In the car, I just sat staring at the outside glass, my tears were drying, I no longer wanted to cry.
I'm trying to go away, get away, put together pieces of a broken heart, even though it won't go back to its original state, but I'm trying to fix my heart first, before intending to get back in life.
"Where do you want me to take you?" ask a man of stout stature who is sitting in the driver's seat.
"Come now" I replied softly.
"Actually you have a problem, Sabrina. Tell me, I'll help you," he said.
Yeah, I've heard those words a lot since I first knew him in junior high school, he's always been kind enough to offer me help.
"I want to go" I said.
"Go? go where?"
"To a faraway place, I want to calm myself down,"
"Tell me first what your problem is, I'm confused where to take you, while you're Sabrina's wife, I don't want to be accused of kidnapping people's wives" the man replied firmly.
"I'll tell you about it, but please take me as far away from here as possible."
"You sure?"
"Yes." Yeah."
"Well, as you ask."
Finally the driver beside me drove his car fast.
The sky began to moody, the day darkened with raindrops that began to wet the car glass. I stared at the road that I had never been through, this is far from where I came from. It's okay, the better, the more I stay away the more I calm down.
"You hungry? we should stop by for a meal first, it looks like you haven't eaten since morning" he said.
"No, I'm not hungry."
"After this we will enter a village, there will be no restaurants there, we should eat first."
"You eat, I'm not hungry."
"All right, you just wait in the car," he said, then pulled his car over in front of a minimarket.
I didn't even feel anything in my body, neither thirst nor hunger, only the pain was deeply embedded in here.
I grabbed my phone, a lot of missed calls on the screen, a hundred more calls came from Mr. Joe, some messages from Riani asking for a dress I forgot to finish, and dozens of calls from new numbers, who knows.
A lot of unfinished responsibilities in the boutique, but I'm not strong enough, let everything go according to God's will, I no longer care about the fate of my boutique, I just want to fix my heart first.
I blocked all the contacts on my phone, everything, no exception, even the numbers belonging to my father and mother. I realized my actions were stupid, went missing without saying goodbye, but I'm sure, if my mom and dad knew about everything I was dealing with, they wouldn't blame my actions, hopefully.
"For you, eat a little" said the man who had just got into the car carrying a plastic bag of sandwiches and canned drinks.
"Let's put it down" I said again directing a glance at the side glass.
"Well, in an hour we'll be there."
The car again drove through the streets that began to be quiet, now the large paved streets changed with village roads whose size is not enough for two cars that are paved, maybe one of them has to find a slightly loose spot to give way to another car.
The atmosphere of the crowded village makes me a little interested, many people sit in front of the terrace of their homes, the houses here are simple, indeed, but each house has a yard that is wide enough that many small children play in front of it.
"Where are we?" my many.
"A remote village at the end of town, you never know?"
"No."
"You'll love our destination" he said with a smile.
I just nodded, re-circulating the view looking at a different atmosphere than I used to see.
The village road is now replaced with a rocky road that is getting narrower, the size is only enough for one car, there is no more gap on the left right.
The houses began to be sparse and far apart, the atmosphere was getting quieter. The trees grew thickly on the left right side of the road, occasionally we just paced with one or two motorcycles.
The silent atmosphere of the night made the sounds of crickets and night beasts sound loud in the ears, they were like singing to do a melodious chorus.
"In a moment, are you scared?"
"No."
"We're entering the forest area, I have a villa there."
I just nodded, staring at the very dark street, there were only a few lights that were perhaps far apart.
After nearly thirty minutes we walked down a rocky path in the middle of the forest, finally a bright light was seen from a distance.
"That's my villa," he said as he pointed to the origin of the light.
After arriving at the villa yard, we were greeted by a middle-aged couple with their simple look, their faces were so welcoming, warm smiles continued to be emitted.
"This is Mr. Teguh and his wife, Ms. Ningsih. They're the ones who look after this villa, they're not actually sleeping here, they're in the neighborhood we passed, but if you don't mind, I'll have them accompany you here for 24 hours," said the man standing beside me, his tall body making the light beam blocking the light that shone on me, because my height was just under his shoulders.
"I'd be happier if there were them, Han," I replied with a slight smile.
"Let's go in" said Ms. Ningsih politely.
"Please prepare dinner yes, ma'am," said Duhan.
"I'm not hungry, Han."
"You should eat, Sa. I don't want to take responsibility if you starve to death" he said, jokingly.
"All right." I relented.
"His mother wants some fried rice?" ask bu Ningsih.
"You, Mom. Whatever I want," I replied smiling kindly.
"Rest first, while waiting for our dinner to be ready," said Duhan invites me to walk into the villa which all the walls are made of teak wood in a shiny temple.
"Your room is upstairs, let me drop you off." she continued.
This villa is quite large, all the furniture is made of wood. There are chairs, tables, various wall hangings and some large flower pots, all made of wood, unique. There was also a fireplace in the corner of the living room, and several chairs lined up in front of it.
"This villa is nice, unique," I said after Duhan delivered right in front of the door of the room that would be my resting place.
"You likey? I have a library downstairs, there are a lot of reading books you can read, tomorrow morning I'll take you around, you'll be amazed by this place," he said excitedly.
I nodded, then entered the room and closed the door. This room is not so spacious, but everything is arranged very neatly, a fairly large wooden couch with a soft mattress and a pair of white-gloved bolted pillows makes me want to sleep more immediately.
Despite going so far, I didn't bring a single change of clothes, only the clothes that stuck to my body at this moment were all I had. I didn't even think about it, because all I had in mind was how I could get away, that's all.
Ah, it's okay, tomorrow I'll ask Ms. Ningsih to buy some change of clothes.
Finally I began to lay down my body that was completely tired, tired of heart and mind.
