Chapter 19: The Pig Cage

This horror story was once felt by a 33-year-old man who we disguise his name to be Eko. About 10 years ago, or more or less in 2013 ago, the first time in his life, Eko experienced a horror event that even made him sick for several days. And even, to the point of traumatizing him now. But the event did not wear itself, actually happened because of the actions of his reckless attitude at that time. And no need to linger anymore, let's listen, the story I will tell, in this video.

In 2013, a village in Semarang, Central Java. At that time, more or less the last week, Eko officially became an unemployed. At the beginning of the week, he decided to stop working, as a shopkeeper at a baking and plastic materials agency. His expectations in the beginning turned out to be not in accordance with reality. With insane hours and workload, Eko was given a wage that he felt was out of proportion to the energy and time sacrificed. Working hours start from 8am, and end at 9pm. While the wages he received was 40 thousand per day, clean without any other frills of money.

When the day break comes, Eko will go home to eat. It can save money, but instead, he had to go back and forth riding a bike down a road that is quite far, maybe about 4 km once gone, and 8 km if you have to go back and forth. And Eko was only able to do it all for 5 months of work. Then after getting his fifth salary at the end of last week, he decided to resign. And immediately actively looking for job vacancies now.

After quitting work, Eko's activities now only help his parents who work as farm laborers. While to fill his free time, he will come to a friend's house or tongkrongan place to play, chat casually talk about many things. Even if there are other things, Eko can get the latest info about job vacancies from his friends. Exactly, like what Eko is now doing.

Right now, Eko is at the home of one of his friends. There is no particular reason he came there, just to have casual chats while smoking. Then on the sidelines of the small talk, to Eko, his friend named Vishnu also said, "Ko, my neighbor there is another nyari tuh. Not for long just a week, to take care of the pigs. Farm but not big, small doang. Want you?"

Quickly, Eko replied, "May. How much does it pay per day?"

Vishnu also thought for a moment. After being sure, he replied, "It's not wrong to say it's 30 thousand per day. Pretty right?"

The information just now immediately made Eko look sumringah. With an enthusiastic face, he again said, "May. Gede also a day if 30 thousand, just take care of pigs. From the previous gw work, 40 thousand but like the cooperation of invaders.” His words chuckled. Then he continued, “But why only a week?"

Vishnu immediately replied, "Gw neighbors tuh pig cattle kayak just for fun. Every day is also the real father who takes care of. Just next week, their family plans to go out of town for a week. There is a family event he said. Well, he's now a nyari who wants to take care of the pigs when he leaves. If you want, I'll tell you. But ready not? The pigsty smells really good. Udah that, the pig cage is also in the back of the village. The place is deserted, where many bamboo trees. Dare to?"

Without even thinking about it first, Eko immediately said, "Casual. Gw ready. Say if I have interest. Even if it's only a week, it's good for snacks. If only it could be nerus hehe."

Hearing Eko's readiness, Vishnu also chimed in by saying, “Yaudah, ntar gw sayin to his person.” Close the sentence. A serious conversation between them ended there. After the important conversation was over, the next, they started talking about things that were not important.

Then when the next day came, about 5 pm, Eko who was watching TV in the house with his father was still hearing the sound of knocking on the door. Quickly, he immediately opened the door. When the door opened, Eko saw a stranger in front of him now. It turned out that the uninvited guest was his friend Vishnu. He stopped by Eko's house with a motorcycle. Then the two of them began to sit on the porch of the house to chat.

Vishnu's arrival there is not without reason. He came to Eko's house with good news for her. About the job vacancy taking care of the pigs that they talked about yesterday, Vishnu also reported it back to Eko by saying, "Ko, my neighbor said, you can if you want to take care of the pigs. But he wants to see you first now. If you want to, let's take anterin to his house." Vishnu said seriously.

With no debate at all, Eko immediately agreed to the offer. By piggybacking on Vishnu's motorbike, they also went directly to the destination location.

Arriving there, the house with cream paint and a decent size greet Vishnu and Eko. Then their arrival was welcomed by the owner of the house, a rather old man of Chinese descent. After shaking hands with Vishnu and Eko, he told them both to sit on the porch. Afterwards, he said to Eko, "I will go out of town for a week. My cattle will not be taken care of. If you want, I will pay 200 thousand for a week. You willing?" Speak with kindness.

