Chapter 42

"Are you avoiding me on purpose?"

The question from Alvin made Rani straight up her head, she stared pensively at the man who was looking at her sharply.

"Yes, naturally Vin, he would want to calm down for a while after what had happened to him."

Rani was going to answer Alvin's question, but he paused because Arman had already opened his voice. Apparently Arman's words just made Alvin a little aware, the man cleared his throat briefly to relieve his guilt.

"I see, for that I'm sorry about you, Ran." Alvin said later, this time his tone was a little slow.

"Yes, sir, then can I go back now?"

"Oh, yes, you can come in my car." Alvin was about to walk to his car, but Arman's voice stopped him.

"Let me drive him, didn't you just arrive at this restaurant? So, I think you still want to eat first."

Arman reminded Alvin that the man had just come to this restaurant.

"Yes, sir, I'm going back to the hotel with Arman because our destination is the same." Said Rani, his intention he wanted to end this debate, but he instead got a sharp gaze from Alvin.

"Yes already." Grunts Alvin then without saying anything else he passed away leaving the two men and entering the restaurant.

Arman and Rani throw each other a look at Alvin's behavior, Arman twists his shoulders before he walks towards his car. Rani followed behind the man. The two then slide off the restaurant and head to the hotel where Rani is staying.

Rani threw her body on the bed when she reached the hotel. His head feels dizzy, especially if you remember the events today. The woman then picked up her phone, then lit a flat object that had been sitting inside the suitcase for several days.

Instantly there were hundreds of chats and dozens of missed calls coming into his number, and it all came from Arman and Alvin. Two men who made their heads turn. Rani intends to put back her phone, but the thing suddenly makes a loud noise.

Rani sighed heavily while looking at the screen of her phone, Alvin's name visible on the screen. The woman then presses the green icon to receive the call.

"Finally you turn on your phone too, have you arrived at the hotel?"

"Yes, already. Just got." Rani replies back to her tired body.

"Yes, you've rested not anywhere." Alvin's voice sounded commanding but with a slightly gentle tone.

"Yes." Yeah." Rani answered briefly.

"When are you on vacation here?"

Rani tilted her body before answering Alvin's question.

"The day after tomorrow I'll be home."

There's a sigh across there, "can you delay a little longer?"

Alvin's question makes Rani flinch, he even wakes up from his comfortable position, "ma-you mean what, huh?"

"With me a holiday in Bali, I will bear the cost."

Rani blinked her eyes a few times, she still could not digest the words of the boss.

"Just don't go home first, now you better rest and I'll pick you up tomorrow morning."

"Do you know where I'm staying?" Rani asked while squinting her eyes.

"I can find you just by smelling you."

"People, dong."

"Heh, haphazardly, what do you think of me as a dog?"

"E-no, that's not what it means."

"Here you go, let you rest instead of slacking like that."

"But, Sir…."

The call was decided unilaterally by Alvin, making Rani annoyed. He then scratched his head in annoyance, starting tomorrow he should accompany Alvin on vacation in this place. I don't know what the man was planning.

Amid the permanence of Rani's phone again reads, this time there is an incoming notification in the messaging application. He was lazy to lift because his mood was suddenly bad and spoke to his superior earlier.

He intended to ignore the message and lay back in bed, but his phone roared again. He had to sit back and reach for his phone on the nightstand next to the bed. Five missed calls and ten messages from Arman were all the same. Ask if he is asleep or not.

Rani sighed reading the series of messages, she then replied briefly to the message.

"Yes, I'm asleep, what's wrong?"

Rani sends the message, looking Arman is typing. Rani frowned when reading the reply message. Only the emoticons laughed with their head tilted in line in reply to Arman's message. Rani frowned, astonished by the behavior of her friend.

"Why are you laughing?" Rani's next reply.

"You're funny, you said you were asleep. Who answered my message? A ghost?"

Rani hit her forehead, she realized what she had typed while replying to Arman's message. He said that when he went to sleep, of course he felt ashamed.

"What's wrong?" Type again to neutralize his embarrassment even though he can not see his interlocutor.

"There's nothing, so you're back in Jakarta tomorrow?"

Rani kept silent and did not answer, she was worried again.

"Not yet, either. Why?"

"I'm planning on going back tomorrow, can we go together?"

Rani massaged her temple which suddenly felt dizzy. One problem he could not decide, now comes another new problem.

"I don't know, look tomorrow."

"Do you have another purpose?"

Rani accidentally lets a message from Arman hang up without intending to reply. He opted out of the messaging app and turned off his mobile data. After putting his cell phone back on the nightstand, he returned to his body. This time he chose to lie on his back and face the ceiling of the room.
