Five days passed. Groft's troop of warriors had set their feet back to the capital. The people of Groft welcomed the return of their two Princes who survived the destruction that occurred in Menzel.
The people who were there looked very happy.
Behind Crown Prince Jackson and Prince Caesar. Aalis stared flatly at the Groft people she was passing through.
The people who saw a woman riding behind their two Princes began to guess who she was.
Is that Deputy General Aalis? But, is the woman safe? And why he wears a veil that covers part of his face so difficult to recognize.
They wanted to see, the beauty that Aalis had. Because, wouldn't Aalis be one of the second Prince's concubines. They guessed, Aalis must have a very pretty face. However, rumors about the two beautiful Princess Menzel are widespread.
The group continued to step until entering the palace gate. In a large square in front of the main hall of the Groft palace, King Wylus and the rest of the palace's inhabitants had been waiting for the return of Crown Prince Jackson and Prince Caesar.
King Wylus looked as dashing as ever, the man was wearing black clothes with Golden embroidery which made the luxurious clothes look even more luxurious.
The 45-year-old still looks young and handsome. The good looks he passed on to his sons.
Next to King Wylus was Queen Eiliosia who looked graceful and gentle. The woman looks so perfect with a matching colored dress with her husband.
Likewise with Grand Concubine Dhyanda, the woman was no less beautiful than the Queen. Yes, indeed all the wives of the King have a youthful face.
"The Crown Prince salutes His Majesty the King!" Crown Prince Jackson kneels before King Wylus, as does Prince Caesar.
King Wylus smiled happily. He patted the shoulders of Crown Prince Jackson and Prince Caesar. "Arise Crown Prince, Prince."
Both stood by the orders of King Wylus. Then, King Wylus turned to stare at a woman standing behind his two sons.
"Ah, is this Deputy General Aalis?" King Wylus asked with the title that Aalis often held. However, he knows what the fate of the unwanted Princess is like, especially his kingdom has been destroyed.
Aalis took one step forward. "Aalis salutes His Majesty the King." Aalis lowered her head in salute.
"I greet you, Aalis."
After the pleasantries on that vast field, people began to leave that place. Crown Prince Jackson and Prince Caesar were asked to go to the throne room, while Aalis, he went to the place that had been prepared for the woman.
However, apparently. Aalis preferred to come to the throne room because there was something he wanted to convey to King Wylus.
"Your Majesty, let me talk."
"Alright, just say it, Aalis."
His Majesty the King let Aalis talk. He wanted to know what the woman wanted to talk about.
"Your Majesty, I want to cancel my engagement to Prince Caesar."
Everyone was shocked to hear what Aalis said. Is this woman sane? How could he possibly cancel the engagement with the most interested man in the city.
Now everyone thinks Aalis must have lost her mind.
Prince Caesar's face darkened. It was her self that should have broken off the engagement with Aalis, not the other way around. Aalis completely humiliated herself by dumping her in front of everyone.
Indeed, Aalis thought who he was to dare humiliate him.
Not only was Prince Caesar unhappy, but Grand Consort Dhyanda as well. Although the woman did not like Aalis to marry her son, but still this was embarrassing for her son.
The woman did not know herself like Aalis dumped her star-like son in the sky. It's so very brave.
"Do you really mean what you want?" ask King Wylus.
He was honest and very sorry that his second son had to be betrothed to Aalis, but because he wanted to defend his kingdom he could not save his son.
"I'm very sure, Your Majesty. This matchmaking happened because of a political marriage, and I want to cancel it because my title is not a Princess anymore. I don't have any feelings for Prince Caesar,
So I don't want to continue this engagement anymore." Aalis spoke loudly without the slightest hesitation.
Crown Prince Jackson in his place was now smilingly staring at Aalis. What a brave woman.
Next to Crown Prince Jackson, Prince Caesar was further immersed in anger. Not having any feelings? Just be right.
"Prince Caesar, what about you?" King Wylus turned to his second son.
Prince Caesar stepped into the center of the room, he stood next to Aalis. His face lifted up looking at his father. "Your Majesty, I don't want to continue this engagement again. I've tried to accept Aalis, but I still can't cultivate any feelings towards Aalis."
The atmosphere in the room was completely silent now. So, they're dumping each other now. It was actually a reasonable thing if Prince Caesar gave up on his engagement to Aalis.
Having a wife of unclear origin would humiliate Prince Caesar.
Judging from any side, Prince Caesar and Aalis could not be juxtaposed.
