ELLA AND MICHAEL

ELLA AND MICHAEL
All Mothers are sinners, Son!

Jane's mother brought the cassava, and sat down with the two of them.

“Gosh. All mothers are sinners, son.”

“Even if you are, try to understand your mother.”

Jane's mother started picking up a few pieces of cassava and gave them to Michael.

“What do you think is easy raising a child without a husband? Gosh darn. Raising a daughter alone makes me want to escape.”

“Despite that. Mom's great. She can raise her two sons, without a husband. Plus the unusual circumstances of Marco.”

Michael was silent and thought of Jane's mother's words. Come to think of it, Mother Jane's words have a point, too.

“You must know because you have felt life as your sister's guardian. Imagine how difficult your mother is.”

Jane's mother took a beer bottle and lifted it up.

“Oii! Let's toast. Inu for you up there.”

Jane's mother lowered her hand and drank the beer. Jim and Michael were drinking, too.

Michael also began to eat pieces of cassava, to hold it so as not to cry.

After finishing all the bottles of beer and cassava, Michael rushed back to the castle.

Jim, who could not bear to see Michael half-drunk, ordered a taxi for him.

In the taxi, Michael checked his cell phone.

A lot of messages came in from Ella that she couldn't see. Half-embraced, Michael reads a message from Ella.

“You where?”

“When to go home?”

“Report home. I'm bored.”

“Why did you ignore my message? You want to die?”

Michael just smiled and replied,

“Wait.”

***

When Michael arrived at the castle, he opened the castle door and saw Ella sleeping on the stairs.

Staggering, Michael walked over to Ella, who was asleep, and sat down next to her.

Michael nudged Ella's shoulder with his hand, so that she would wake up.

When Ella woke up, she was angry with Michael.

“Why did you just come home? Where have you been?”

“Why are you sleeping here? It's very cold.”

“You told me to wait. Shit!” said Ella who was upset.

“You drink liquor? With who? That hypocritical woman?”

Ella suspects Michael, as she smells the liquor.

“You met a friend of cyberspace?” ask Ella.

“The friend of cyberspace? Whatchu mean? Hahahaha.”

Michael laughed as Ella asked.

“Are you drunk?”

“I was drunk, but the taxi driver did not want to deliver at night, because his house was haunted and brought bad luck.”

“He dropped me off halfway. Then after walking, I'm not drunk.”

Michael was also getting stuck with his words.

“Then, let's have a drink with me.”

Ella stood up and would grab a beer in her fridge.

“No need. This is enough. I'm not strong anymore.”

Michael pulled Ella's hand back to sit down.

“I'd really like to drink.”

“Tak. You can't drink. You still can't help yourself.”

“If we both get drunk it will be very dangerous.”

Michael advised Ella.

“Why? You're afraid I'll attack you?”

*SUK!

“Aduh!!!”

Michael flicked Ella's forehead with his finger, causing Ella to be in pain.

“Do not be silly. You can't win against me. Hahaha.”

“Sials. You just hit me?” said Ella who was holding her forehead in pain.

“Sssstt. You yourself stabbed me with a knife.”

“Gosh. You're good at arguing when you're drunk.”

They both laughed on the stairs.

“I want to take off your safety lever,” Ella said.

“Close your eyes, Ella.”

“Why?”

“Already. Just do it.”

“Hmm. I'm no stranger to this situation.”

Ella closed her eyes and turned her lips around, hoping that Michael would kiss her there.
