Mr. Prapto had to go around his car to catch up to the old man who was moving into the school building. For a few seconds the old man slipped from his monitor. He could not have gone through the road directly chasing the old grandfather because his car was too tight to ditch. After being left behind for a few seconds it turned out that Mr. Prapto lost track of the old man.
“Grandpa! Where are you, Cake?” shouted Mr. Prapto as he stepped towards the gate that opened slightly.
There was no word from inside the school building area as if the old man had not paid attention to Pak Prapto's call. This time Mr. Prapto has run out of patience. He was tired of being terrorized by the old man. This time he wanted to go head-to-head and fight the old geezer. Wanted to ask the old man for an explanation as to what the reason was always bothering him.
Pak Prapto entered through the gate that opened a little. His gaze was fixed on the uninhabited Satpam post. He had met with the Security Guard who guarded the school, which was when the security guard was called as a witness in the case of the killing of Mr. Misnanto.
“Grandpa!!” Back Pak Prapto called the mysterious grandfather earlier while walking in through the Satpam post.
The lighting between the two buildings that become a hallway to enter the school area is not bright enough because it only uses 10-watt lights. Maybe the school deliberately uses lights that are not too bright to save the use of electrical power. Mr. Prapto stepped into the passageway to chase after the old man. He was sure that the old man must have also passed through the hallway. Mr. Prapto slowly stepped through the hallway and finally he was in the inside of the school area with a circular building shape. Unfortunately, from the entire building all the lights are turned off and leave only one room whose lights are still on. Maybe it was an office.
“Duh, it's dark. Where did the old man go?” Mr. Prapto wondered to himself.
Unanswered his question, suddenly Mr. Prapto heard the creaking sound of iron that was shifting. The source of the voice came from behind the man. Mr. Prapto looked back to ascertain what the voice was? And the man was surprised because it was the sound of the gate closing by itself. Mr. Prapto also felt that something was not right in that place. Not even answered his curiosity, suddenly the lighting in the hallway was extinguished. And at that moment Mr. Prapto from the tail of his eyes saw the figure of an old man who was standing looking at him but the condition of the old man was much different from what he had seen before. His face and body were full of wounds and the look in his eyes was very creepy. For fear of the man ran towards the gate that was already in closed condition.
As Mr. Prapto ran towards the gate, the man felt that someone was following him from behind. The man did not dare to turn his head because he was very sure that the one who was following him at that time was the creepy figure of the old man. What was in Mr. Prapto's mind at that time was how he could get out of the school area immediately.
Prangs! Prangs!
Mr. Prapto tried to pull the iron gate in closed condition with all his strength. Unfortunately, the power does not mean anything because the gate seems to have been locked tightly and difficult to open. The shadow of fear was increasingly felt by Mr. Prapto because he felt the figure of the old grandfather was getting closer to his current position. While all the efforts he made to open the gate were useless. Even in desperation, Mr. Prapto tried to climb the gate. Unfortunately, he had to undo his intentions because with his current posture there was no way he could hang on the fence. The ends of the fence were made quite sharp and the distance between the iron is quite tight and very high. Inevitably the man also returned to use his energy to force open the gate.
The hard work done by Mr. Prapto was only in vain because the gate remained standing firmly and closed tightly. This time Pak Prapto could feel that the figure that was following him was already right behind him. Cold sweat also crept profusely from the skin pores of the senior police. He took a deep breath as his back was touched from behind by someone. There's no point in running anymore. Mr. Prapto is ready to face the figure of the creepy grandfather. With all the courage that remains, Pak Prapto looked back.
“Pak Prapto!!”
“Pak Rudi!!”
The two men looked at each other in shock.
“What is Pak Prapto doing here?”
“Ka-you ..”
Both are equally stammered. Mr. Prapto felt a little relieved because the figure that was in front of him now was not a ghost as he had expected. But Mr. Rudi, the principal who had contacted him at the time of the discovery of the body of Mr. Misnanto in the school library room.
“Yes, I'm Mr. Rudi. Mr Prapto why are you here night-night?”
“What is Mr Prapto looking for additional evidence here?”
“I-iya, Mr. Rudi. I am looking for additional evidence for the case of Mr. Misnanto.”
“Why are the nights here, Mr Prapto? And why not contact me first?”
“Anu, Sir. I really don't intend to come here. It's just right through here where the office lights are on. I think there is no harm if I stop by for a while.”
“Oooo .. It just so happens that I am overtime because there is a school work that must be completed immediately. But, just now it's done so I'm already going home.”
“Oooo. Hm .. then I come back again anytime to look for other evidence.”
“It's best that way, Mr. Prapto. If the night here the condition is less comfortable.”
“Why is it night, Mr Rudi?”
“Yes is okay. Only if the night ntar Pak Prapto no one can accompany. Consumption is also not there because all employees have gone home. Better Mr. Prapto come back tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. Later I help to find other evidence.”
“Hm .. Alright then. Oh yes .. The gate is a little difficult to open, huh?”
“Nno, Sir. Easy how notya stay pulled just like gini.”
“Loh!”
Mr. Prapto was stunned when he saw Mr. Rudi easily open the gate.
“Monggo, Sir!”
“Thank you, Mr Rudi!”
Finally, Pak Rudi and Pak Prapto left the school area to their homes. Pak Prapto's wife was still in a deep condition in the car. So she did not know that her husband had experienced some strange events in the school area. After the death of Mr. Prapto and Mr. Rudi, a shadow of an old grandfather was standing at the gate in a sad state. He was crying like he was enduring extreme pain.
