10. George's Successor

Day after day had passed, it had been a long time since Nean had been locked up by his uncle, and now he had to prepare for the day of his uncle's engagement to one of the noble daughters.

Nean looked at himself in the mirror, a black vest and a tie around his neck, this expensive-looking formal outfit he had only worn for the first time in his life, it makes him look very dignified for his age of 12 years.

Many whispers from the nobles were heard, but they returned to silence as Deus reopened his voice.

"As you say, he is the son of my late brother, Duke Arfaus. When he's 20 years old, he'll take my place as Duke, I think it's age enough to hand over my position to my nephew who is George's original successor" He said again in a loud voice, he managed to get a standing ovation from the nobles.

Nean walked in the backyard of his residence, he then went into an underground tunnel that he made for access to get out so as not to be caught by the guards.

The tunnel was also made in a place that was impossible to see by the servants and guards, so he could go out quietly without anyone's knowledge.

"It's my chance to get out, everyone is busy with uncle's engagement party, so I won't get caught" Inner Nean.

"I'm going to go see the strange girl" He continued, then moved out of her residence.
