Fighter Systems
Ch. 3: Believe in Me

...*****...

"I'm home!" After a long day, I finally got home.

He opened the weathered wooden door and slowly entered while circulating his gaze in all directions. Silent, that was just the right word to describe the atmosphere inside this cramped house.

While wiping the sweat that is still scattered, Budi walked straight towards the bathroom. Not paying attention to the road, the man accidentally hit someone.

"Eh?!" The small collision managed to wake Budi from his fatigue.

"It's clay-wild dong!" A girl with long black hair shrieking loudly– berates Budi. Frowning eyebrows and tight lips full of rage. There's no mistake, he's Arin.

Although she is Budi's sister, but in fact, Arin is reluctant to consider Budi as her brother. There are several factors that make him choose that choice. Especially about what happened at school.

The problem that made him upset during this time was because he and his brother–Budi– were sent to the same school. Realizing that their lives clearly contradict, and understanding that the status of Budi in school is not so good, the girls decided to pretend not to know Budi in school.

He would act as if he was just an ordinary underclassman. Although in fact, Arin often feels annoyed because Budi is always enslaved by thugs at school. Until this day arrives. The day that Princess Arina Khanzira made up her mind to save her brother.

"Ah, sorry, hahaha ...." He scratched the back of his head. "Y-yeah, I'm going to take a shower first. Have you eaten?" continue to ask.

"Hem." Arin responded briefly. The girl threw away her face and walked past Budi. It seemed implied that she was still angry at the thought of the incident this morning.

Budi looked at Arin with a strange look. He then turned around and grabbed a blue towel patterned with curved lines typical of his 21st century. The left leg was about to step in, but suddenly Budi's heart was knocked by Arin's words while at school. He suddenly feels guilty for accepting Reza's challenge, given that Arin has denied desperately for her sake.

The man who was originally optimistic thanks to the presence of the Fighter System, was now trapped in a confused situation. He pulled his skinny legs again and daydreamed.

No wonder Arin didn't want to consider him a big brother all this time. Because he always acts stupid.

The thought suddenly appeared. However, when Budi was trapped, suddenly a sound was heard from around.

Ding!

"Eh?" Budi glanced to the side then found a writing on the blue panel. His eyes were puffed up, those futuristic lettering words solved everything. Heartbroken, she smiled as she muttered, "I know what to do now."

Budi turned around, intending to see Arin back. However, when this guy just arrived in the living room, he accidentally hit Arin again. Both are expressing the same. The face of the person who apologized.

"Eh, I-I'm sorry, Rin. I didn't see you ...." Be quick to apologize first so that no further problems occur.

"...." - ".There was no reply from Arin.

The situation is getting worse. Budi can feel it, even though Arin does not speak. He thought that maybe Arin was angry right now.

But, beyond a doubt. "Sorry ...." Arin said an apology. He looked up to look at Budi. "Sorry .. That word you're going to say, right?" Apparently, no.

The deg!

Highlight the cold eyes full of emotions emanated from the stronghold of Arin. The thin lips that had been used as a gossip medium were now tightly closed. Thin natural eyebrows began to cringe. This is the arrangement of Arin's facial expression that had clearly reached the limit of her anger.

In fact, because so scared, to the point of making Budi shudder in horror and swallow. "Ah, maa–eeh, I don't mean that!"

"Ah, yes–"

"Wasting time." A short sentence that reaches Budi's ear and enters sharply.

Arin again ignored Budi and just walked straight.

The more you see Arin, the more your guilt grows. He felt that he had failed to be a good brother.

"It didn't work, did it?" he murmured as he stared at the kitchen. Budi lowered his eyebrows because he was burdened by feelings of disappointment. "free power. Arin was angry with me. If so, how do I stay open?!"

"Ah, tauah. Take a shower." Because reluctant to get caught up in deep thoughts, Budi also decided to take a bath first. He thought, maybe his mind will be fresh after the bath.

Long story short, Budi who had finished bathing also entered his room. While Arin looks still struggling with ingredients and cooking utensils in the kitchen.

This is the life of both of them every day. Since his father died, Budi, Arin, and their mother have lived within limitations. At first, they lived happily like a family in general, despite all the shortcomings. Budi and Arin love each other.

Both grew up without the affection of their parents. Therefore, sometimes Arin is arrogant and always angry with Budi when his wishes cannot be fulfilled. What's more, Arin feels embarrassed every time he sees Budi being the target of bullying.

Like a broken thread. The close bond between the two of them is stretched by time.

Back to Budi. He took some clothes from his wooden closet and wore them as clothes. After that, the man sat on the bed looking at the sentence on the system panel that had not disappeared since.

[Motivation Tips: Be open, be firm on stance. Both attitudes will lead the Host towards a better life]

"Be open? Firm on stance?" Budi put himself on his solid foam mattress. "All that is bullshit. I already hate that phrase, no one will believe me even if I tell the truth."

Budi sighed heavily while staring at the ceiling of the room.

Krieg ...

The door to the room is open. A hand held the doorknob from the outside. Creating a gap between the door and the wooden wicket. Budi rushed up from his crumbling position.

"Evening is ready" said a low voice from outside. Arin tells Budi to go out to dinner soon.

"Yes." Yeah." This skinny man got out of bed to fulfill Arin's call.

The two sat at the dinner table to satisfy hunger. A soupy meal has been served on the pot and two dishes and white rice have also been arranged. The food is always the same every day. Instant boiled noodles.

But Budi did not want to blame him. Because he no longer wants to make matters more complicated. He pulled out a wooden chair and sat there.

At a glance, Budi's eye pupils glanced at Arin. The girl seemed to really ignore Budi and only ate his food.

The atmosphere grew awkward every second. Arin only focused on his food, as well as Budi himself. None of them started the conversation. No, until Budi made up his mind to break the silence.

He stopped eating for a while and started talking. "Arin, earlier I wanted to apologize to you about the incident at school, I know–"

"Don't talk about it anymore." Arin put back his aluminum spoon. He continued, "From tomorrow, I will stay away from you at school. Don't get to know me at school."

Painful words are heard again. "Arin, why do you seem to hate me so much, what am I wrong?!"

"Wrong?" Arin stared intently at both of Budi's eyes. "You know that too, right? Why ask again?" continued.

"The loser receives the challenge of fighting is just as delinquent when it has been defended desperately," said Arin, "I've saved you and don't care about the words of others. This Abis, what do they say later? My friends must have thought that I had another relationship with you."

"My reputation will be ruined if you know if I'm his sister's class brother who every day became a pet dog." Arin still continues to explain, "kalo can not say anything, as if do not bother others."

Budi bowed lethargic when he heard all the uneg-uneg his sister.

"Now the choice is one. Apologize to Reza, or we don't need to know him at all" the girl said, "I'm talking about this because I still think about you. Anywhere, you are my real brother. Don't act bod–"

"You think I can beat Reza, you're gonna take me as your sister?" Talk with your head down.

The sentence made both of Arin's eyebrows frown. "Whatchu mean? Don't tell me you want–"

"Yes, I'm going to fight Reza" he said, "I'm sorry I got you involved. But, I promise, tomorrow, I'll go back to everything."

Brak!

Arin kicked the table with all his might. His breathing snorted, his teeth grinding. "Don't fuck! If you get beat up and battered with him how?!"

"...."

Draw a slanted smile. "Believe me. I'll win."

Arin looked at Budi who was expressionless as if everything would be fine.

"Yeah yuk, eat first. I'm laper." Yeah." At the same time, Budi shifted the topic of conversation. Trying to lower Arin's emotions while melting the atmosphere.
