DELENE

DELENE
TIGA

Delena had no idea what made her even more fascinated. The three students who fell asleep peacefully on the sofa or the figure of Gavin who was lifting one of the children gently in his arms.

And that Darren, the usually fussiest and super-active kid in his class, looked adorable when he fell asleep. Alvin the youngest and Devan the oldest also fell asleep hugging each other.

Then Delena took Alvin carefully. He followed Gavin who was already walking in front of the one that Delena thought was heading towards the child's third room.

"Umm.I'll take Devan," said Gavin as they laid the two. Delena smiled slightly and nodded.

"Om, why isn't Devan being carried as well?"

And the child was suddenly already at the door with half-opened eyes and both hands raised into the air. Gavin gave a small laugh before then lifting up his greatest nephew and laying him on the bed with his two younger siblings. The man pulled the blanket and briefly kissed his three super nephews.

Delena suddenly felt like she wasn't supposed to be there and it bothered her. He stepped out of the room, picking up his bag lying on the table in the TV room after he turned off the TV first.

"Would you like to go home?" ask Gavin who was behind him.

Delena looked at the man and nodded. "I'm saying-"

"Let's take me home."

"Huh?"

"On gapapa's bike, right?"

"I can go home on an angkot-"

"We'll have to get in the car if that's the case.." Gavin smiled amusedly.

"I'm forcing, Del. Come on!"

Deg.

Delena nailed it but Gavin immediately pulled her arm. And the girl had to comply while matching her steps.

"Del, Om Matthew asks you to come home. You want me to go get you there?"

Delena looked to her right and left before stepping across the street. An ear sounder was attached to his ear while the look on his face looked grim.

"Sorry I'm busy, Brother Shua. And please tell me papa stopped contacting me through brother," the girl told the person across the phone.

"Please, Del."

"I'll close."

Delena disconnected the phone and unknowingly cried.

Tiinn....

Delena gasped and immediately wiped away her tears. He turned around after believing he did not look bad and he was again surprised to find Gavin's car parked in front of him. In the morning across from his apartment complex.

"I saw you at the bus stop there a few days ago."

Delena frowned not understanding. "Is there a coincidence that I left behind yesterday?" ask Delena.

Gavin. He was already standing leisurely before her with his arms leaning against the body of the car. "I'm the guy on the bus you told me to stand on."

Delena closed her mouth and her eyes were round.

"Wahh!!! Seriously you're the first woman to twice forget a man as attractive as me, Del."

Delena almost rolled her eyes if only she could not remember that the man before her was one of her student guardians.

"I'm sorry, sir. I-i"

"I think we left the call of Mr. Miss and all that formalities last night."

"Am I the only one who thinks that? Or have you changed your mind?"

Delena smiled as decently as possible while praying inwardly. "Sorry, I have to work and I'm almost late."

"I'm going to change the kids' PR. Because it just happened to be through here so I stopped by just in case you wanted to be together."

Delena stared at her phone screen which showed the current time then at the man before her. He assured himself that this was just a professional relationship before nodding and opening the door.

Gavin smiled even though he knew Delena didn't see him. He immediately walked around and entered the other door before starting the engine.

"Safety belt?"

"We're only a few meters away. No need-"

Delena's words were cut because Gavin had bent over putting that shitty belt on her body. Her cheeks were heating up and her heart-crazed heart made Delena worry that Gavin could hear her within such a close distance.

"Dell.."

"Delena, please."

"Okay, have a nice day."

Delena smiled slightly and nodded. And he was still staring at where the man was standing until he disappeared behind his car and left.

Delena holds onto her chest, a new habit she gets after getting to know Gavin the om from her three super kids.

Then his face returned grim. After Joshua's shadow re-emerged with painful memories that he had made. Delena shook her head trying to make all the negative energies attacking her go away.

"Cheer up, okay!" the girl in my heart.

Drrt.

Delena searched the phone in her bag and found negative energy earlier that day. 'Nice day what?!'

She opened an email from the sender, which she knew was her brother, after taking three deep breaths.

From : Selena

To : Delena

Subject: I Miss U

My sister will be home next Saturday. I hope you haven't forgotten your sister's birthday.

Delena immediately turned off her phone and put it back in her bag. He sure did not have to bother to retaliate let alone come if only to get hurt again.

But here is where he stands. In the middle of the party with a luxurious dress attached to her body that looked uncomfortable. The dress was pretty, not looking excessive actually. It was just that Delena felt her back exposed and it was a shame. He tried to avoid people by just standing in the corner of the room. The party itself was held at the home of her parents whom Delena thought previously would not be as luxurious and lively as this. Apparently Delena forgot that her brother is a super model who is on the rise and her father is a businessman who is quite influential in the city.

Some men blatantly glanced at her, but most just silently watched or smiled a little at her.

Delena doesn't know these people. But she doesn't want to join her family, which Delena believes will only heat up.

"Hi, sweetie."

Delena almost jumped when suddenly Gavin was standing behind her very close.

"You're so shocked every time we meet. I'm creepy or what?" gavin asked a little irritated.

The man crossed his arms, then advanced his face closer towards Delena. Delena retreated unconsciously.

"Pretty."

Gavin looked at him from top to bottom and he could not stop smiling.

"Please keep your eyes on me, sir."

The man laughed. It looked strange and sweet until they made the gazes of many people in the room fixed on them. No, Delena was sure most people there were just staring at Gavin who looked as charming as ever.

"Why are you here, Del?" gavin asked when they were out of the house leaving the party.

"Delena," said the girl a little louder.

"Okay, De-le-na."

Delena wanted to be upset but laughed. I don't know why I can't be mad at the guy in front of me.

"Because I'm invited."

"You know what I mean, right?"

"Yes, I'm Selena's sister."

"What?"

Gavin could not hide his shock and it made Delena feel even smaller.

"I know, we don't look alike at all."

Delena has been through this for most of her life. Many people use it because of that. Especially the men who approached her only to be close to the super beautiful Selena. And he wouldn't be surprised if Gavin would probably be one of them.
