Doctor of Love Specialist Heart
Empty And Hamp

Devan glanced at the clock hanging in his room. It's almost eleven o'clock in the afternoon, but there's no sign of Jesslyn coming yet. Usually, the girl comes to bring him lunch, or just cook him.

Empty and empty, that's what Devan felt when the Girl wasn't around. He tried to contact the house, and the maid there said that the girl had gone with her friend.

And somehow Devan felt something uncomfortable with his feelings when he heard Jesslyn go with another man. Clearly there was nothing between them.

And shouldn't Devan be happy that the girl isn't picking up her life anymore. But what he felt was just the opposite, Devan actually felt there was less since Jesslyn no longer interrupted his days.

"Finally you came too, why so long?!" chirps Devan after hearing the sound of the door of his room being opened from outside.

"Sorry, Doctor Zhang," a nurse startled after hearing what Devan had just said.

Sontak Devan turned his head and he sighed. She thought it was Jesslyn, but it wasn't."Oh, you turned out. What's up?" Devan glanced at the nurse, and refocused on her patient data.

"Sorry, Doctor. Are you waiting for someone?" instead of answering Devan's question, the nurse asked. But there was no answer from the handsome doctor.

Then the nurse submitted a document containing the data of patients who will undergo surgery. At least five patients will have to undergo surgery over the next week.

"Doctor, these are the patient data you requested."

"Just put it on the table, and you can go!!" after putting the documents on Devan's desk, the nurse walked out.

Devan sighed for the umpteenth time. Immediately he closed his eyes for a moment as the uncomfortable feeling re-interrupted his mind. Such a disturbing feeling when Jesslyn's shadow that she could not prevent appeared in her mind.

A breath that evaporated like smoke came out when both of his lips opened. The handsome doctor then got out of his chair and walked towards the glass wall behind his desk. Devan leaned back while holding his chest.

Devan was staring at the streets crowded by the sea of people. The streets are almost never quiet by the sound of human feet moving back and forth, the sound of car horns and the sound of buses that every 10 minutes stop right at the bus stop is also not absent including the noise of the city of Seoul every day.

This is summer, some people may be taking a walk to enjoy vacation time, with family or with close relatives. Seematan Devan beaches in Korea are no less beautiful than other countries, always a prima donna of Korean residents and foreign tourists to spend their vacation time.

So far there is nothing interesting in his eyes, everything looks mediocre, because such a scene he always sees every day when he has free time, both night and day.

And until finally Devan saw a girl whose face was very familiar entered a shopping center that was opposite the hospital where he worked. And the girl was not alone, she was with a man.

Seeing the two of them so close made Devan feel annoyed and uncomfortable. "Can he have fun with other men and ignore me?!" he said half grumbling.

That girl is none other than Jesslyn. While the man who was with him was Peter, Jesslyn's friend who had just come from abroad.

A message that went into his phone caught his attention. Devan took the thin, fantastical item out of his pants pocket, and found his grandfather's number on his brightly lit phone screen.

"Devan, don't come home late tonight. Jesslyn wants to celebrate her friend's birthday. And he wants us all together for dinner,"

Devan grieves bitterly. Instead of replying to the short message, he turned off his phone instead. Rather than him having to attend an event that he thought was unimportant like that it was better to overtime in the hospital. Because it's more useful.

Indeed there is no massive celebration, let alone a festive party with hundreds of invited guests. It was just dinner with the Zhang family, and Jesslyn had also asked Grandpa Zhang to contact Devan so that he would come home earlier today. But until now he has not come home.

Jesslyn approached Grandpa Zhang to ask Devan. "Grandfather, have you called, Devan? Why hasn't he come home yet?"

"Grandfather, himself does not know. Grandpa, just now, sent a short message to her and asked her to come home early. It's been read but not answered, and when grandfather tried to call his phone number. But the phone is not active" Grandpa Zhang explained.

Jesslyn let out a long breath. "He really sucks!! Then let me just call him myself. Grandpa, give me her cell phone number" Jesslyn pinta. Jesslyn does not have Devan's phone number.

Then Grandpa Zhang gave Devan's cell phone number to Jesslyn."Hows it? Can I be contacted?" Jesslyn shook her head. "Tuh, right. Grandpa, tell me what. Her phone can't be reached, it looks like she turned it off on purpose."

"Yes, already. Its alright. We can still celebrate Peter's birthday without him." Jesslyn let out a disappointed breath. He had expected it if Devan couldn't possibly come.

"You're not coming home?"

Devan turned his head after hearing someone's reprimand from behind. Sean walked up to him. Sean brought two cups of coffee, one of which he gave to Devan.

"I took overtime tonight" Devan took the coffee from Sean's hand and sipped it a little.

"But there's no scheduled overtime tonight, aren't you tired of having two major operations today?"

"Hn, uh,"

Sean snorted. He instantly lost his words after Devan took out his flagship pearl words. And the word 'Hn' seems to be a signal if he doesn't want to talk anymore. Only certain people understand this ambiguous word.

"Alright then, it's up to you. I go first," Sean patted Devan on the shoulder and then moved on and left Devan alone in his study.

Tonight is not Devan's schedule for overtime. But he deliberately took the ration of overtime because he was lazy to go home, especially just to celebrate the birthday of someone who he thought was not important at all, moreover he was a stranger to have a bond at all with his family.
