I gasped at Mira's question just now, why don't I think about getting there.
"Let's see," I put my shoulders together in response, but that's none of my business anymore. Mas Ilham's son or not, is not something that matters to me now.
Suddenly my phone rang, from the pop up I could see that Mr. Alvin was sending me a message.
"Get in my room now."
I forgot that today I had to give an answer to the man's offer. After saying goodbye to Mira I stepped into my Boss' room.
"Bak Rani now, how come he's often called Mr Alvin?" Mr. Alvin's secretary asked with his face slightly julid. I may not accept visiting this room often.
"Yes, don't know, Mom, I asked. Why not ask yourself."
With a grim face the secretary knocked on the door, after saying that I was in front then he stepped aside and told me to come in. I went through it and put on the most beautiful smile I had.
Mr. Alvin glanced at me and then got back late with work through his laptop.
"I told you, didn't I, that I was waiting for your answer this morning?" He asked without distracting himself from the laptop in front of him.
"L-yes, sir, sorry."
"Then how?"
"Do I have to do this job a full day, sir? What about my job in this office?"
It's hard for me to get accepted to work in this place first, and now I have to let go.
"I've offered double the salary compensation, isn't that enough?" The man looked up his head at me.
Yes, the salary is quite decent but yes I switched professions to babbysitter.
"Do you want another option?"
My face was bright, I quickly nodded. Perhaps the other option Mr. Alvin offered could keep me working in this place.
"Can, sir, what is it?"
"You want to be my wife?"
Like being struck by lightning, that's how I felt when this man gave his answer. His wife? Just be right. My own household has been on the verge of collapse because of my husband's affair. Now I have to be this guy's wife, oh no.
"I'm sorry, sir, I'm married."
Ah, considering this my heart hurts again, because the husband I was proud of betrayed me. Mr. Alvin again raised his head and looked at me closely, I don't know what was on this man's mind. Then he looks like he's putting his shoulder out.
Suddenly I heard the cell phone on the man's desk dribbling, then saw him lift it up
"Hallo, honey."
"Why?" The man seemed to receive a call while looking at me.
"The pretty aunt who was home yesterday?" I gasped for this man to call me, maybe it was from his daughter Ananta. And did his daughter call me a pretty aunt.
"Yes, dear, soon Papa will take your beautiful aunt home."
The man put his phone back on and then looked at me again.
"How, Ananta's been looking for you. Did you refuse his request? Because my daughter is the kind of kid who doesn't get close to new people easily."
Yes, yes, I remember yesterday when I first saw her. Ananta who was initially afraid of me could get close just like that. Don't know why? I myself cannot be close to a child. And I also remember his eyes twinkle when he played yesterday. The little girl seemed to miss the figure of a mother.
"Why don't you just call your mom?"
This stupid question apparently provoked the anger of Mr. Alvin, proof that the man's face suddenly hardened. I cursed my own stupidity for meddling in his affairs.
"Don't try to interfere in my personal affairs. So now get ready because I'm taking you to Ananta's."
This man got up and put on a suit draped on the back of his chair, then walked out after ordering me to follow him down. The door of the room is open and immediately closed so that it makes quite a loud noise.
With fear and trembling I finally walked out of the room, ignoring the inquisitive gaze of his secretary. After picking up my bag I immediately caught up with the man.
"Stop, Sir! Stop that!" I screamed because I couldn't stand the way he was driving. Mr. Alvin turned his head for an instant then stepped on the brakes of his car, producing a loud squeaking sound. And even the car stopped just by the side of the road, fortunately the road conditions were a little quiet.
"Sir Alvin wants to make me die?"
I shouted no accept, if this man wants noah ma'am in ri please, but do not invite me to come along. Because I still want to be happy, even though I myself have problems I can still overcome them. Everywhere men are the same, like to impose the will but can never understand the position of women.
"I don't like you interfering in my personal affairs anymore!"
This guy's eyes stare at me, making my guts shrivel a little.
"I-yes, sorry,"
"I've been trying to find a nanny for Ananta for a long time, many babbysitters have applied to be my daughter's nanny. However, everything was rejected because Ananta did not like them in just one interaction."
The man seemed to be breathing.
"Why did I think it was time to bring you home, because I knew you were married so I thought you had a motherly nature. And it can be seen, right, that Ananta likes you."
"But I have no experience dealing with small children, sir, because I have no children myself. And I, I'm afraid I can't take care of Ananta to the maximum."
"But my heart says and trusts you."
"If I'm anyhow Ananta?" I deliberately asked like this to melt the atmosphere, because honestly seeing Mr. Alvin's tense face made me nervous.
"You'll be dealing with her father, and I hope you can persuade Ananta to go back to school."
"Lho, why did Ananta quit school?" I asked later, this car drove back to Mr. Alvin's house.
"Since my divorce and the girl's mother's been reluctant to go to school." Mr. Alvin's tone sounded pitiful.
I can imagine how the girl felt seeing her parents separated. The burden borne by children due to the divorce of both parents is very heavy. Not only his physical burden but also his psychic.
I can't imagine how Ananta lived his days after the separation of his parents. I myself am grateful at this time has not been given a baby, so they do not have to see me divorced with Mas Ilham.
"I hope your marriage is okay, defend what you have."
Ah, Mr. Alvin doesn't know if I've tried to survive as best I can, but I can't defend anyone who hurts me either.
