"It's brutal, well, I don't think that even though time has passed for thousands of years, the demon wolf is still very cruel and terrible." A young man in a skull-patterned black robe walked up to the place.
A few minutes earlier he had already been in this place above the sky while monitoring, but who would have thought that everything would end so tragically.
The young man approached the body of the little girl who was lying on the ground weakly, pale and full of wounds, the entire energy of the little girl had been drained to avenge him, with such an empty body in the next few minutes he would die from running out of magic energy.
"Luckily I'm here, just relax I won't let you die again." The young man carried the little girl and then channeled her magic energy slowly towards his body.
From a distance he could see a hut that was quite bad, many holes and not maintained, after burying the bodies of the two parents of the girl, he said, he immediately went to the hut to rest the little girl in his cradle.
Not feeling some time pass and the night comes, the little girl opens her eyes slowly, there is still a pain in her eyes due to crying too much.
The girl held up her body slowly and looking around, she knew the place because it was her own home with her parents.
Feeling that she had just had a bad dream, the girl immediately went to her parents' room and did not find them there, as soon as she remembered something very bad on her mind, his body trembled and his tears began to flow down his face.
In front of his parents' second room he cried loudly with sadness that enveloped his heart, he did not even realize that behind him was a young man who was staring at him sadly.
The young man approached slowly then touched the girl's shoulder which made her very surprised, the girl looked back and found a black-haired young man, with a pair of horns on his head and bloodshot eyes that were staring at him sadly was a small smile on him.
"Who ...?" The girl asked softly, there is no spirit in her life left.
"Zovarein, I brought you here." The answer.
"Why did you bring me here!? you should have just let me die there! everyone is the same! no one cares about us just because I'm a damned child! i Hate! I Hated It Once! I'll kill them all! All that made me lose my parents!!" He shouted at Zovarein firmly without restraint, and released all that he had in his heart.
Looking at the little girl who was scolding him so harshly like that, Zovarein just kept quiet without retaliating, he did not want to put out words that made the girl even more sad or angry.
Without hesitation Zovarein approached the girl and gently hugged her, although she could revive the dead, that power was not on her now, there was nothing he could do but try to calm him down.
"What are you doing! Release him! I said Let go!" The girl rebelled, but because of her small strength, she could not escape from it at all, only in that embrace did she feel a comfortable and warm feeling, there was no danger he felt to stop him rebelling and crying in Zovarein's warm embrace.
His parents never told him that he was a cursed child, nor did his parents ever tell him that the reason they moved to the demon forest was him, his parents always took good care of him.
But he knew everything, he remained silent and did not bring up the problem so that his parents did not feel guilty. Who would have thought that everything would end like this, her weak and still small self did not have a strong heart to accept everything, either, a few minutes later he fell asleep in Zovarein's arms with a very pale face.
"Although I'm a Demon King though, fate is still something I can't change, at least for now." Zovarein looked at the girl in his arms warmly, longing and guilt mixed in his heart which made him slightly depressed, but he tried to remain calm and carried the girl to his bed and let her lie there.
"I know how you feel because I've experienced it too, it's definitely not painful, but it's all been recorded in the book of destiny, there's nothing we can do but live it." Zovarein rubbed the girl's face gently, and cleaned the tears that soaked her face.
...----------------...
He quickly got out of his bed and went to the living room, he who had hoped that his parents were there immediately stopped his steps, a person in a skull-patterned black robe was sitting in the corner of the room which surprised him.
"You're up, I've cooked some food, eat it so you don't starve." Zovarein said calmly as he saw the girl coming to a halt when he saw her
"I don't want to eat." The girl said nonchalantly, while approaching Zovarein slowly.
"Don't say that, you're a kid and you need food for your growth." Zovarein persuaded him again.
Looking at Zovarein who was still persuading him, the girl sat down next to Zovarein and in front of him there were some foods that looked very good.
"You're not eating?" The girl asked as she stared fixedly at Zovarein.
"I don't need food." Zovarein replied with a small smile.
"Then I won't eat either!" The girl put the spoon in her hand.
Seeing the little girl sulking in front of him made Zovarein laugh a little, then he took a spoon on another plate. "Well I'll eat too, don't complain like that."
The girl just nodded, then took another spoon and immediately ate with Zovarein, when she ate the food, she was immediately very surprised because it tasted so good, but the look of his surprised face was only a moment before he again put on his usual facial expression.
"Enak right? I learned from my wife to cook it." Zovarein said with a smile on the girl, he also began to eat the food he cooked slowly, so that the girl ate more of it.
"Your wife must be really good, because you've cooked it so well, she's sure to cook it even better." Praise the girl while eating voraciously.
"Little girl, I still don't know your name, can you tell me?" Zovarein asked.
"Include yourself first before asking people to tell you her name, my mother often taught me such things." The girl said coldly.
"But I said my name yesterday, so I asked your name." Zovarein replied calmly without getting angry at all.
As soon as the girl recalled the incident last night where Zovarein told her name, she was embarrassed in an instant because she had advised people when she herself was wrong.
"My name is LayNova." The girl replied indifferently.
But Zovarein, who heard it, fell silent for a few seconds, before returning to eat quietly so that the girl next to him did not suspect anything.
"So, what a great name."
