Ch. 22: Accepted Work and New Enemies?

After the fierce fight yesterday ended, Budi's reputation in school increased. He is slowly becoming a great person. Accompanied by Raya who also accepts life changes.

His friends no longer dared to speak harshly to him anymore. Making a thin smile again etched on his lips.

Meanwhile, in front of the restaurant on the road of roses. Budi stood while staring at the building with a dominant style the previous time with a blank look. Because, today is the day where Ran will introduce him to the Boss.

Ran nodded spontaneously while smiling. "Yes, Boss. His name is Budi, he's a deft man. So, he could work faster than the others!" the girl yelled exaggeratingly so that her boss would accept the person she recommended.

While Budi, speechless with a depressed smile.

After hearing Ran's explanation, the boss then closed his mouth for a moment. He lifted his cigarette while sucking it slowly. The white smoke instantly covered his face.

"Hayn ...." He got rid of cigarette ash on the ashtray. "It's not that I don't trust your people, Ran. Just ... Look at this kid!" He looked at Budi.

Ran's gaze was immediately attracted to him as well.

"What can be expected of his rich flattened son? I was skinny, not very cute. He will have trouble working in the kitchen. And well, he obviously can't be the one guarding the cashier." The man continued, "sorry, but there's no place for this young man."

"Yes, Bud. You can start working at this restaurant! Tomorrow, I will teach you how to be a true servant" said Ran enthusiastically.

"Y-yes!" Budi also returned with an enthusiastic shout.

That day, Budi managed to achieve his second life goal.

But will his life be okay?

From a distance, a man wearing a black jacket appeared to be leaning against one of the pillars of the building. A few minutes ago, he seemed to be standing there alone. While smoking cigarette smoke, he smiled.