At the previous meeting, Eko remembered very well if Vishnu had said the wages of taking care of livestock a day was 30 thousand, and would last for a week. So if totaled, then the amount of wages that Eko will receive is 150 thousand. And now, the homeowner actually offers a wage to be even 200 thousand. As a fad job, of course this is nominal that is profitable for Eko, at least Eko's mind thinks so. So without any negotiation, he agreed to accept the offer. To Eko, he also confirmed one thing by saying, “Your work will feed the same cleaning the cage every day. Morning and afternoon. If you want to start working, I'll tell you how. But I reiterate, if you want to take care of the afternoon, start not late. If you stay overnight, you might be disturbed just as softly there. Don't want to, do you?” said him with a little chuckle. Then he continued again, “So in the morning, you feed him around 7. In the afternoon, try to start at 3 or half 4, so that the completion is not overnight. Because of my experience, if you want maghrib, it must be soft to start fad. Shake up bamboo trees or make noise. I said this is not for your children. Because I think it's better to be honest, right?” more or less that was the news that he wanted to convey to Eko.

Hearing his explanation at length just now, including the risk that will be disturbed by subtle creatures, Eko stick to accept the work. As for demons, ghosts, gentleness or whatever it is called, Eko doesn't care at all. To him it was just superstition. What Eko cares about is the 200 thousand money as payment. That'sallthatis. So without lingering, Eko also undertakes the work.

After agreeing, the two went home. But before going home, Eko was told that he would start taking care of the cattle for another 3 days.

Long story short, 3 days later it came.

Now the new time shows at 7 am. The cattle owner and his family had left the city last night in a private car. Leaving the pet pigs in the empty land behind the village to be taken care of by Eko.

This morning, Eko will begin her duties to take care of the cattle. Everything you need is provided there, including feed and some nominal money to buy other additional materials. After being told how to feed the livestock, Eko began preparing the feed in accordance with SOP. Every morning, he was asked to give rations to 12 pigs there, in order to maintain the nutrition of the livestock. While in the afternoon, he was asked to give them bran with mixed vegetables, maybe kale or carrot leaves that had been crushed. More or less it is the ordinance that must be obeyed when feeding the livestock.

Not to forget, he was mandated to clean the pigsty and its animals every day. In a way, pouring a lot of water into the cage, and also splash it into the bodies of the pigs, which will be drained of water to times that are behind the cage. Water to clean the cage and bathe the pigs, can be obtained from the hand pump wells that have been provided there. And for a week, that's the 2 main tasks of Eko in terms of taking care of livestock. Feeding 2x a day, as well as keeping the cage clean.

But there was one other thing that Eko had to obey. The owner of the cattle has told him not to be there. Frightened, the softeners will start to disturb.

About SOP work on how to feed or clean the cage, Eko will certainly obey orders. But when it comes to disturbing the subtle-creatures, who cares? Eko was not afraid of them at all. In fact, Eko was a person who did not believe in their existence at all. To him, such a thing was just superstition. Eko would be indifferent to such a thing. Yes, Eko is a brave male figure, who is anti with demons and such. Never once in his life saw a demon.

And on the fourth day he was on duty, out of nowhere, just because Eko wanted to prove their existence with his own eyes. In the afternoon, Eko intends to break the rules so as not to go there at night. From the bottom of his heart, there was a sense of desire to challenge the refined beings that so many people feared.

Until finally, the expected time came. Now the time has shown at 5 pm less. At this hour, Eko should have just returned home to take care of the livestock, but for today, he just left for the location.

As usual, the view of the bamboo tree greeted him when he arrived. The wind was gently beating on his body now. The sky was seen fading the light, the night landscape would spread a little more. Then after parking his bike on the edge of the cage, Eko began to walk slowly towards the cage.

And when he wanted to enter the cage, the sound of a motorbike was heard passing there. Eko didn't know who it was, but he said to her in a loud voice saying, “Not come home yet? I want it tonight. Continue again tomorrow. Later be disturbed loh.” Said the men who were riding the motorcycle.

