Today's Aalis lesson is over. When he was about to leave his study, a palace servant came to him.

"Miss Aalis, Her Majesty the Great Concubine invites you to have tea with her." the maid conveys an order from her master.

Aalis frowned. Why suddenly Grand Concubine invited her to drink tea even though before this woman had never greeted her let alone invited her to drink tea. Aalis was sure, there must be something behind this invitation.

"Good." Aalis could not possibly reject the Great Concubine's invitation, so she immediately stepped in even though she did not know what the Great Concubine was planning against her.

"Daughter, I have a bad feeling." Sadie whispered softly next to Aalis.

"Everything will be fine, calm down." replied Aalis. He continued to step following the servant who showed him the way.

After walking for ten more minutes, Aalis arrived at the courtyard of the Great Concubine's residence. He was taken to a small pavilion located in the middle of the pond.

This was the first time Aalis had visited this place. He had heard that the Grand Concubine's residence was no less beautiful than the Queen's residence, and yes it was true.

In that place there are many types of colorful flowers, as well as a garden that is in a special shape according to the request of the Grand Consort.

In the pavilion it turned out that not only was there Grand Concubine, but there was also an Honorary Concubine as well as three other Concubines in addition to the three princesses of the king, only the Queen was not in that place. Ah, are they all currently gathered to gang up on her.

"Aalis, facing His Highness the Great Concubine."

Aalis did not call herself the daughter of Menzel or the former deputy general, but she greeted him without mentioning her status.

"Please sit down, Aalis." Grand Concubine Dhyanda invited Aalis to sit on an empty bench that had been prepared before.

"Thank you, Your Highness Grand Concubine. " Aalis slightly bent her knees then immediately stepped onto her seat.

"What about your lesson today? Was it hard?" asked Grand Concubine Dhyanda with her gentle voice. The graceful face of the woman hid her dislike towards Aalis who had already humiliated her son in front of many people.

"In reply to His Majesty's Grand Concubine, it's not too difficult, Your Majesty's Great Concubine." Aalis replied politely.

"Aalis, it is not polite to talk to Grand Concubine's mother using a veil. Everyone here doesn't cover their faces, so you should do so to honor Grand Concubine's mother." Princess Berlia, daughter of the Concubine of Honor looked at Aalis arrogantly.

This woman also disliked Aalis because the beauty that Aalis had was unusual.

Opening the veil for Aalis was not something difficult. He did not want to look for trouble with the Grand Concubine so he opened the thin cloth that covered his face.

"I don't mean to be disrespectful, Princess Berlia. Forgive me for my ignorance." Aalis spoke in a calm tone. He knew Berlia had not liked him since his arrival. I don't know what sins he committed to the four kings' sons.

Berlia snorted softly, her eyes growing cold. He really hated Aalis' beautiful face.

"You have a pretty face, Aalis. Why are you hiding it from everyone?" ask Grand Concubine Dhyanda.

He thought Aalis broke off the engagement with her son because Aalis was over-assessing herself highly. True, Aalis is indeed beautiful, no one can match her, but that does not mean Aalis can dump her son at will.

Aalis should feel lucky to get a proposal from the second Prince of this kingdom.

Grand Concubine Dhyanda grew increasingly irritated when she thought Aalis was getting a royal decree married to Crown Prince Jackson.

This further humiliated his son, because after dumping his son Aalis along with his son's rival.

"The beauty I have does not make me a showy woman, Your Majesty." Aalis answered according to her heart.

"Please!" The Concubine of Honor stared at Aalis sharply. "So you mean, those who don't wear veils are women who like to show off!" accuse the Concubine.

"I don't mean to be presumptuous, Honorary Concubine. I only gave an answer to Grand Concubine. What you said just now was based on your thoughts, not mine." replied Aalis.

"Just because you're getting married to Crown Prince Jackson, doesn't mean you can be rude to us, Aalis." The Honor Concubine was further enraged by Aalis's reply which she considered impudent.

Aalis did not want to please anyone with her answer, she was not the sweet-mouthed type of sycophant.

"Enough, Honorary Concubine. Aalis just doesn't know how to behave in the palace, you know for yourself she's always been on the battlefield. He didn't mean to disrespect you." Grand Concubine Dhyanda defended Aalis, and Aalis knew it was not something good.

If he had never gone through a life full of theatrics, he would have believed that Grand Concubine Dhyanda defended him, but because he had gone through so much hypocrisy in his life, then he could see what kind of charade the Great Concubine was playing at the moment.

This woman with a gentle and elegant face was much more vile than the Former Queen Menzel. I don't know how many people he had removed secretly to secure his current position.

"I don't want any quarrels at this banquet. Today was the first day Aalis joined here, so be a little loose on her for this time." continued Grand Consort Dhyanda.

The Honor Concubine said nothing more. He followed the orders of the Grand Concubine not to make a fuss.

"Now enjoy your tea." Grand Concubine Dhyanda raised her cup, blew it a little and drank it. His eyes glanced at Aalis who was currently lifting the cup then straightened the drink.

Aalis now knew why Grand Concubine Dhyanda had invited her to the banquet, the woman wanted to get rid of her. In the tea that he drank just now there was a poison that was quite strong. He had another hour or two left to live, just like the poison that the Former Queen Beatrix had given him.
