Chapter 2
Asa in Prayer
"Deva, Devi where are you," muttered Aluna. He's wearing a mask. In refugee camps, the implementation of the program is very strict because the current spread of Covid-19 is still crazy.
"Are you dragged by this Ciliwung water current?"
Aluna was standing on the edge of the Bridge of Combat in that cloudy afternoon.
The atmosphere of the bridge that afternoon was very quiet. Vehicle occasionally passes. One might not have dared to pass because the flood that had just happened a day ago had not fully receded.
He looked far down, into the murky rush of the Ciliwung River. The river was still overflowing, but not as big as this morning.
Aluna's two hands held the fence of the bridge wall. His body began to lean. His eyes were staring at the rushing water. Her heart was hoping, she could see her fair twin.
Aluna closed her eyelids while imagining Deva and Devi's sweet smile.
Honey, when he opened his eyes, all he saw was brownish-colored rushing water.
He also did not hear the voice of Deva and Devi that he desperately longed for, except for the rushing sound of the river water.
Aluna closed her eyes again. In his heart he prayed.
O Allah, the Merciful, love my brothers. Allow me to meet, care for and make both happy.
"You must have been found," he murmured again in a closed eye condition. Her tears are spilling. "If within 1×24 hours you are never found, I promise to go down this river to pick you up," Aluna determined. His eyes are still closed.
"You're this, what the fuck!" the voice that sounded like a snarl shocked Aluna. Reflexes both of his eyes were open. The figure of the man she was completely unfamiliar with pulled her hand strong.
Aluna did not realize that a four-wheeled vehicle had been parked nearby, next to where she was standing on the edge of the bridge.
"You're the shit?" Aluna let go of the man's grip. But the grip is very strong.
Aluna was scared. He will not be a victim of harassment.
"Go you. Let go of me" cried Aluna. This time his hand managed to slip out of the man's grasp.
"Don't, if there's a problem. Love life. Life is only once. It's a waste if you kill yourself" the Korean oppa-oppa-like man continued to sniff without giving Aluna a chance to talk.
Aluna really did not understand what the man meant. However, Aluna did not want to bother. Bodo very, said Aluna heart, what I think at this time is the safety of Deva and Devi.
"Let's get out of here" the man asked.
"No. I'm not leaving here" Aluna said firmly.
"Come on, here's the danger. You can get carried away by the water."
"Well, you're interfering in the affairs of life. You have no job. Sono's gone. I can take care of myself."
"Come on, this is almost Magrib. As for you, at times like these, demons roam around. I'm afraid you are incited as they are to throw themselves in there" the man explained as he pointed towards the swift flow of the Ciliwung River.
Aluna twirled her pupils and directed her gaze slightly upwards. He started to get annoyed at the words of the man he thought were nonsense.
Aluna had heard such an explanation from her Papi and guru njai when she was a child. The man's words were right. The name according to him, the sentence is not appropriate if it is presented to himself.
"Yeah. Not sotoy. You want to be a hero of misfortune" said Aluna laughing, underestimating the man.
The man is not grinning.
"It's good that that's it. Now you better get home. It's better" said the man, wearing his mask.
"okkey. I'm going home. Just so you know, I didn't come home because I obeyed your request. I'm leaving because it's not safe here," Aluna was satisfied to pull out her teats.
"Maybe you could be more dangerous than this flood of Ciliwung," continued Aluna as she stepped away from the man.
"What do you mean?" the man asked, as if he was offended.
The man's question stopped Aluna's steps.
"I don't recognize you. Why are you suddenly here? Don't you have a bad mode!"
"Great really yes. You can see people's hearts. Where did you get your magic from?" said the man with a flat face.
After saying that sentence Aluna turned back her gaze and continued her steps.
But the steps of Aluna stopped for a moment because in front of him Papi was heading towards him. Even though Papi was wearing a mask, Aluna was sure of her stature and the clothes she was wearing, she was her father.
"Lun, where have you been? Papa has been looking for you" asked Papa.
"I'm looking for the twins around here" replied Aluna. "But baby, even met the rest of the people," continued Aluna while looking at the man.
The man could still clearly hear the conversation of the father and daughter.
"Who is he, Lun?" tanya Papa glanced at the man.
The man opened his mask and smiled. He intended not to want misunderstandings to occur as Aluna's view of him.
Papi smiled faintly. And the next focus of his attention he directed only to his beloved daughter.
"No idea, Pi. It doesn't matter" Aluna replied. "Ngapain also did that. The twins are more important. Where are they now, Pi?"
"Either that. Lun. Papa hides you because there is good news. Thank God the rescue team found the twins."
"Alhamdulilah." How happy Aluna heard the news.
"If so, let us immediately return to the evacuation. The twins are still unconscious, needing treatment."
Aluna and Papi stepped quickly on the sidewalk. The evacuation site they lived in a day ago is the Battlefield.
People affected by the flooding are many. Originally placed in the school building. During the school building pandemic is rarely used learning activities because all migrating activities so online, including learning.
But it turned out that the school building in the area of Sempur did not accommodate enough, so that some of the flood victims were evacuated to the Field of Symar.
The journey from the Bridge to the Field still takes time. If taken on foot, it will certainly be much longer than the vehicle.
As the man's vehicle passed by, the man could see Aluna and her father.
The man stopped his vehicle. He immediately opened the car.
"Sir, let me drop off" said the man.
"No need. We can still walk," replied Aluna ketus.
"Who bids you. I just took your dad?" reply the man flat.
Papi looked at the man closely. Only a fool refuses offers of help when needed, while the help he needs is in sight, he thought.
"Luna, Papi is sure he is the good man God sent for us" Papi whispered into his daughter's ear.
"Thank you very much for your offer. You came at the right time, son," Papi said with a smile.
"Come, son," said Papi, pulling Aluna's arm.
Aluna's steps were restrained. He's sculpting. After all, the truth is that only Papi was offered, he thought.
"But, wait a minute. Papi's sure?" aluna asked while holding Papi's arm.
Papi nodded. He quickly entered the vehicle whose door had opened.
After sitting neatly in front, Papi looked at Aluna who was still staring as her eyes went back and forth looking at the father and the man.
"Lun, come on. You're sitting in the back!" papi Pinta.
Papi, you don't know anyway.Well how is this, Aluna is still upset.
