Louis Armittige was sitting there checking the files of his assistant Inspector Tony Helmest.
"It's impossible."
Inspector Helmest said
"But it's all right sir. "
He continued
"We've checked all of them. There were only ten bodies there. And no more rags."
Police Commissioner Armittige said in an angry tone.
"Surely someone killed them all. There's no way they're all suicides.?"
"That's the problem, sir."
"Is the autopsy report from the forensics department already out ?"
Inspector Helmest took out the letter he had just received from forensics. She said
" Helen Greece died of drowning. Victoria Barrent was shot in the heart. Dave Hudson was shot in the heart. Ian Castella died of cyanide poisoning. And Andy Hart as well. Gladys Brown died of an overdose of sleeping pills. Rebbeca Cluster hanged herself. Harry Morris died because his heart was stabbed with a knife. Private detective Richard Freddy Fraster died because his head was hit with a blunt object as well as Adam Brown."
Police Commissioner Armittige was upset. She said
"What's really going on?"
He thought for a moment and turned to Inspector Helmest. She asked
"Have you got any information about them in the village ?"
Inspector Helmest sighed. She said
"They're just regular fishermen. All they knew was that the island and the villa had been bought by someone named Smith. "
"Who sent food supplies there?"
"A fisherman charges. He was the one who brought the guests to the island. We also got information about someone named Steven Wong."
"Who is he?"
Inspector Helmest read again the report he held. She said
"He was the one who arranged the equipment in the villa. "
"You've interrogated him ?"
"Sorry sir that's impossible. "
The commissioner squinted his eyes and asked in surprise.
"Why?"
"For he is dead sir."
Police commissioner Armittige said
"What do you know about him?"
Inspector Helmest said
