"Yes dong Mah, Papa is happy, because his calamity brings the blessing of Mah," said Darmawan, looking happy.
Hearing her husband's words, Rizka again frowned. "Worships bring blessings? What does Papa mean?!" the question sounds dirty.
"Well, you don't remember, do you? Our struggle to improve our children's homes. Even we have done various ways, but in fact, they are almost divorced? But, now that Atha had suffered a disaster, they were reunited again, when Mama did not understand?"
Hearing the explanation from her husband Riska instantly fell silent. What her husband said was true. It's just like he doesn't want to admit it.
"But keep talking, our son almost died Pah!"
"Well, all is planned by God, for all is done by His will. So whatever has become His will wants pleasure to be calamitous we still have to be grateful Mah," explained Darmawan gave understanding to his wife.
"But why Should We Be Grateful to see our child like that?"
"Because there is a promise of Allah. Sometimes in life we complain and are rarely grateful. For example, when it rains we complain of being unable to do something. So when it rains we definitely want the sun to shine brightly. But when the sun appears we complain of hot, sultry and would want to rain Mah?" said Darmawan, as he guided his wife to a chair in the hospital corridor.
"That's how humans are. As if God's grace were unprofitable. We think we can manage everything.
When we are happy, we thank God. But when it is difficult, we consider it a test. We certainly don't think that the pleasure God gives is also a test, do we?" continued Darmawan again, but Riska did not give a response.
"Well, pleasure, distress, joy, and sorrow are in fact a test for the believer. When given pleasure does not mean that God loves us. Conversely, when we are in trouble does not mean that God is angry with us.
Why should we be thankful? Gratitude is thanking. Does God's command to give thanks mean God expects a sense of love? The answer is certainly no. God does not need our thanks. He does not need anything from his servant.
Without our gratitude, God is Supreme. But you know that we thank God for the purpose so that the blessings of God continue to be added.
This is according to the promise of Allah SWT in Surat Ibrahim verse 7:
وَاِذْ تَاَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَىِٕنْ شَكَرْتُمْ لَاَزِيْدَنَّكُمْ وَلَىِٕنْ كَفَرْتُمْ اِنَّ عَذَابِيْ لَشَدِيْدٌ
"And (remember) when your Lord declares, if you are grateful, then I will add (mercifully) to you, but if you deny (my mercy), then My punishment will be severe." (QS Ibrahim verse 7).
"Well, His enjoyments that have been given to us are numbered. But God promises to add His favor again if we are grateful.
Gratitude is gratitude for all that is given, that is being given and that will be given by God to us. All that God has given us is to be grateful for either sustenance or other favors.
Allah brings down the pleasures, and Allah has sent down His rules. The goal is that we can enjoy more optimally for these favors. Thankful for one thing only then there will come countless other thanks" explained Rizwan at length. His wife, however, has not yet responded.
"Do you understand why we should be thankful?" ask Darmawan gently. And this time Riska responded. Even with just a nod of his head
"Yes Pah, in shaa Allah," replied Riska who was seen to have begun to be sincere.
"Yes come now we go in, pity Hani alone in Mah," said Darmawan as he got up while pulling his wife's hand.
"Alright Pah, Ayoo," Rizka replied as she rose from her seat, and the two entered Atha's room again.
"Assalamu'alaikum" said the two after they opened the door to his room.
"Wa'alaikumus hail Pah Mah" replied Haniah as he turned towards the door.
"Alhamdulillah, have you realized son?" darma said as she looked at Atha, who had opened her eyes.
"Alhamdulillah is Pah, just now Bang Hafizh realized. Sorry Pah, Hani answered, because Bang Hafiz is still very weak," said Hani, who replied to Darmawan's question, replacing her husband.
"No papa Son, Papa understands, for Papa to see your husband is aware like this, also very relieved Nak," replied Darma as he smiled gently at Haniah.
"Yes Papa has the same Mama went first to find food for you, surely you have not eaten?" ask Darmawan again to Haniah.
"Eh, how come Papa always knows?" sentak Haniah, he was so shocked because his father-in-law always knew. And it's true, from the day of Atha's accident Hani hasn't filled his stomach at all.
"Yes you know, Papa is like that," replied Darmawan as he blinked one eye, looking a little joking.
"Eh, Papah! Flirtatious," Haniah replied a little embarrassed.
"Hahahaha, Papa was just kidding. Yes, because your husband's porridge has come, you should feed your husband first, while waiting for Papa and Mama to return to buy your food, son," said Darma again.
"Yes Pah, In shaa Allah later Hani bribe kok his Son Papa," replied Haniah, a little joking as well.
"Well that's dong, make her eat a lot of yes son, let her husband you quickly recover, will you immediately make a grandson for Papa," said Darma again, said again, as he winked his next eye again.
At once Haniah was wide open to hear the words of the In-law, who asked for a grandson to be made.
"Eh, Grandchild?"
