23. Look in

Arthur is still not out of thought, how could Brianna be the woman he calls last night? He tried to contact the service provider number to find out more info. One of them is since when did Brianna do such a side job.

But the answer that Arthur got, it was very astonishing.

"She's been working as a night woman for a long time."

That's what Arthur heard from the person involved in his transaction last night. Of course Arthur got the answer, because what they mean is Cecilia, because from their data it is written that the one who captures the job of Arthur is Cecilia. A knock on the door awakens Arthur from a situation that is still dissolved in anger against Brianna. He got up to the door and opened it.

"Mom?"

Arthur was surprised his mother came to see him in his hotel room. Unable to deny Jane's presence there, she can only shift the body giving her wider access so that she can visit her place.

Jane took a quick look at the room where her son had taken shelter in New York, a faint smile rising at the corner of her lips.

"What is it that Mom suddenly came to visit me?" ask Arthur.

"What's wrong if you see your own child?"

Arthur clucked his tongue. "Ck, don't you, Mom. I mean, is there anything Mom needs from me?" tanyakanya.

Jane sat herself on the sofa at the end of the room. He's got a chest.

"Mom just wants to see you before you go back to Canada. Mom thinks you forgot you ever promised you'd stop by mommy's house for dinner."

"Ah, yes," said Arthur while recalling his own words the other day.

"Mommy knows you must have forgotten it" Jane said with a long sigh.

"I'm sorry, Mom."

"It's okay, you can postpone your return to Canada then," Jane said lightly.

Although actually Arthur also wanted to postpone his return because he felt the problem with Brianna was not finished, but he had already booked a ticket home. And Jane's request now is like a green light so she doesn't return to Canada right away. But what about his responsibilities there? Arthur must not be selfish because of his own personal interests.

"I've booked a return ticket, Mom."

"No problem. Just add to your two days here" Jane replied calmly.

"But I have a responsibility, Mom. There are a lot of people who depend on companies in Canada and if the company goes bankrupt in my hands then there are a lot of people who lose their jobs and their livelihoods."

Jane frowned for a moment, then she arched a smile. Didn't expect Arthur's answer to be this mature. Usually his son just play around and never focus on working.

"Woa, have you thought about anyone else?" jane sarcasm.

"I'm thinking about myself, too, Mom. I know I'm nothing if I don't inherit the company of the late Daddy" he admitted.

Once again Jane was amazed by Arthur's speech that was beyond her thought. Actually he did lure Arthur alone to see what the child will choose, it is unexpected that Arthur has changed a lot.

"Alright. finish your job. And go back to Canada" Jane said wisely.

"Yes, Mom."

Jane stood back up, then looked silently at the view of the city from the large window glass that was there.

Arthur notices his mother's attitude, in which case Jane looks just like him. No, she looks like Jane. Arthur can confirm if there's something Jane's thinking.

"Is there another problem, Mom?"

Jane took a deep breath. "Brianna will not resign" he replied.

Oh, so that woman was also the source of her mother's mind, Arthur thought Jane and her were really similar now that Arthur was thinking about Brianna too.

"That's good, isn't that what Mom wants?" arthur said trying to deepen the heart of the mother.

"Well, but he had borrowed some money from the company, which Mommy regretted was not helping him. Mom felt sinful for it," Jane said with a visibly restless face.

"He borrowed money?" arthur confirmed his mother's words.

Arthur was silent for a long time, he thought hard is this the reason Brianna worked like last night? But from the info he got that Brianna had long worked like that.

"Will Mom go to the hospital, Arthur? Visiting the boy while helping with his medical expenses?" Jane asked the child's opinion.

"I think Brianna's got the cost, Mom."

Jane looked at Arthur. "Where do you know?" tanyakanya.

Arthur seemed to scratch his neck that did not itch, he looked wrong behavior.

"Did he borrow you?" Jane guessed because she saw her son's strange girly.

"No, of course he didn't borrow from me" Arthur said. "I'm just guessing, Mom," he continued.

"Oh ..." Jane mangosteen. "Then, Mom will visit the child and make sure about the cost" he explained.

"Well, go ahead, Mom. If it can make you relieved, why not?"

"Do you want to come?" take Jane.

Arthur thins the lips. "Mom forgot if I can't delay my return to Canada? I used Mom's afternoon plane" she told me.

"Then, Mom will be there alone. Sorry for not taking you to the airport. Let me know when you get there."

"It's okay, Mom. I'll let you know later" replied Arthur.

Zach is playing with Chico in the nursery of the 3-year-old. He also narrated many stories for Chico that made Chico occasionally listen, then occasionally laugh next.

Brianna suddenly came to the son's room, after finishing from the company where he worked. Both hands tote some paper bags containing toys for Chico.

"Hi, honey, Momma's coming." Brianna put on a feisty face.

"Momma ..." Chico got up from his previous position half lying down. "What are you carrying, Mom?" tanyanya enthusiastic.

"See? Mom bought you a plane!"

"Woa .. thank you, Mom." Chico hugged Brianna tightly with a smile.

"Mom also bought Chico a toy car and a miniature train."

"Momma, I love you" Chico said, kissing Brianna's back in a row.

There, in the same room, Zach looked at Brianna with a deadly look. After last night the older brother was unable to answer his question regarding what work he did to earn a lot of money, Zach seemed to silence the woman deliberately.

"I bought you this too, Zach." Brianna thrust out a paperbag for Zach who was only stared at by the man without any intention of welcoming him.

Brianna put on a faint smile, she knew Zach was mad at her. But he kept trying to be nice to his sister. Brianna knows Zach this way because he loves her and worries about her.

"Ah, yes, this ..." Brianna looked around looking for another package, and then she got it. "This, I also bought it for Flo," he said trying to melt the atmosphere.

"You don't have to bother buying me and Flo anything." Zach spoke coldly as he stood up from his seat, then he passed from the room just like that.

Brianna looked at the sister who left without receiving a gift from her. He's not disappointed, he knows that Zach is disappointed in him now.

"I'm sorry, Zach ..." Inner Brianna.

"Momma, may I open the miniature train?" Chico's voice made Brianna focus on the boy again.

"Yes, Honey. Of course you can."

They play and tell each other stories. Brianna also asks what Chico feels now and thankfully her son is fine.

"Excuse me, sorry I came here to visit." Brianna turned to Jane who suddenly appeared from the doorway. He just walked in. Brianna's eyes until they see it.

There's definitely no Flo or Zach out there who should be able to prevent something like this. Maybe they're going to the hospital cafeteria or I don't know, Brianna can't think about it now, because now she has to be ready if Jane can notice the facial resemblance between Chico and Arthur, because Jane will definitely meet Chico right now.
