Dispute of the Heart (CALYA)

Dispute of the Heart (CALYA)
For the sake of Happiness

The expanse of sea water along with the waves ripples looked so beautiful this morning. The wind was refreshing, removing the sweat of anyone who was in the park that was only limited by the embankment with the sea.

Some wheelbarrow merchants who sell food and drinks already appear to be lined up peddling their merchandise. A few people were seen in the park. Some have just exercised in the morning, or some deliberately come to enjoy a snack or breakfast sold there.

Calya sat on a garden chair facing towards the sea. His gaze far looked at every whirring of the waves, perhaps hoping that the ripples of the waves could roll up his nails and take him far away.

Since dawn, Calya has been awake. After performing her morning prayers, she kept looking at the phone screen, she was still waiting for news from her husband. But boredom made him throw the device then he passed out of the door of his house. Calya walked down every street that took her to the park now.

"Have breakfast first, don't be dumb. It's still early morning." A voice suddenly appeared from behind him. Calya turned her head to the side, a hand carrying a bowl of green bean porridge appeared in her sight. Soon his full figure appeared.

"You?"

"Yes, me! Eat this porridge first. You passed out yesterday, surely due to malnutrition, this porridge is good for adding blood." Praba placed the bowl of porridge in the hands of Calya who was resting on her thigh. I don't want Calyapun to take that bowl.

Praba passed and momentarily returned with another bowl of porridge. He sat down next to Calya.

""Let's eat, mumpung is still hot, why even seen anyway?" Praba said as he started scooping and eating his porridge.

"Why are you here?"

"Yes, geez! It's a public place, anyone can come here. Weird..." Praba replied while continuing to eat his porridge.

Calya just scrunched her forehead. I don't know why that guy feels like he's always been overshadowing his existence. Not at home, not on the street, this man was always suddenly present to blur his imagination.

"Ehhh, even more dumb. Come on dong at the meal, you need breakfast to heal quickly." Praba grabs the spoon in Calya's bowl and scoops the porridge and feeds it to Calya.

Calya looked at Praba who was reciprocated with a nod from Praba. Slowly Calya opened her lip valve and let the spoon filled with porridge into her mouth.

"That's dong. Next eat by yourself. Shame on seeing people." Praba then continued to enjoy his own green bean porridge.

Praba continued to eat while enjoying the view before him. A small smile fell on her lips. At least he had made sure Calya had breakfast and was fine.

At dawn, Praba intended to exercise in his yard. But when he saw Calya coming out and continued to walk away from his yard, Praba rushed to follow him. I don't know, this shouldn't have to be done. But there is a feeling of care and a desire to always keep Calya that makes her do that.

Two motorcycle taxi stopped in front of the official house. Calya and Praba got off each bike. Praba then reached into his pocket, taking out two pieces of five thousand that were handed over to each driver of the ojek, which then passed away. Praba knows Calya didn't bring any money when she left her house earlier.

"Thank you, yeah." Calya said to Praba.

"okay."

"Hm.. I'm going in first." Calya turned her body towards the door of her house.

"Eh... Wait!"

Calya turned back to Praba.

"What's wrong?"

"If you need anything just tell me, call me at that number last night. You don't go alone anymore."

"Hmmm..." Calya nodded her head then turned back towards the door of her house.

However, just before opening the door of her house, Calya turned back to Praba.

"Wait..."

Praba who was walking towards his house stopped and turned to Calya.

"What's wrong?"

"Hm... Since when do we call each other and you?"

Praba was silent for a moment. He is confused too. Me and you? As if they were familiar. A moment later he looked back at Calya.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry Miss Dirga."

"Oh.iya. Sorry too Mr. Praba."

The two of them smiled at each other, but before long the smile became a laugh. They laugh at the same time.

"Come on, Miss Dirga, get some rest."

Calya nodded her head, then opened the door of the house and entered it and she headed into her bedroom. He stared at the device that was on his bed, then grabbed and opened it.

