Dispute of the Heart (CALYA)

Dispute of the Heart (CALYA)
Pettiness

Calya was still curled up on her bed. Unstoppable tears flowed down his entire face. She truly feels like a weak woman now. Helpless to face his life destiny.

Calya had no idea who would share this pain with. His parents would be sadder to hear this news. His father's health is not good. His mother should focus on taking care of him. It would not be fair if they had to increase the burden of their minds with the problems faced by Calya at this time. The only one left was her younger sister, Myesha, who is currently studying in Yogyakarta.

Until his phone suddenly rang. Slowly Calya grabbed it. Praba's name is on his screen. Calya's stunned. He felt that Praba was always present when he was down. The button receives that phone call.

"Hello ..." said Calya.

"Hello ... Miss Dirga, um is Dirga home? Already this session he has not yet arrived at the office," said Praba.

"Dirga ...? Hm ... Dirga is going to Surabaya, sir," said Calya.

"Lho ... in what order? As far as I know, Dirga has no duty to go there and does not take leave" Praba muttered.

"His mother came to pick him up, there are family matters to be done" said Calya.

"Oh .... Then, Miss Dirga herself again huh?" ask Praba.

Calya smiled slightly then said, "I'm used to it, sir."

Praba hung up his phone with a huffed face. Worries ran through his mind. His inner self wondered if all this had anything to do with the pregnancy of Dirga's second wife. Is the arrival of his mother to pick up Dirga is to meet his second wife who is pregnant?

'Did Calya know that Dirga would have a child with his second wife?' inner Praba.

He rushed to finish the work that had to be completed immediately today. I think Praba wants to go home soon. No, it's not her house, it's Calya's. Praba's heart doesn't calm if he doesn't make sure Calya's okay.

This afternoon right after the work hours ended, Praba immediately moved out of his chair. The road was in a hurry, towards the parking lot of his motorbike. He quickly turned it on and turned the gas, bringing the motor on.

A cake shop was his goal. After buying a few pieces of cake, he stopped by a restaurant, bought two portions of food. Then continue the journey back to the complex of his official home.

In front of Calya's house he stopped. While carrying his luggage, Praba headed for the door of Calya's house and knocked.

Calya who was still locked in the room went out after hearing the knock on the door. After peeking out from behind the window curtain and knowing that it was Praba, he opened the door.

"I told you, Dirga doesn't exist, sir," Calya muttered after confronting Praba.

"I'm not looking for Dirga" said Praba.

"Then?" ask Calya.

"I brought this to Ms. Dirga" said Praba, handing over the two packages he had brought.

"What's this?" ask Calya.

"Food" answered Praba.

"Why bring me food?" ask Calya again.

"I just want to make sure that Ms. Dirga eats" replied Praba.

"I mean Father?"

"Mata Bu Dirga sembab," muttered Praba.

Calya held both of her eyes. Of course his eyes were puffy, since last night tears kept rolling from the two beads.

"This ... is probably because I stayed up last night" said Calya.

"I know everything" muttered Praba.

"What?!" Calya jerks. He was confused by the meaning of the word Praba.

Calya wondered in the recesses of her heart, 'So far did Praba know of the household tempest between me and Dirga? It's impossible for Dirga to tell him."

"Can I come in?" pinta Praba breaks the Calya reverie.

"I-yes, please," said Calya stammered.

Praba stepped his foot, entering the living room. Then he sat down in a chair there. Calya did the same. He chose a chair on the other side.

"Sorry .. actually, on that day, where Dirga and you .. clashed in the backyard, I heard it ...." Praba said while looking down.

While in front there Calya's face looked up. His eyes are enlarged. Bummer.

"Thus ... Mr. Praba knows that Dirga .. is polygamous?" ask Calya lirih.

Praba nodded slowly, then said, "Even I know that his second wife is pregnant."

Calya took a breath. "Dirga said it?"

Praba. "I accidentally heard when Dirga's mother called."

Calya's eyes became my eyes. Spoons. His face is down now. Praba raised his face, looking at the woman who was starting to look fragile.

"What are you gonna do?" continued Praba.

Calya turned back to Praba.

"Right now .. I'm alone. No one will side with me as well as with the circumstances. All I can hope for now is Dirga's love. Until now, I still believe that Dirga only loves me even though he has broken his promise. Betray me by touching that woman." Calya closed her eyes as she remembered the thing she said.

"That means .. will you stick with this marriage even if it hurts you?" Praba stared incensedly at Calya.

Calya opened her eyes again. A moment later he sighed.

"How bad would it be to bear the status of a childless widow."

Praba. He dropped his eyes down. I don't know why he felt his chest so hot. Praba can feel the pain of Calya's heart. But it was even more painful for the man because Calya looked helpless.

"Your fate is not bad. This is just part of the drama of life that you have to go through. Just like me, who had to go through a bitter time, losing someone I love forever," said Praba still bowed.

"You're a man, you must be stronger in the face of solitude ..." Calya replied.

Praba raised his head, staring fixedly at Calya's eyes. "Men have hearts too. I also experienced sadness. I can't even get through the day without it. But .. Life is not over. There's still a lot we can do. There are still many people waiting for our laughter. That's what finally got me up. Besides ... I think women are stronger than men."

"What ... do you mean by saying that I dare to make a decision? Do you think .. I have to step back and let Dirga and the woman unite forever. Do I have to give up mine just like that?" Calya stared intently at Praba.

"No. .. It's not so. Please don't be angry .... I just don't want you to be disappointed for too long. I don't want you to continue to be sad" said Praba.

"Why?" ask Calya.

"Because ...." Praba stopped his speech. He took a breath, as if he was awakening himself to stop talking.

"Because what?" Calya jerking.

"Because the people who love you wouldn't be happy to know you like that. Doesn't there still be someone other than Dirga who loves you? Your parents, for example ...."

Calya was stunned at Praba's words. His body was squeezing, signalling that the speech was true.

Living in the shadow of her husband's second wife will surely spark the flames of grief throughout her life. And sooner or later, his family will know about it.

What decision will Calya make? Can her heart hold all that pain? Or should he step back from this strange relationship?
