Hope Is You's

Hope Is You's
Thirty One's

This morning after the morning prayers Atika immediately completed his homework that is cleaning or cleaning the house - which he usually does after breakfast but since 8 am later he must attend the meeting discussion of the latest promo at the office, he finished his job faster.

Time showed at 6:30 as he stood in front of a long mirror in the corner of his room, pulled his black hair up and tied it up, once again he noticed her appearance and along with it the door of her room was knocked twice from the outside.

"Get in, not locked!" Alana's head poked out from behind the door upon hearing the orders from her brother who was in the room.

"Are you ready for the ball?"

"Why?" Atika asked without turning her head while busy inserting a small notebook and pen into her pink tote bag.

"Waiting for you below"

"Loh, I told you I wanted to go alone, because he wanted to stop at his burjo shop kak Ika, again wanted to eat a burjo." Atika said it while grinning to imagine a food consisting of green bean porridge mixed with black sticky rice, brown sugar and coconut milk.

"Whose father is waiting for who? Supervisor sir, already sitting sweet in the guest room waiting for brother."

"Huhuh? Don't ngaco!" Pekik Atika then swerved towards Alana and the High School girl just turned her eyes and turned to want to get out of her brother's room while saying,

"Jaudah, don't believe it. I told him to come home and tell him that Atika's sister doesn't mean I'm ngaco." Atika who heard him immediately ran over and passed Alana down the stairs, and her eyes were fixed on seeing the man in the supervisor uniform chatting with Dad accompanied by two warm cups of tea.

"What are you doing here?" Atika who was now standing beside her father continued to look at Faiz with a look of disbelief.

"Yes, I'm going to pick up brother, I'm going to pick up Alana." Alana who just came down from the stairs answered without question while glancing then a sinless grin looked at her brother who had glared at her.

"I'm sorry Alana yah nak Faiz, she's like it bothers her brother." Father said with a smile and was also replied with a smile by Faiz.

"It's okay with you." His eyes turned to Atika.

"You leaving now?"

"I'll get the bag first." Atika then went up to the room and attached her tote bag on the right shoulder.

"Atika pamit first, Dad" Atika then say goodbye to the father and then greet also kiss the back of the hand of Dad and followed by Faiz who did the same.

"Where aunt, um?" Faiz asked who had not seen Sharifah's mother.

"Your aunt is back at the stall, don't know why she hasn't come back. You just leave, it's too late to wait for Atika's mother." Atika and Faiz nodded then walked in hand and entered Faiz's car parked in front of the fence.

"Why am I not being answered?" They were now in a car driving slowly down the city road this morning.

*WA: Whats app/chat app*

"What the hell." Answer the Atika.

"Still craving?"

"Riggers? Make what?" Faiz chuckled at the sulking tone of voice that the girl kept hiding.

"Jaudah we stopped by breakfast first, because it takes energy." Said Faiz who got delicacy from Atika.

Faiz's car pulled over and stopped not far from the porridge shop. They went down and Faiz ordered before he sat down beside Atika who had chosen to sit in a plastic chair with a wooden table in front of him. Soon, the ijo bean porridge for Atika and bassang for Faiz-offered by a hijab-wearing woman.

*Bassang: white grits (typical makassar) mixed with coconut milk and sugar*

Atika's eyes were rounded with sumringah looking at the warm steaming Ijo bean porridge in front of her.

"So long ago Tika did not stop by, once dropped by a new one." The hijab-wearing women who delivered their orders stared at Atika with seductive smiles.

"Fast Brother Ika. This is the boss I'm tauk." The woman named Ika rounded her mouth and grinned.

"Kirain, because it's been a long time not stopping here with Ian." Atika suddenly stopped the movement of her hand that was stirring the porridge.

"I'm not the same as him, brother. He's engaged to someone else."

"So, don't talk about it. I want to eat, hurry to the office." Hearing that, Ika sighed disappointed and then stood up lazily and allowed his customers to eat breakfast and return to their normal activities.

Atika and Faiz eat their breakfast without sound - as usual, after spending and paying for it they continue the trip to the office.

"I guess you're one of the spectacular couples to let porridge know about you." Faiz reopened his voice after being in the car.

"Not really."

"This is the first and last time we've eaten at that porridge shop."

Atika turned her head and knitted her eyebrows.

"Why? Burjo kak Ika has been my favorite ever."

"I don't want us to eat or come to a place where there are memories of you and that man." Faiz's eyes stared hard at the street in front of him without looking a second at Atika who continued to look at him made Atika sigh then chose to look out the window, lazy to argue the man beside her.

At 7:20 they arrived at the office, Atika and Faiz walked side by side into the main door and parted ways in the lobby - Atika went up to the second floor and Faiz walked to the left through the glass door behind the receptionist and into his cubicle.

Meeting starts at 8 o'clock and runs smoothly and quietly until interrupted by adzan dhuhur who reverberated on a small speaker in the corner of the room that is connected to the mosque office.

Some people choose to have lunch first and then perform dhuhur prayer, but Atika prefers to fulfill his obligations first before heading to the canteen.

After performing the dhuhur prayer together, Atika walked casually to the canteen which was outside the building but still in the office environment.

His steps stopped when he heard his name being called from behind, he turned his head and narrowed his eyes to see a shoulder-haired woman walking over to him.

"Hi, Atica, right?" The woman's smile expanded after standing beside Atika, then she continued after seeing a nod from Atika.

"You go to the cafeteria, right? Together yeah." And Atika just nodded in doubt.

"You must wonder why I know you." Now they were sitting on long benches facing a long table in the cafeteria.

"You Devi?" Atika asked doubtfully and was answered with a nod of encouragement by the woman beside her.

"What is your relationship with Faiz?"

"I? Not you and Mr. Faiz..." Atika hung up her sentence, did not know what to say, and the woman next to her even laughed at Atika.

"Before I apologize, surely you think me and Mr. Faiz have a relationship?" Devi emphasized the word 'relationship'.

"Me and Mr. Faiz are nothing more than old friends who are now coworkers. Mr. Faiz used to tell me and we became familiar because we had joined the same organization."

"So, the one I was sorry about yesterday. When Mr. Faiz visited my shop, after a briefing he said if he came along with the scene, I initially did not immediately believe because I knew he was a man who failed to move on" connect Devi while grinning while saying her final sentence.

"But just when he said that the girl was in the car I believe when I took a quick glance at the car and there I saw you again taking us seriously. Ck ah, anyway that yesterday was just acting, I was told the same Mr. Faiz to behave sweetly with him, he said, her smiles and drugs are like an Indian film because she wants to see your reaction if she takes care of each other."

"He said that if he had stuck with you, he had lost his memories of the past thanks to you, and now he really could not escape from you. But you hung him." Devi laughed again in contrast to Atika who continued to put on an innocent look.

"And when he ran out of your anterin, he stopped by the store again because the file was left behind and you happened to be a nelfon, uh the same he was told to get hotter you. And jengjeng, it turned out."

"Successfully?" Atika just opened her voice after a long explanation Devi who then nodded then took a sip of sweet iced tea that had just been placed in front of her by the canteen maid.

"You look so bad at the jealousy. One of the proofs is that you saw I didn't like it"

"Who is jealous. I was prepared that Mr. Faiz should bother being jealous?!"

"Have no need to be arrested again. Even if you are not sure yet, you better accept Mr. Faiz and go first, gradually you will know and be aware of your own feelings."
