Cthulhu Gonfalons

Cthulhu Gonfalons
Chapter 23

On Earth, there is a literary quote that says, “Children are flowers in the garden, and thrive in the sunshine and warmth of mother earth.”

In this strange world where it was not warm enough, the buds would not grow healthy. Some will wither, some will perish, some will produce flowers but bear no fruit. There are some that will bear fruit; but they are beautiful flowers (pronounced “Qi Pa” in Chinese, meaning total freak).

Orcs with the nickname “Bloody Hand,” for example, are typical freaks.

“He wants us to hand him the legendary precious thing, otherwise he will kill innocent villagers .. Gerrard, what is this guy thinking? Is there something wrong with his mind? ”Sui Xiong thought for a moment, but still failed to understand how his brain was developing in such a strange way. He had no choice but to ask Gerrard's followers.

However, Gerrard also could not provide a reasonable explanation. He's also very confused.

Being kind doesn't mean being silly. Trying to threaten them by randomly selecting some villagers they don't even know and holding them hostage? It only treated Sui Xiong and Gerrard like fools!

“What do you want to say?” Gerrard could not help but ask. “‘Why should I exchange my valuables so that you don't kill these villagers when I can just kill you?’ Am I right?”

Ruhr already knew he was going to say this, and proudly sneered, “You could have killed me, but I have already dispersed my subordinates. If you don't give away your bracelets, they will immediately kill any villagers they might see! Which would you choose, a precious object or the lives of innocent villagers? ”

He smiles like a man, his short nose almost bends upwards and sticky saliva — that gives off a disgusting smell under the sun — drips from his sharp teeth.

Gerrard was so angry that he even started laughing. He decides to give Ruhr a nice punch right on his face and send him back to his mother's womb, so in the next life — if there is — he will be a good man. Before he made a move, Sui Xiong stopped him.

“Interesting .. I've never seen such a shameless person!” Sui Xiong sneered. His intention to kill Ruhr was increasing. “Because you can't defeat me, you want to kill the green hand? Attractively. Very enticing. I'll never be able to regain my peace if I don't teach you a lesson and make you suffer, so you can do nothing but delete your gaming account and never dare to log in again! ”

“Your Highness, what are you planning?”

“Give her the bracelet,” Sui Xiong said coldly. “I will tell you when everything is done.”

Gerrard surprised. “What?! Give him “Void Gaze”? To that shameless thug? ”

“Iya. After you hand it to him, turn around and walk away. Don't return. ”

From Xiong's cold sui tone, Gerrard had already guessed what Sui Xiong wanted to do, and was shivering.

Gerrard knew that what the extremely evil Orc bandits would face was probably the worst outcome, as he had managed to anger His Majesty Without a Face.

After angering a real God, this foolish man even dared to bring a holy object into where the real God exists. A fool. I wonder what awaits him?

The kind-hearted Gerrard was no longer willing to think deeply about this; he was afraid that doing so would only make him have nightmares.

He removed the bone bracelet from his right wrist, threw it at the Ruhr, turned around, and left. He had no interest in seeing Ruhr's ugly appearance by delirious and hurriedly caught the bracelet.

He's walking very fast. He did not want to see the terrible tragic consequences that would befall the Ruhr; however, he also felt disgusted by the Ruhr.

The behavior of these Orc bandits is too bad to be fully explained in words like ‘evil’ or ‘ugly;’ in fact, his behavior is as disgusting as rotting meat. Gerrard considered himself neither a fly nor a dung beetle, and thus could not force himself to be around people like the Ruhr.

Ruhr was too busy to care for a silly and very kind man like Gerrard. He was completely troubled by the bone bracelet he had just received.

This precious object was exactly as it was told him. There was a powerful magic energy within it. Looking from the outside, his magic aura was not very bright; it was as if it was just something an adventurer with several years of experience could buy. But when Ruhr held it in his hand, he instantly felt the energy contained within it rich, or even infinite!

He wanted to wear the bracelet, but it turned out to be a bracelet for a giant, and it was too big to be worn on his wrist. He thought for a while, and finally decided to wear it around his neck as a collar. Even then, it was still a bit too big for the collar.

The Ruhr doesn't care if it's big or not anymore. As soon as he put on ‘kerah’, he saw a white light burning, then felt endless energy surging within him, as if he had become extremely powerful or omnipotent. He became so brave and generous that he thought if heaven opposed him, he would fight against heaven; if God opposed him, he would also fight against God. Even the grasses and trees around him seemed frightened by his courage, and bowed to his power.

“Very valuable thing!” He couldn't help but laugh.

