DEMON LORDS

DEMON LORDS
The Deathly Forest

Suddenly the atmosphere in the place changed from being so calm to very tense, the birds around started flying away from the place while chirping in panic.

From one tree to the other there were faintly a number of shadows moving very fast, they continued to move to where Zovarein and Shin were without any sound heard.

The shadows began to disperse and form a formation surrounding Zovarein and Shin from above and below the surrounding trees.

Then without any warning, they fired a small needle that shot very fast right towards Zovarein and Shin's neck.

When the needle will hit them, the two Masters and Servants have already disappeared from their place to make the needle hit nothing.

!?

"It's very aggressive, yeah.." A voice sounded from above the sky.

The shadows looked up and found that Zovarein and Shin were hovering in the sky. Then again without warning they fired a small needle at the two of them, and once again the Master and Servant disappeared from the sky to make the needle hit nothing.

"How about we talk calmly first?" Zovarein appeared in the previous place while staring carefully.

But none of the shadows answered him, they just stared at each other like they were discussing something through the mind.

A while later, the shadows stared intently at the two of them.

The shadows raised their hands forward parallel to their shoulders, then cast a spell in a language completely unknown to Shin, but different from Zovarein who knew it so well.

「Zoyipa zopotoka zanzeru zoyipa zankhanza zonyansa」

The eyes of the shadows began to emit a golden white light that was quite bright, for several minutes they remained staring at Zovarein and Shin intently as if they were examining the two of them closely.

"Sir, do you know what they're doing?" Shin asked.

"Investigating your intentions and strengths." Respond to spontaneous zovarein.

"Investigating intentions?"

"Right, if magic could read one's mind, then the special power that Elves possessed could read one's intentions, yet there was something strange.."

Zovarein narrowed his eyes as he looked further into the golden energy that was penetrating his skin.

"Any?" Shin stared at the energy.

"Yes, this is very weak, very different from thousands of years ago. If it's not like this let's not read the intention, just read our strength level they might have trouble." Zovarein shook his head.

He was quite disappointed by this, however he had already placed great hopes on other races besides the Devil that they would continue to evolve and not decline like the Devil, however, the same thing happened to Dark Elves.

"Julukan Forest of Death seems I can pull from this ordinary Forest, I don't know what the fool did to his own tribe, huh..."

"You're right."

"Shins. Do it quickly and don't overdo it!"

"Good!"

A few seconds passed and Shin returned from the darkness and immediately knelt under Zovarein's feet.

"Duty done." He said with respect.

"Good work, you also left one as I wanted." Zovarein said making the one remaining Shadow dumbfounded.

The shadow glanced around and found that all of his comrades had fallen. Because of the panic, the shadow lost focus and immediately showed the true figure of a young Dark Elf with a pale face in fear.

"My shadow!" He cried out in panic and then returned to reciting a spell that made his body again covered in black shadows but not completely covered, if noticed then there will be some hollow parts in the shadow.

"You're the leader, right? I want to meet your chieftain, take me to the Holy Forest!" Zovarein said coldly, his eyes sharp as if to say that he did not want to hear rejection.

"Why should I obey your wishes? if you intend badly on the Chieftain then forget it! I'll never take you there." He dared to scream.

"Let's just keep all your subordinates alive and unharmed, I don't have any bad intentions for an old friend at all, so take me there."

"Don't get along with the Leader!" The young Dark Elf again refused.

"Well, if the good way can't then I'll do it my own way." Zovarein walked east and was followed by Shin from behind.

"Wait on! Where are you going?" The Dark Elf was suspicious.

"It's none of your business, see you!" Zovarein waved his hand then was not seen again by the Dark Elf because it was very far away.

"Based on a fucking intruder, what do they want to do in the middle of the woods of Death like this?" The Dark Elf grumbled as he watched his subordinates one by one carefully.

"Nobody really died.."

The young Dark Elf immediately gathered his subordinates in one place then carefully examined their condition one by one, he did not want to miss a single small damage to the bodies of his subordinates.

"But why did they go east?"

...----------------...

"Where are we going, my majesty?" Shin asked after their distance was already quite far from where it was before.

"I originally wanted to go to the Holy Forest that was in front of us but, first of all, we had to take that thing." Zovarein pointed at a Purple-colored Crystal lit up the size of the palm of an adult Devil that was hovering not far from where they were standing.

"Our face, is it possible that the crystal is?"

"True, it's one of them and it's pretty big."

The two of them approached the crystal with absolutely no guards or traps at all, just like when someone took a boulder next to his house, similarly, the way Zovarein touches the crystal without any obstruction at all.

Suddenly an extremely dazzling purple light immediately illuminated the place very quickly. Zovarein who was holding the crystal immediately put the crystal into his body slowly, his body trembled violently with several irregular white lines running through his hands, on the young man's face was a smile that showed that he was very happy at the moment.

For a minute the light illuminated the Forest then vanished without a trace as suddenly as nothing had happened before.

"Ah.. eventually my memory completely recovered by 7%, it was not in vain that I came to this very obscure place."
