One quiet afternoon, Vienna sat cross-legged in her modest room. The small lamp in the corner of the room emitted a soft light, creating an atmosphere full of tranquility. On a small wooden table, there was a sheet of Quran open in the courtyard decorated with exquisite calligraphy.
Vienna stared at the pages of the Quran with great concern. His eyes were focused on verses that contained the wisdom and message of Allah. In recent months, he has been pondering about the meaning of life and its relationship with the almighty creator. He felt that prayer was the bridge that connected him directly with the Creator.
In the silence of his room, he began to speak with God. His voice was soft, like a private conversation between close friends. "O Allah," he said with sincerity, "I feel so grateful for all that You have given me in my life. You have guided me through every trial and obstacle."
As he spoke, his facial expression showed disdain and humility. His hands were raised into the air, as if he felt God present nearby. "I ask Your guidance, O God," he continued in a softened voice, "so that I may live my life according to Your will. Show me the right way."
For a moment, his room was filled with silence. He waited, pervading the moment in deep silence. Vienna felt that her prayers were not just words, but an expression of her sincere heart.
Suddenly, a gentle breeze entered through the open window. Viennese long hair was gently draped by the wind, and he felt the presence of God flowing in that refreshing wind. He felt like there was an answer in his heart, even though it was not in the form of spoken words.
He closed his prayer with a smile and felt closer to God than ever before. Despite the many trials he might face in the future, he felt confident that with this closeness, he would find the strength to overcome them all. Vienna knows that he can talk to God at any time, and He will always listen.
That morning, the sun rose resplendently, radiating its warm rays over the beautiful campus. Vienna had come to the campus park before college began, looking for a moment of serenity amid its bustle. He knew that the garden was the perfect place to reflect and feel close to God's creation.
The park is located in one corner of the campus, surrounded by tall trees that soar into the sky. Vienna chose to sit under a large shady tree, in a place she used to visit when she wanted to reflect. The green leaves trembled gently with a touch of wind, and the birds sang happily in the upper branches.
He closed his eyes for a moment and inhaled the fresh scent of wet soil underneath. His feelings permeated the peace that was around him. As he opened his eyes, his gaze was fixed on the vast horizon before him. This is the perfect time to reflect on the greatness of God and the smallness of himself before Him.
Vienna pondered in silence, letting her mind drift away. He thought of such a huge and complicated universe, the stars that glittered in the sky, and the vast and deep sea. All are proofs of the infinite majesty of God.
Just then, a classmate, Sarah, approached her. "Hi, Vienna" said Sarah softly. "What are you thinking here?"
Vienna smiled and replied, "I am only contemplating the greatness of God, Sarah. As I sit here, I feel so small before Him, but also blessed that He created everything beautifully."
Sarah sat beside Vienna, feeling the calmness in the garden. "I also feel that way sometimes," Sarah said. "Moments like this make us feel so close to God, don't they?"
As the sun rose higher in the sky, Vienna knew that she had to return soon for college. However, he felt full of energy and calmness after the time he had spent in that garden. He knew that he would return there again one day to feel such a deep closeness to God in such moments.
Vienna has felt the importance of giving alms in everyday life. Every opportunity to help others is an opportunity for him to get closer to God and realize the teachings of his religion. He knew that the kindness he gave to others would bring him closer to the Creator.
One day, while he was walking back to the college dorm after college, he saw an old man sitting by the side of the road. The man looked exhausted and hungry, in a seedy outfit. Vienna can't just see it. He approached the man with a warm smile.
"Sir, what can I help you with?" asked Vienna while extending her hand.
The man looked at Vienna with tired eyes, then raised a trembling hand. "I'm very hungry, Ma'am," he said slowly.
Vienna has no doubts. He opened his bag and took out a bottle of mineral water and some snacks that were inside. "Please, take this," Vienna said as she gave it to the man.
The old man smiled sincerely. "Thank you, Ma'am. God bless you."
Vienna is happy to help. He continued his journey with a warm heart, feeling that his little act was a simple but meaningful form of almsgiving. He knows that God sees and appreciates his actions.
Over the past few months, Vienna has also volunteered at an orphanage around the campus. Every weekend, he and a number of his friends would visit the orphanage to spend time with the orphans who lived there. They brought toys, books, and food for the children.
One of the girls at the orphanage, Sarah, became particularly close to Vienna. They often talk and play together. Vienna tried to give the children support and attention, teaching them lessons she learned from her religion.
One day, Sarah approached Vienna with sparkling eyes. "Sir Vienna" he said happily, "I learned the letters in the Quran that Mr. Vienna had brought. I want to know more about our religion."
Vienna was very happy to hear this. He sat down with Sarah and guided her in reading the Quran. They read together and discuss the meaning of each verse they read. Vienna felt that giving religious knowledge to Sarah was one of the most meaningful forms of almsgiving to her.
With every little act he took to help the needy, Vienna felt that he was drawing closer to God. He felt that almsgiving was a real way to practice his religious teachings and feel a closeness to the Creator.