Then he turned to his subordinates and asked proudly, “What do you think?”

Soon, his smile froze.

What he saw was not his subordinates who had been with him for many years, but some soft and sticky meat blocks that had many tentacles, and made very strange sounds.

Ruhr exclaimed and took several steps back spontaneously. He did not stop until he hit a tree. But at once he felt that something was wrong. The tree he hit was not as hard as the tree he should have been. Instead it was quite gummy, and he felt as if he was clinging to it.

He hurriedly struggled to get down, and managed to do so. But when he turned around, the trees he had seen before had completely disappeared. What he saw were countless tentacles, moving crazily, large and small, and in disarray.

Suddenly, he realized it was the face of the Cavalry of the Orcs and Wolves!

At that moment, the slightly blurred faces suddenly became very clear. He discovered that he knew each of them very well! However, he could not see the toughness and obedience of these faces, as usual; instead he saw the frightened and lifeless faces with the bluish-white color of the corpses.

Ruhr howled big and took out his machete in self-defense.

“What ... what are you!” He roared, brandishing his machete. “How dare you play me. I'll cut you all to pieces! ”

A strange laughter echoed in his ears. He swung his machete in the direction he thought it came from the sound, but he missed.

Turning around, he saw a monster that had no physical form, but an Orc face, with tentacles on it. It was floating in the air and looking at him with lifeless eyes. The piercing sound he made was like a cat scratching steel, and seemed to be coming from his neck.

“Back. Come back to us. ”

Suddenly the voice echoed in all directions. “Come back, come back.” The voice was high-pitched and low-pitched, like the voices of parents and children, and all the voices were lifeless.

If one were to listen carefully, one could tell that the voice was filled with boundless happiness.

Ruhr shouted, brandished his machete and dashed towards where there were not too many monsters.

As a habitual bandit, he was not afraid of death; but if he was going to die, he thought he could not be killed by this strange monster! He had a hunch that if he was captured by these monsters, he would not even be able to die, but instead be cruelly tortured!

“Orc God, please bless me!” He prayed, and ran as fast as he could, hoping he could leave those monsters far behind.

Ruhr ran very fast, but she still felt she was not moving at all, as she saw everything around her had not changed. When looking down, he discovered that he was not standing on hard ground, but something squirming. There was even an icy-cold sticky liquid flowing, and the backs of his legs were drenched.

Ruhr shouted as if he was crazy, and brandished a machete in all directions. Even though he did not cut anything, it did indeed make him become bold and bold again, and he stood up a little firmer.

“Come! I am not afraid of death! ”

The monsters that had the faces of their subordinates approached very quickly, with their strange tentacles waving with fear. Although they did not have too much strength, they were rather sticky and tenacious. When Ruhr cut one of them with his sharp magic machete, not even a scar was left on them.

Ruhr thought he had been supported into a corner, but regardless of him clenching his teeth and desperately slashing the monsters. If one cut is not enough, he then cuts two or three times; if that does not work, he punches and kicks them, or even bites them.

Ruhr was in a difficult situation, if he had been in this kind of situation before, he had forgotten when it happened. His mind gradually fell into a state of chaos, as if his brain had been filled with semi-solid and sticky fat.

After a while, Ruhr realized that the machete was not in his hands. He had lost his strength and could not move his hands and feet anymore. Even the weapon he was born with — his teeth — felt too hard to bite anything else again.

The monster that had its own tentacles finally defeated it. It injures itself around the Ruhr, and gets tighter, until Ruhr finally discovers that he can't breathe anymore. He gradually lost his sight as well. He was so tired that every time he breathed, his heart and lungs hurt so much. But compared to the pain in the back of his brain, this was basically nonexistent. The pain was too itchy to bear; he almost wanted to smash his own skull with a machete, dig his brain and stomp on it.

But now, he could do nothing but watch the large tentacles, with a face he could not see clearly, approaching slowly. He soon realized in the tentacles was a large mouth with many small teeth inside. His teeth rubbed against each other, making a piercing sound.

There was a time when Ruhr thought he should pray, but his mind had been in such a state of chaos that he could not answer or give a clear answer.

Pray for who? How does one pray?

He doesn't know.

The next moment, he even forgot that he should have prayed.

When he was injured by the tentacles, when he was about to be swallowed by that huge mouth, he finally saw that face clearly.

It was his own face.

Her nerves finally broke. The last shred of sanity in his mind vanished completely. All that was left was an infinitive stickiness and chaos.

The bandit chief who had lost his essential spirit, leaving only his outer form, smiled strangely.

“Haha .. hehe .. hahahaha ..”
