been provided before him.
Although Aalis was a deputy general who continued to fight in his life, he was not too foreign to the kitchen. Because while on the battlefield he really had to be careful with the food he ate.
And when he was in the palace he would practice the recipe books that his mother had left behind.
Sweat appeared on Aalis' forehead, her hands quickly wiping the sweat away so as not to fall onto the food she made.
A few moments later Aalis was satisfied to see the results of the cuisine that suits what he wanted. Aalis served the cake on a plate, then she also made green tea given by Drake.
Everything was ready, Aalis brought her homemade cakes and tea to Jackson's study.
"Is His Majesty inside?" aalis asked the guard at the door.
"Some, Your Majesty the Empress."
"I'm going in."
"Well, Empress." The guard opened the door for Aalis.
This was the first time Aalis had come to Jackson's workplace. He stepped in with sincere intent. His steps came to a halt, his body stiffened, his eyes not blinking as he watched Jackson cuddling with a woman.
Aalis's hands clenched firmly. His heart suddenly became very sick. The woman again turned her body. He's getting out of there.
"Come in and give this to His Highness the Crown Prince." Aalis handed the tray she had held to Sadie.
As usual, Sadie did Aalis' command without asking much. The woman went in there and found what her employer had seen. So, is this the reason her employer came out again.
Sadie cursed Jackson in her heart. This man really did not appreciate the efforts of his employer who had made the Cake.
Jackson realizes Sadie's whereabouts, he instantly releases his hand from Berlia's waist.
"Puni servant, Your Majesty. Servant was ordered by Her Majesty the Empress to deliver this cake and tea." Sadie Excited.
"put it on the table." Jackson said.
He did not want to take too much into account the gifts from Aalis. He was afraid that it would hurt him if he knew there was a reason behind the gift.
"Please enjoy, Your Majesty. I'll be stepping down soon." Sadie bowed respectfully then left after waiting for a while.
"I'm sorry, brother. I think the Empress' maid would misunderstand what she saw earlier." Berlia. She was able to start accepting Aalis as the wife of her brother.
"Not to think about. Her Majesty the Empress won't care about it." Jackson stepped back to his desk.
Berlia almost fell down while trying to pick up a book, he quickly caught Berlia's body. Jackson didn't know what it looked like, but he didn't really care. After all, such a thing would have no effect on Aalis.
Berlia said nothing more. He tried to get the book he wanted to read. And succeeding, he did not fall this time. "I'll borrow this book, brother, when I'm done I'll give it back to you."
"All right." Jackson replied briefly.
Let alone one book, he would lend all his books to Berlia. He knew his younger brother liked knowledge, the book being one that Berlia liked in addition to martial arts.
"I'm sorry then."
"I can't drive you."
"I understand." Berlia smiled and walked out of Jackson's study.
Since a few days ago Berlia did come to visit Jackson, but it was not for his personal motives, but to talk about natural disasters that occurred.
Previously Berlia had gone to a place affected by the flood. He volunteered there. Helping flood victims who are experiencing health problems.
Berlia had also thought of ways to cope with the flood. He had thought of a plan, but was not yet mature. When he's done, he'll talk to Jackson again.
After Berlia left, Jackson stayed alone. He looked at the other table in the middle of the room. There's cake and tea that Aalis' waitress brought in there. Aalis's sudden kindness made her suspicious.
Jackson ignored the cake with that seductive smell. He was drowning in his work.
Jackson's workspace is large and luxurious. Inside there are several giant bookshelves with some furniture such as chairs and tables for Jackson to work on.
There is also a chair to welcome guests. Behind Jackson's desk is a large painting hanging there. To the left of Jackson's desk is a place to put a sword.
Meanwhile Aalis had returned to her residence. His slightly improved mood today returned to bad.
What he saw was almost exactly like what he had in his dream. What he did was also the same as the woman who was betrayed by his lover. He turned and left.
At this time Aalis also wanted a drink that could make him drunk. He really did not like the feeling he was feeling right now. Too painful.
"Why? Why is it like this? Why does it feel so painful to see His Highness the Crown Prince with another woman. No, I can't possibly like it." Aalis denied her own feelings.
Aalis' chest is getting claustrophobic. He obviously hated Jackson, then how could there be this feeling.
