Eating the devil's fruit

Blaize was thinking, and a demonic fruit appeared in his hand. It had a golden stem and an appearance similar to dragon fruit.

The color is dark orange with a dark red ornate circle covering the entire fruit.

Looking at it closely, it seemed like the entire fruit was burning. Just holding it in the palm alone, Blaize felt the fiery power that was within.

Good or bad, he'll eat it.

The ability of the fruit determines how strong he is in the future.

Opening his mouth, he took a big bite and swallowed it whole; trying his best to ignore the taste. But, he still felt an uneasy taste on his tongue.

"It really feels like shit!"

Fortunately, he did not have to eat the whole fruit. The remaining part of the fruit miraculously disappeared and entered his body.

The next second, his entire body turned as red as it boiled. White steam radiated from his skin under the extreme heat, while everything within 1 meter began to melt.

A dazzling golden light emanated from his body and Blaize felt his body temperature continue to rise without showing any signs of stopping.

"Stop...Stop over...Stop that!"

After a minute of fighting with himself, Blaize controlled the temperature in his body. 'I better learn to control this power quickly so as not to burn others to dry.

After experimenting with his devil fruit abilities for another hour, he gained a general idea of his strength. Although he ate Sun-sun fruit, his body was not strong enough to bring out the full potential of that fruit.

With his current strength, he could only control and manipulate extreme heat.

Now, its capabilities are similar to the Hot-Hot fruit of Don Accino, or the Hot-Hot fruit of charlotte oven.

It can perform heat-based attacks at varying temperatures.

Furthermore, he was immune to all kinds of heat including fire, lava, and so on.

Although he could not bring out the full power of the demon fruit, he was very happy with his current progress. He had an idea of how he should develop his fruit ability in the future.

The Sun Fruit is not as simple as manipulating heat and fire. It is the source of everything. For example manipulation of solar energy, solar explosions, manipulation of gravity, and so on.

The devil appears on the interface panel. Unlike developing himself, with the system, he would more easily understand all the abilities of the fruit.

After crossing the '5' bar boundary, he felt a clear change in his body.

His control over the demon fruit increased, as did his ability to manipulate heat.After an entire night of experimenting, he was able to control the heat in his body without any difficulty.

The Marines behind Maynard looked at each other in confusion. Other than the dead, the other pirates were still sleeping without a care in the world, this was the first time they had faced such a strange situation.

"Why are they still sleeping, they don't even put us, the marines, in their eyes?"

"Stupid! I think they got hit by something.

Otherwise, no sane pirate would have slept before Captain Maynard arrived"

Meanwhile, Maynard glanced around and saw Durd's severed head and lifeless 'Barb' with a pierced heart. He didn't expect to find them dead.

He also noticed Blaize and an idea formed in his head.

"Blaize.a nice name. Did you do this?"

"Yes"

Although Blaize admits it, Maynard and the other marines find it hard to believe. An unidentified child of about 14-15 takes on two fugitives who have nearly 50 Million gifts combined? This was unheard of before.

"I can't believe he killed 'Durd' with his skinny arm!" A marine commented.

"Really! I think he's trying to get the prize amount by claiming their deaths."

"Why did you do it?" ask

Maynards.

He doesn't bother asking questions, how do you do it? because it's not important to him. What matters is 'why?.

"They killed my parents, forced me to work on their pirate ship for several months, and sold me as a slave" Blaize said.

Since he planned to join the Marines, he did not hide anything.

Even if he did, the marines would find out the truth sooner or later with their intelligence network.

Maynard nodded in understanding, he did not ask another question. This sort of thing was quite common to him. In fact, half of the marines in the world are harmed by pirates in some way or another.

Maynard then ordered

Lower-ranking Marines to clear the area and capture the beaten pirates.

Within minutes, the marines transferred the purring pirates to the battleship and destroyed the pirate ship Redscraf by burning the entire ship along with Durd, Barb, and three dead pirate corpses.

"Are you interested in joining the Marines?" Maynard who took care of the other things behind him came to Blaize and asked.

"Yes!" Blaize agrees.

"Good! Come with us!" Maynard considered how the battle went and that was what intrigued him. Blaize's strength and intelligence attracted his interest.
