DELENE

DELENE
FOUR

"I know, we don't look alike at all."

Maybe he's a little overdone, but Gavin can see the sadness behind Delena's smile on him. Then the woman looked down when Gavin just silently looked at her for a while later.

"I can guess what your pretty head is, Del."

"I didn't think at all, Ko. So I happen to know Selena, I know Mr. Matthew too. He's one of my business partners. And if you ask me, I also know Joshua."

Oh, of course you are. Gavin could even know his entire family. The fact that the man was at his sister's birthday show alone has proven one of them. Then Delena wondered, why did Gavin lower his voice when he mentioned Joshua?

Until the sound of approaching footsteps and a very baritone voice Delena poult answered the question in her mind.

"Delena! "

Joshua ran a little when his man found Delena standing in the back garden with a man beside her.

"I'm looking for you everywhere" Joshua said as their distance neared.

Delena frowned, still standing still without saying anything.

"Let's come with me." Joshua pulled the woman's arm slowly, but Delena who had been on standby from the start immediately let go.

"Dell, please..."

"I want to go home, brother. I'm playing with brother." Delena stepped back, subconsciously approaching Gavin behind her.

"Delena Scharlete."

"She said No."

In a 'very man' style, Gavin stood in front of Delena and looked directly at Joshua in both eyes. He tried to pull Delena's arm but Delena also avoided it.

"This has nothing to do with you, Gavin."

"Oh, unfortunately I will have a relationship with Delena," Gavin said with his leisure.

Although not clearly shown, Joshua was certainly surprised by the statement he had just heard. As he recalled, Gavin was a man who almost never showed any interest in any woman.

Why Delena though?

Regardless of Gavin's words, Delena immediately left the two men who were busy looking at each other behind her. He ran a little after successfully removing both shoes that are high enough and sighs with relief when he arrived in front of the big gate of his house.

***

Selena Schalete's sister appeared at the party and shocked the virtual world after a photo of her with Joshua Pratama spread. Society : Love Triangles?

Delena read the news many times and wished herself wrong. He almost cursed when he found a photo of himself with Joshua holding his arm in the back garden yesterday.

"*Selena is so much prettier, they're real sisters?"

"Geez, where are Joshua's eyes?"

"Gatau brother's sister is very engaged her own brother would be snatched*."

While busy reading while wiping the phone screen, suddenly the name Joshua appeared accompanied by a vibration that immediately stopped because Delena accidentally pressed the green button there.

Delena exhaled before putting the thing in her ear.

"Hello" said the woman.

"Del, beat me up. After this you have to turn on your phone and don't go anywhere first, okay?"

"I've seen it, brother."

"..."

"I can take care of myself. And I have to work so I can't possibly go anywhere."

"I promise to take care of this as soon as possible. You're..."

The phone connection was cut off. And this was the second time Delena had decided on the call from the man.

It was only a few seconds before another call came into his phone. Delena looked at the object only to see Mr. Gavin's name there. He simply quieted down without any intention of raising until the fifteenth ring.

"God.."

"Why is it so long, anyway?" blow the guy.

"Sorry, who is this? Looks like you're on the wrong side." There was a sigh on the other side, Delena unconsciously held back a smile.

"*Ga. Funnier. Delena's."

"I'll wait until you're ready to go to work. Don't ge-er! I'm just passing through*."

"Wh.."

"In front of the apartment you have a lot of reporters. I'm getting a little uncomfortable. I wait 10 minutes at most. See you."

This time it was Gavin who cut off their phone connection. Delena stared at her blank phone screen, "Maybe this is what people call karma," she said listlessly.

Delena rushed to the bathroom and cleaned herself as fast as she could. He doesn't need breakfast, but god! he needs time at least to make up! The woman cursed when she got a message from Gavin that only read '5 minutes.'

He snatched his bag and a hoodie that happened to be on the wall. It looks like Delena was wearing it yesterday afternoon or maybe yesterday again. No problem, it's certainly useful.

Delena walks leisurely while occasionally pulling her hoodie when accidentally bumping into the person she thinks is a reporter. Actually the woman hid almost everyone she met. And Delena made it out safely as expected. He finds Gavin's car at the parking lot and quickly enters it.

"Sorry, who are you?" asked Gavin coldly.

Delena took off the hoodie that covered her head to half her face and smiled broadly.

"Geez, which princess from disney?" Gavin smiled back before putting on a made-up surprised face.

"You know the Belle movie? Well, I'm the bell," replied Delena of origin.

"I'm fit to be Mr. Candle if so. I'll warm the guy."

Delena wasn't stupid just to translate that sentence. But the woman just smiled a little. He looked out for a moment watching the reporters who were in a daze in front of his apartment complex before returning to look at the man next to him. Gavin is seen calling someone, but his gaze is fixed directly on Delena's bead in front of him.

"Yes, Sindy?"

"..."

"Please delay for another hour."

"..."

"Thank you."

Gavin turned off the phone and started yapping the engine of his car. Don't forget Delena had put her seatbelt on herself before Gavin could recall. The man smiled and started to gas.

"I have to apologize first or thank you first" Delena said quietly.

"Why?"

"I must've interrupted the schedule..."

"I told you I was passing by. No need to apologize or thank you, Del."

"Sorry..."

Gavin did not answer again. For a while he only focused on the road until Gavin finally put his car down, stopped to pick up a parking ticket and walked slowly back into the shop area where Delena worked.

"Have a nice day" Gavin said as they had stopped right in front of the course.

"Thank you, Gavin."

Gavin smiled, and Delena had already gotten out of the car as the man said "see you" quietly.
