Aafreda knew about the Titan race, indeed it was feared by all the races in the Naturra world because of their strength. In the novel it has been mentioned that the Titan race is a god race yet they are on the dark side. They lived in hiding from the god race who were on opposite sides of them, so the Titans were after the daughter of Cerelia who was a descendant of the god race who was on the side of the light. They were looking forward to Cerelia's death.