Eko did not answer with words. He just smiled as he nodded his head to respond to the person. Then the man again drove his motorcycle after finishing advising Eko.

Understanding the meaning of the flattening of the person, Eko muttered to himself by saying, “Diganggu what? The devil? Believe the same thing. Weird.” Then he began to enter the cage with a grinning face like disdain.

Arriving in the cage, he began to prepare the food of the pigs quite dexterously. The container that had been filled with bran and kale leaf mixture was immediately mobbed by 12 pigs there when Eko put it in the corner of the cage. While the pigs were eating, Eko began to clean their cages by pouring a lot of water into them. The well of the hand pump there continues to release a lot of water when Eko moves the pump lever. Started to fill the black bucket container that was empty.

Then when he doused the cage with water, he heard a rustling sound from the side of the cage several times. But as if not caring, Eko continues to do his job without suspicion.

And the same thing happened again. The rustling sound was heard louder when Eko was pumping a well. Which finally, makes Eko become an adjustment. Then he began to walk closer to the source of the sound.

At this time Eko was already beside the cage where the rustling sound was heard. At the end of his eyes, there was nothing at the moment other than a towering bamboo tree. He also had time to walk around the cage with the intention of checking where the sound had just come from. But, there was not a single clue he got. The voice disappeared while he was looking for it. Feeling enough, Eko returned to work, pumping water to fill the bucket there.

And once again, while Eko was at work, that rustling sound started to sound again. Along with the voice that reads, Eko was just chattering by saying, “Woy, if you are really a demon, sorry-sorry, I am not afraid.” He said with a face full of courage. Then start watering the cage with a bucket that has been filled with water.

While Eko continued to work, the rustling sound was even stronger. It was as if he wanted to make Eko approach the source of the sound immediately. And finally, it worked. For the second time, Eko started walking closer to the source of the sound it was coming from again. Just like before too, he walked towards the side of the cage, where the voice sounded dominant from there.

But just like before, when Eko walked closer to the source of the sound, the rustling sound just disappeared. Feeling played with, Eko cursed by saying, “Woy satan jerk, if there really is out you. Don't just use the voice of the doang. Do you think I'm afraid?” he said it as an understatement. He walked around the cage again. But similarly, there was nothing Eko found there. Then he went back to work pumping water.

The rustling sound was again heard when Eko was pumping water. But not wanting to be stuck with a similar game, Eko is now reluctant to check the source of the sound as he did. Instead of feeling scared or curious, he just continued his work casually. Until then, a handful of sprinkles of tetiba sand just hit his body from above. The bored eco began to get upset, then he cursed with a loud tone, “Setan asu. Devil transvestite. Exit lu asu. You think I'm afraid of a bitch? Out you here satan.” He said with annoyance. Eko also walked directly to the side of the cage where the rustling sound was still heard now.

Then when he got there, again, the rustling sound just stopped. Feeling being played, Eko also cursed loudly again by saying, “Keut lu asu demon, satan jancok.” And according to his request, the bamboo tree there just shook. Eko saw it clearly. And when he saw that the bamboo tree was shaking by itself, it was like there was water falling down on his head.

While the bamboo tree was still shaking, Eko rubbed his head, and found a slightly sticky liquid stuck in his hand. It smells really bad. It smells like a pigsty that has never been cleaned. Astonished by that, Eko raised his head upwards. And immediately, he was aghast when he saw the demon wewe who was sitting cupping on the bamboo stems up there.

For the first time in his life, Eko saw the appearance of a demon that turned out to be so terrible and scary. Without any more caring about his unfinished work, Eko immediately ran away in fear, even his bicycle which he parked beside the cage until he left.

And after that incident, Eko was sick the next day. He was feeling jolly, his body was feverish. Whether because of shock or something else, it must have been yesterday that made Eko sick now.

After being taken to a smart person, 2 days later Eko began to be healthy again. But he was traumatized by the events of that day, where for the first time in his life, he saw the form of a demon that made him shock instead of dumbass. Even after the incident, Eko was reluctant to return to the pigsty. It was the father who finally intervened to finish the work left by Eko. And because of this incident, Eko, who used to be a brave man, is now a person who is afraid of mystical things.
