King and Spider

Once upon a time in a land called Scotland, there was a kingdom ruled by a king named James. During his tenure, James led his army into battle six times against the English aggressor.

However, in each of these battles, his troops were always defeated and beaten by the enemy who made them forced to retreat and flee to the forest to accept defeat.

One day, James went into the woods and saw an old hut without occupants and decided to hide there for a while until things improved.

After he managed to hide inside the hut, James decided to take a break and closed his eyes. Until at one time, heavy rain fell on the forest. The heavy rain made the roof of the old hut unable to withstand the pressure of the water that made the roof of the hut leak and water hit James's face that made him wake up from his sleep.

At that time, he increasingly thought and contemplated his fate because he had experienced defeat repeatedly even though he had tried as much as possible and mobilized all the resources he had. With the silence added to the sound of the rain made him think more about it which made his heart more sick and feel desperate.

One day, James looked up at the ceiling of the hut above his head, and there he saw a spider trying to make a nest in the rain.

Seeing this, James felt a tremendous admiration for the efforts of the spider and recalled the events that befell him. Until in the end, James stood up and let out a long sigh and loudly shouted, “I will enter the battlefield again for the seventh time!”

With the spirit he got, he rushed out and tried to gather his troops, set a strategy to return to fight against the enemy in front of him. With great difficulty, James and his men fought to take back the Scottish homeland. Until in the end he managed to drive out enemy soldiers and get the victory he wanted.

We often feel hopeless after failing at something. We think that we are not good enough and just give up.

However, we must remember that if we strive hard and constantly strive to achieve something, there is nothing we cannot achieve with our own strength. Although we have to fall many times, but if we keep getting up every time we fall, then believe the victory will be on our side.
