DON'T GIVE UP

DON'T GIVE UP
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL NIGHT

I went to the door and opened the door and it turned out she was okta safira.

"Assalamualaikum zal." Greetings when I open the door.

I was confused and there was a sense of pleasure to see Ayu was visiting the house.

"Wa'alaikum salam" I replied.

"Wa'alaikum salam,eh there is a friend afrizal ya", my mother immediately approached ayu who was still in front of the house. "Let's go in and sit down" she continued, "yes ma'am" ayu went inside sitting in our wooden chair in the living room of our house.

"I'm sorry the chair is rich in gini hehe" Afrizal tried to find the topic of conversation," yes gapapa kok zal" he replied with a smile. I am not strong with her smile and then close my face because I blushed embarrassed to see her beautiful smile until my chest felt pounding .

"What's zal?" He asked astonished at my strange behavior for suddenly closing my face as ayu spoke to me. "Ah gapapa kok yu." I said as I opened my hand because I had lost my shame.

I finally asked him about his return to this village. I just heard her dad was going to buy a house across the street from her school.

"Don't you know?" He was astonished because I asked him the same question.

"Oh yeah, I'm the same my parents will be staying here again." He continued to happily explain it to me, "to.. return to live here?" My toot.

"yes, yeah, because my father was told to run an orphanage or rather to build an orphanage in the village by his boss to help abandoned and orphaned children so that was when we met again on the street earlier actually it is not want to buy a house but want to buy an orphanage that is no longer operating. I'm sorry I talked too much hehe."

"It's okay, so your dad wants to open an orphanage here?? Whoa I pray will hopefully be able to operate forever until you later" hearing the explanation from ayu I immediately felt admiration for his father.

From behind my mother was carrying drinks towards us. "Sorry yes de, this is just plain water" while putting a glass filled with water, "do not bother mom, I'm just for a moment" he replied. I see ayu is now more mature than ever even though we are the same age but I deeply contemplate this remembering that I always still trouble my mother.

"Mother ike is healthy?" Ask my mother.

"Thank God be healthy son" answered my mother in confusion as the boy called his name.

"Why are you confused? This is ayu okta who was once our neighbor. He's just back here now" I said because I saw my mother was confused.

"Well her son's a great-grandson's mother?" Mom asked me back too. "Yes" I replied to my mother, hearing that my mother immediately saw ayu and said, "you are now beautiful yes son after 5 years did not meet hehe" my mother praised for the beauty of ayu, "Let's love ya ma'am, ma'am,mom is beautiful too" she replied with a smile.

"You can kid, I'm going out to buy you a snack" mom rushed out of the house to the stall leaving us both in the living room.

We both just kept quiet and looked at each other. "Ah..so what is yu?" Finally I ventured to open the conversation, this was the first time I had a conversation with someone else after all this time no one wanted to chat with me.

"I'm here to take you for a walk tonight, k....can you not?" Ayu replied with a little groggy somehow we are different from the one on the road earlier.

When I was about to answer a question from ayu it turned out that my mother from the stall had come home and immediately put a snack in front of us.

"Please nak ayu, please eat" mother invited ayu to eat the snacks she bought.

"Ahh yes ma'am, thank you ma'am" he replied.

"Mom will go back first" she said to the two of us who were sitting in the living room. When the mother was walking to the back of ayu directly asked her back about earlier, this time the book was like very happy because there might still be a guest at this house.

I said, "Yes, but where?" because I don't know where I want to go.

"We went to the night market" he replied. "Then on the way here I saw a night market, how?if yes, then we will go there" he continued.

"Ahh well, but do not stay late tomorrow I have to go to school" I said because I heard the words ayu was immediately happy and smiled widely with sweetness.

"Then I go home first yes zal, I want to settle first at grandfather's house." At once ayu immediately say goodbye to me yes maybe because she just arrived here immediately visited the house.

"Mother ike, I'm saying yes" ayu called the mother who was washing clothes in the bathroom.

Mother hurriedly left her laundry and immediately approached the ayu who was ready to go home. "Oh yes, son, be careful" said the mother, "Oh yes, I forgot to kiss the mother's hand." ayu now changed from what used to like to disappear instantly somewhere but now he said goodbye politely.

"Assalamualaikum, later on do not forget yes zal" he said to remind me of the promise I made to him.

"Wa'alaikum salam yu, God willing I will not forget" I said firmly and convinced ayu to believe it.

Ayu smiled at me and then she went home alone without having to be delivered by me to her grandfather's house, I feel disappointed because in my mind only way to have ayu. But I was just standing at the door looking at ayu who was walking away from my house.

And finally, the night came. After performing the prayer at the mosque I immediately rushed home and changed clothes because I did not want the ayu wait long and so that coming home from the night market was not too late.

As I was changing into my room, I heard knocking on the door from the outside.

Tok.dok...

"Assalamualaikum" he said as he knocked on the door.

I finished changing my clothes and was ready to go for a walk with my old friend who had returned.I opened the door and answered his greetings.

"Wa'alaikum salam" how surprised I was when I saw ayu who dandan beautifully wrapped in a pink hijab that covers her head and white clothes in a blue jacket and wearing long pants that make anyone see it must be immediately wrong the behavior of him and also his heart pounding as fast as I felt.

"Ah sorry yes zal, I just got it" he said gently which made my cheeks turn red instantly because the ayu. I also shook my head not to keep staring at ayu.

"Ah I also just prepared kok yu" he replied.

I continued my words, "Let's go to the night market." But ayu instead stopped afrizal from his steps and said, "we say goodbye to your mother".

"Lady..." His greeting while waiting for the arrival of my mother from inside the house. Finally, my mother walked towards us. "Do you want to walk?" Ask us,"yes nih ma'am, I'm the same izal road first ya ma'am. Assalamualaikum" ayu kissed my mother's hand. "Mom, we go first ma'am!" said Afrizal while kissing his mother's hand, "yes son, be careful on the way yes" he replied while stroking his hair.

"Assalamualaikum ma'am." Greet me with ayu while stepping away from my mother at home.

"Wa'alaikum greetings." reply mother.

We both walked away from home to the night market in the opposite village. We stopped at a stop waiting for public transport to go to the next village.
