The Near Death Experience

Zephyr's instructor arrived at the scene in a minute but waited patiently without interrupting. He wanted to see how Blaize would fight an opponent stronger than him.

As his instructor, he needed to discover the extent of his fruit abilities so that he could help Blaize better in the future. It would also give him an idea, in which direction the devil fruit could be developed.

Four-armed apes and Blaize clashed.

The fiery red dagger attempted to cut the inside of the creature but the ape's defense was too good, or rather, Blaize's dagger skills were not so formidable.

Otherwise, with a flaming dagger, he could easily cut through the formidable Ape defense. But his attack only left a burning and shallow cut on his skin.

Blaize's heat sense captures every minute detail the ape makes and conveys it to his brain. But against overwhelming force, all plans are just tricks of the living room.

One of the four-armed ape's arms caught Blaize from the ground and raised him like a chicken. His electric blue eyes looked at his eyes and with a quick twist, it threw him across the forest.

Blaize turned into a shooting star, and before throwing it, the ape's arm also squeezed his body.

That devastating power left his skin cracking and damaging his internal organs.

His back hit countless trees and destroyed everything in its path. Blood dyed his entire body while several sharp branches pierced through his skin.

Zephyr appeared next to Blaize and caught his sorry figure. He can save her before the monkey can attack, but he wants the monkey to remember his near-death experience.

Still, the ape shouldn't have hurt his disciple. It's over his limit. Zephyr looked at Blaize who had lost his consciousness after he caught him and then at the four-armed Ape.

The ape that was chewing on the roast meat happily suddenly shivered, as if it was being watched by a powerful predator. Turning its head, it scanned the surroundings and saw Zephyr carrying Blaize in one hand.

Releasing a threatening fake roar, Ape took a step back recalling the painful memories he had once experienced.

"Thooky!" Zephyr uttered a cold word, but his tone pressed down on the Ape with a pressing pressure, scaring him to the core.

Whimpering, the ape rushed away and disappeared into the shadows of the forest.

When Blaize opened his eyes again, he lay on the hospital bed, and to his surprise, he was wrapped up like a mummy.

Fortunately, they left her face naked.

'Hufftt, I was transferred back to the training island'

When he tried to move, a piercing pain spread throughout his body. Even so, it was somewhat bearable for him. He lost his consciousness only after the Zephyr Instructor caught him and he remembered everything clearly.

"..the damn ape. I'll beat him up when we meet again."

Blaize silently muttered.

Tearing the bandage in his hand using his mouth, he then removed it from his feet. What he needed most now was, not rest but meat.

Dragging his injured body out of the hospital, Blaize then moved towards the cooking area. The air outside was very fresh and from the sunlight that directly hit his face, he knew it was now around breakfast time.

On the way, the recruits and other officers observed him with strange expressions due to his mummified appearance.

Without hesitation, he walked forward.

Along the way, he checked the system interface in his mind. He remembered the notice and wanted to check what it was about.

There was a change in his attributes, a joyous thing.

'A rich gift!' Blaize silently thought and accepted it. Even though he was severely injured, he felt a force flowing all over his body.

He broke bar 15' which blocked him for a month.

The nice thing is, he's breaking his own limits.

He didn't expect the system to let go of last minute tasks. Now, he could raise his attributes once more.

After collecting the reward, his attributes changed.

Checking on his attributes, Blaize unknowingly reaches the cafeteria where he meets other trainees from the same class: Gion, Vergo, Shuzo, and others.

"Blaize, when did you wake up? You're unconscious all day, you know.

Are you all right?" Gion asked in a worried tone.

"Yes I'm fine" Blaize replied, taking a seat in their group.

"I heard you met with so-called golden beasts that could even terrorize Rear Admiral. Why am I not so lucky?" comment Shuzo.

Blaize could only shake his head at his comments.

"It's good you're okay. You have to taste the wild bear meat and seafood fried rice, delicious. Strange, where's the fried rice?" Vergo.

"Vergo, no fried rice today."

A marine trainee applauded. "Yes that's right:" Vergo nodded, without embarrassment.

"Vergo, why is there a fork tied to your cheek?" Blaize asked, attracted by Vergo's rare moment of not knowing anything.

"Where?" Vergo continued to eat his food with a flat face while everyone laughed.

"How are you doing in the three-day survival training?" ask Blaise.

"In addition to Vergo and Shuzo, none of us crossed the three-day mark. I thought you would easily pass through it but did not expect you would encounter a Type A creature.

You can only blame your luck!"

"Don't worry. I got a lot of things from fighting that thing." Blaize comforted himself.

It is regrettable that he missed the opportunity to study Rokushiki but he could not stop the inevitable.

After a satisfying breakfast, bidding farewell to Gion and the others, he went to see the Zephyr Instructor.

First, he wanted to personally thank her for saving him in time, and secondly, he needed to ask what alternative way to study Marine was

Rokushiki because he failed to hold on for three days.