"Oh my God, Dirga. He called many times."

Soon Calya clicks the call button. He called Dirga.

"Hello. Dear... Where are you from? Why wasn't my phone picked up?" Dirga's voice raised a call from Calya.

"Ga.sorry, I'm sorry honey... I was out for the morning walk, I forgot to bring my phone. Since last night I've been waiting for your news. So you're home today, right?"

"Sorry baby, I just got to call you. This morning Haira and I were married."

"Hm... What then? He's going to have surgery, right? So today you are going home, right?"

"Yes Cal, Haira has already entered the operating room. But..."

"But what is Ga?"

"Haira asked me to wait until the operation was over. I'm her husband now, so she wants me there when she regains consciousness."

"Husband... Then, what about me Ga? I need my husband, too." Calya seemed unable to hold back her sadness now.

"Caly... Dear... Please, don't cry. I can't hear you crying anymore. Pleases... I'll be right back after Haira's surgery is over."

"Do I have to make you promise again?"

"Dear, I promise. I love you, Calya, now and whenever."

"I love you too Dirga. Please, come back soon."

"Definitely Dear."

The door to the operating room finally opened. A few doctors and nurses came out of it.

"Dok, how's Haira doing?" Broto immediately stood up and approached them.

"The operation went well, now it's just waiting for the patient to wake up. The condition's stable." The most senior-looking doctor answered Mr. Broto's question.

"Thank God, thank you Doc."

"Suster, about when did Haira wake up?" Mr. Broto asked the group of nurses who had just come out of Haira's room.

"About two to three hours, sir. After Miss Haira regains consciousness, please contact the nurse so we can check on her condition."

"Good, Sus. Thank you." Thank you."

The nurses passed. Broto and his wife Mirna rushed into Haira's room, while Dirga waited in front of her. He threw his body into a chair and squeezed his hair. His head felt dizzy, he still could not figure out why all this had to happen to him.

Starting from a little curiosity about his former lover, now Dirga must fight with his heart, with his mind, with the pettiness of his household. Three hours passed. Dirga was still sitting, closing her eyes while resting her head on the back of the chair as Mirna approached her.

"Mas... Dirga, Brother Haira is conscious."

Dirga opened his eyes.

"Oh. Really true?"

Mirna nodded. Dirga immediately stood up and walked into Haira's room. Mirna followed behind him.

"Theirga..." Haira's voice called out to Dirga.

"Yes, Ra. I'm right here." Dirga is now standing next to Haira's bed.

"You don't go, Ga."

"I'm still here Ra."

"And never leave."

"Ma... Mean you?"

"Never stay with me again, Ga."

Dirga turned to Mirna. "Mir, you'd better tell the nurse that Haira's awake to get checked out. Looks like Haira's still under the influence of drugs."

"Had it, Mirna had already pushed the nurse's call button. Maybe they're still calling the doctor back here."

A doctor and two nurses entered the room.

"Excuse me Mother, we want to check the patient's condition. Please wait outside first." Said a nurse. They all came out following the order.

Soon the doctor and two nurses came out.

"How's Doc?" Sergey Pak Broto.

"Patients are conscious but not fully aware. Now let him rest first. The nurse would monitor him every hour. And Mothers all need rest. I suggest that Mr. Mother rest first at home, tomorrow morning can come back again to see the patient. God willing tomorrow morning the patient's condition will be better."

"Good, Doc. Thank you." Thank you."

The doctor and the two nurses passed.

"Son, Dirga, let's go home for a break. You must be tired."

"No, Om let me just go to the inn."

"Well, why go to the inn? Now it's Dirga Om's son-in-law. Here Om has a house, why would Nak Dirga stay at the inn?"

"Baa.. All right, Om."

"Once dong Nak Dirga, now can not hesitate anymore. Mirna, you stay here, accompany your sister. If there's anything, call Papa immediately."

