DARK SECRET

DARK SECRET
YOU SHOULD SEE ME IN THE CROWN

Courage is billowing overhead. Looking at each other and intimidating as if ready to pounce. None of the two men looked out. Equally tough want to knock out opponents. No sacred sentence triggers debate or absolute accusations that come out of the lips of Grace and Aska who were sitting face to face on the soft sofa of the magnificent Harmon residence. Mayor Shadowfalls who have long since their descendants often get luxury.

It felt like a kingdom that was only inherited by generations. There should not even be an election. Not a bad thing because the quality of work of the Harmon family in leading is very good. Evidently how they even sacrificed families for what they got. Keep peace and maintain strength. Shadowfalls has always been a favorite city.

"The perfect reunion, Askara?" Grace chose to start the conversation for the special guest. The raised chin is haughty with the caramel iris too clear-slightly out of proportion to an asymmetrical smile. Full cunning.

"I never expected to come back here. The ruined city. Spoiled. Dulled. Peace wrapped in falsehood."

"What are you saying, detective, Aska? You should be grateful that this city shaped you the way it is today. Look, you were just a kid who used to look for trouble. Looks like it has no future, now even a young detective. Your father must be proud, right?"

"Fuck, don't mention my father's name with your filthy mouth!" maki Aska. Maybe Grace was intentional because it was obvious that the girl was smiling with satisfaction. Like demons. Witches that sow hatred.

Aska took a deep breath trying to calm herself down. You cannot be involved and try to be professional. Very not himself. But all of Harmon's family and his descendants were the ones he hated the most. The cause of his father's death was Shadowfalls City where the goddamn Mr. Harmon became the ruler. Considers people as mere puppets including his own father. The woman in front of him is the same. Growing up to be a witch ready to eat a soul if only she let her guard down a little. Presenting beautiful visualizations that are often deceptive, but not with him.

Slightly cleared his throat with his hands clenched in front of his mouth, then returned to tidying up the collar which was not even a mess at all. It is really about taking control of yourself back. Once he let his guard down and fell into a trap, then he would lose. Aska is often number one in self-control. Just him and himself. But this town brought him back to old age. All the grief and gloom on behalf of his father. Such a heartbreaking loss.

"What exactly are you doing, Grace Harmon?" Grace looked completely unmoved when the question was clearly meant to attack, test and try.

"What do you mean, Askara?" asked back so calmly.

"With me there's no need to pretend like that. I already know everything."

"Is that so? But isn't what I'm dealing with now a detective? Then I have to answer carefully and correctly so as not to make your assumptions burden me, right?" a smart and powerful answer.

Aska finally chuckled. It felt like I had not found anything this interesting. His eyes narrowed looking gleeful while clapping in astonishment. Not a satire but turned into happiness. "Well, you're gonna have to get special and different handling. Let's just get to the center. In my way-you'll handle."

Grace nodded her head as if she was being lectured. According to hearing the explanation word for word but in fact it looks like scorn. Both men with fucking arrogance.

"Why are you doing all this, Grace? Let your own disgrace video spread?"

Grace was stunned for a moment. Clearly his face changed. He was holding on behind the mask of calm he was wearing. Of course Aska's question became a blow that attacked him directly. Askara was satisfied to see that. At least he could see the change in the girl's face. Being a detective makes him an expert at reading expressions. Often like the tv series Lied to me where the detective can read through facial expressions. Sometimes it may not be exactly right, but it can be a lawyer.

"So you're accusing me of doing that? Did ya? What's for?" Grace chuckled in response like it was the worst joke yet made her widest. Unfortunately only the triviality that was thrown meant to insult.

Aska tucked her shoulder. "Then I told you. What's for?" It is smart to intimidate until the perpetrator confesses. Flipping through the words as if Grace was already a suspect entirely.

"You and your assumptions are very bad, Aska."

"It's conclusion. It's at the end."

"alright. Why did you say that? You think I'm gonna ruin my own life?"

Aska looked at Grace in silence. Look deep into that netra. Sure enough that the girl had something dark she was trying to cover up. The video was all he wanted. By will. The question is why? Why did the girl do that. " Do you remember anyone calling you at school? I called you to ask for the video."

Grace was surprised. The expression is the same as before. Aska deduces that the girl did it, because the same reaction was to one that was gray and one that was clear. So both became very clear. "I heard your conversation with Abel. I'm detective. I need to know," Aska explained honestly. Don't ask why he should do that. In this game must be smart to sort out which ones should be spoken or kept well.

"Now you know, right? So who did it?"

"What really happened to you and your friends? Who killed him? What did you guys experience afterwards?"

Such a tempting question. To be honest put doubts on Grace. Should he say everything, any threats that occur. Aska is a detective, has two sides in terms that he is also his friends experience, Aska can be a protector or even a pointed side that makes him destroyed. Too risky. So Grace decided to keep her mouth shut.

"Gift? Hmh! Stop acting like a Princess Harmon. You're the suspect right now in my eyes. I won't want to be your minion even if you give me the benefits."

"Just say it and don't talk too much." Too assertive. Aska finds a different side of Grace this time. So he opened his voice while looking at every look of the face made.

"If the other person handling might not find the answer. But Shadowfallls and its rot are ingrained in me. Out of the head. Even you yourself. I know exactly how you are, Grace. Every chance you get it. Make a plan and make it a game. Sacrificing anything even yourself for a purpose at the end."

"I didn't post that video at school. I even came when the video was playing."

"Did I say you spread it? I said you let it. You didn't spread it, I know. Fuck whoever spreads it. But you. Grace you're smart."

Grace fell silent and laughed then clapped her hands. "I give you the gift!"

"I told you I don't need ha-"

"The one who spread it was Emeli"

Aska was silent for a moment. Success silences. The gift that is said to be really a gift.

"You're right, I can turn off all the power easily. But I let him. Of course I'm not the one who told. Someone else knows who. But whatever it is. This time I thank the intruder. I saw clearly how Emeli took the video back and caught the girl with Sean. Just anyways."

"So you have two things; the truth is your conclusion, but I am not the mastermind. Ah. plus you know someone's terrorizing us. And a while ago I decided not to tell you because you are like a knife that has two sides, blunt and pointed. Both are dangerous."

Like being given a surprise. Banging bertubi. The reality left over from the magazine.

"Why are you telling me this?"

"Because I also need to know who's terrorizing. You're intelligent. You're needed. Like you said that the Harmons always control, don't you? Even if you don't want to in the end you will. Like at the moment. Even without needing me to ask. I need to know what's behind all this."

In reality, he was trapped again. Hoping that he did not end up being eaten by the Harmon family's cunning. It doesn't end like his father.

"Then why did you let him? Let the video spread? Because of the emotion in Sean? Jealous of Emeli? You're hurt here too, right? I saw clearly the video where you were hit and it wasn't just acting. You're obviously hurt."

Grace fell silent. His eyes are sad. "Yes.. I'm so hurt."

"Then why?"

"No more presents, Askara."

Aska's jaw is hardened. Scrambling frustrating hair at the girl in front of him. "What exactly happened to everything?!"

"Isn't it your job to find out?"

"Then what's really on your head! I never understood you. Always wondering which side you're on."

So a smile asymmetrical again floated on the little lips of Grace who is quite thick. So devious. "You should see me in the crown."

There's no definitive answer. Still grey. But at the end of the sentence. Aska knew it was the biggest clue Grace had given her.
