People who have taught him about love and loss.
Cho Kyuhyun's.
The man sat behind a large table, leaning back in his chair comfortably. And his head tilted to the right as his eyes looked at Lee Hyura's entire body. His hair was as dark as midnight, cut perfectly to frame his staunch face.
Handsome were not words that could be used to describe Cho Kyuhyun. That'll never be possible. Sexy. Cool. Those are the right words for him. The door closed behind Hyura, locking her inside the office with her.
Kyuhyun got up from his seat, walking towards Hyura with slow and sure steps. With each step that Kyuhyun took, Hyura stiffened, her body powerless to do otherwise.
“Kyuhyun-ssi.”
“It's been a long time.” His words were deep, rumbling in the darkness.
“Ya.”
“Please sit.” Even though there was no sweet smile, Hyura still complied. He sat on the long sofa nervously, a little reluctantly staring at Kyuhyun who was staring at him flatly. The treatment four years ago was of course impeccable, Hyura could see it in Cho Kyuhyun's black eyes. “After such a long time, I thought you had forgotten me.”
Hyura smiled awkwardly. “Sorry.”
“For?” Kyuhyun tilted his eyes probing, not just one, Hyura had already made her heart ache several times. But it was Hyura's last treatment that made Kyuhyun to this day continue to remember Hyura. “Sorry for bothering me or sorry for treating me unfairly, Hyura-ssi?”
The cold speech successfully made Hyura close her eyes, trying to ward off the tears that were preparing to descend if only she revealed the reason why she had left Kyuhyun in the past.
“That's a past incident, I didn't come to discuss that issue.”
Kyuhyun snorted, grinning to insult Hyura who seemed to be fine after successfully making her sleep unwell for so many years. Look at the girl now, though thinner than the last time they met yet still able to move on happily.
“Tell me how much you need, I'll get it ready soon for you.”
“Oppa.”
The oddity that made Hyura hurt, four years turned out to be able to change someone's personality. “After a second thought, we are not two people who can call each other by formal call Hyura-ssi.”
“Then what?”
“Come to Yeong Woo hospital, do a blood test.”
Kyuhyun did not understand Hyura's intentions at all.
“Test blood?”
“I have a daughter, she has leukemia. He needs a bone marrow that matches him, I can't do it because I have an infection.”
It took a lot of struggle for Hyura to be able to say that, but Kyuhyun still seemed to not understand the intention of the girl's words.
“I understand what you want, but there are things I cannot understand. In this world there are many people you can ask for help, but you came to me instead.”
Hyura ventured to look Kyuhyun in the eyes. “The child is 3 years old.”
3 year.
Kyuhyun sharpened his eyes when he remembered the time of their separation, with Hyura coming it was certain that the child the girl was talking about was her blood and flesh.
“You gave birth to a daughter? From me?”
Hyura could no longer hold back her tears, she nodded her head when her memory fell on Da Eun who was currently alone fighting for her life. Children who do not even understand that the disease sooner or later can make him die.
There was nothing Hyura could do but come to Kyuhyun.
“I don't need anything else, please come and have a blood test. There's nothing more I can do to save his life.”
“Go.”