"Yes Pa."

Mr. Broto with his wife and Dirga passed away from the hospital to the residence of Mr. Broto.

Tonight at Mr. Broto's house in Jakarta, Mr. Broto, Bu Broto and Dirga were in the dining room. Ms. Broto had finished cleaning the dishes and the glasses from last night's dinner. He now sits in a chair facing Dirga. Broto is between the two.

"Son Dirga..."

"Yes, Om."

"Om has another request to Dirga."

"Request?" Dirga sighed. I don't know why he was fed up with that word. Requests. Now he is just waiting for what else Mr. Broto and his family will ask him.

"Yes, Son. Nak Dirga knows, Om really wants to make Haira happy at this time. We never know how long Haira will last after this operation. Om wants to give a gift to Haira if she's been let out of the hospital."

"Gift? Then what does that have to do with me, Om?'

"Hm... Wait for Nak Dirga, there seems to be something odd. Our relationship now is not in-law and daughter-in-law, why still use the call om huh? Haha... Now Nak Dirga must get used to calling Papa. Okay?"

Dirga returned to sigh. Was the request that Mr Broto was asking to call him Papa? Ah already what is on Dirga's mind at this time is to immediately end the conversation at this dining table. Dirga wanted to go into her room immediately and call Calya.

"Yes... Om, uh Pa."

Smiling, Broto continued his words. "Yes so dong. All right now Papa continue again. The connection between the gift for Haira with you is certainly there because you will be a part of that gift."

Dirga scrunched his forehead. He was confused by Mr. Broto's words.

"Papa wants to hold a wedding reception for you. And after that Papa will give you a honeymoon travel package. Haira will definitely be very happy."

Dirga gasped to hear Mr. Broto's words. Like being struck by lightning, Dirga remained silent. What else is this? A present for Haira? Happiness for Haira? But, did they not think that Dirga was not a single man when marrying their daughter? Did they forget their promise at the beginning that the marriage was just so Haira would be operated on? Then why after that unceasingly did they make a request? Again and again!

"Please Son Dirga. Mama asked for help again. Help us give happiness to Haira in the rest of her time."

This time it was Broto who said to Dirga.

Dirga turned his gaze to Bu Broto, his mother-in-law now. He recalled the incident that day when the woman met his wife Calya. Didn't he promise Calya? Tiredness raged in Dirga's mind. If he agreed to their request this time, what would happen to Calya? Dirga doesn't want to hurt Calya any deeper.

"Sorry, Pa, Ma. I can't." Dirga bowed limp.

"Oh... No. gabe. Hukkkkkk. Hukkkkos.." Bu Broto's body was shaken by the sobs now.

"Ma, just calm down." Broto persuaded his wife to stop crying.

"Sir Dirga please think back. Help us once more. Let Haira be happy. His life journey has been filled with tears. After separating from Nak Dirga, Haira was married, but her marriage did not last long. Shortly after that, he was sick. He had just felt happiness after getting married to Nak Dirga, but however Haira had a dream marriage, not just legal to be husband and wife. Let Haira be a queen in her dream wedding reception. Marrying you was her best dream. After that beautiful honeymoon let it be a perfecter of his happiness. Papa will arrange everything. Son Dirga just helped us create happiness for Haira. After that, Papa promised not to ask for anything more from Nak Dirga."

Dirga fell silent at the thought of Mr. Broto's words. Haira. Dirga's conscience is raging. Pity came back to him. There's nothing wrong with giving that happiness to Haira. Haira is his wife now.

"Alright Pa, but after all that I'll go back to Calya. After all that I had to leave Haira. I hope Papa and Mama can keep the promise. After all that don't ask me anything more."

Mr. Broto and Ms. Broto looked at each other. A smile gushed from her lips. Dirga's willingness this time perfected their happiness. Haira has undergone surgery and now the happiness of dreams will be felt by their daughter.
