VALERIE'S VISIT

My hands fumbled on the nightstand beside the bed, looking for my mobile phone that had rung earlier, disturbing the sleep. "Yes?" I asked still with my eyes closed.

"I'm in front, open the door."

I turn, my eyelids of vision as if opened forcibly, the pain immediately pierced the retina of the eye. "Val's? What time is i-." Not to mention my sentence was finished, the connection was broken. Change with a loud knock coming from the front door. Aarghs!

Six o'clock in the morning on Monday, is he crazy? I immediately got up, rushed towards the front of the house and opened the door violently. "You're disturbing my sleep you know!"

Val looked at me surprised. Her round eyes were gorgeous, her cheeks were glittering in the color of a rose, and those half-opened full lips were mouth-watering, leaving me glued to the spot. I stepped back, turned around and immediately fled into the bedroom.

After the door slammed in the back, I leaned against the leaf and felt an unusual feeling - my heart no longer throbbed but thumped tight, lips even dry. What the hell happened to me? Why did I run away? Yeah, Val's pretty now, but that doesn't mean I have any special feelings for her, does it?

For God's sake, we've been friends for seven years. If I keep feelings for her, why don't I date her and make Linda my lover?

I haven't brushed my teeth. Yeah, that's definitely why I ran away. It must be because Val fainted if it got too close to me. Moreover a reasonable reason other than that? The loud bang now moved behind my bedroom door, blowing away whatever I was thinking about right now.

"Wait for me in the living room. Watch it or something, it's better if you can cook something for me!"

"What did you say?" ask Val. I wondered if he hadn't heard the request just now or was challenging me.

"Eh, it's okay. Just wait outside." Immediately I cleaned my teeth and my body, did not forget to shave, to make it look handsome. In closing, I sprayed the perfume before stepping out.

The scent of an omelet filled the air as I opened the room door. My chest puffed up with pleasure, apparently the girl really cooked something for me.

"Terry, what are you? Son of a man you let alone a gini?" hardik mom as soon as my foot stepped on the kitchen. In his hand was a plate filled with omelettes. Ah, apparently I was expecting too much.

"Don't worry, this is like my house too, Auntie," Val said calmly.

A smile made her glow, I forgot my mother's omelet that made me drool. I want to take Val's hand now and take her for a walk right now.

Like knowing my thoughts, mother told us to eat before leaving. He said the house had been quiet for some time, and I wanted to eat with the company of others. So we ate at home. But it was fun too, mom and Val had a great conversation, and I enjoyed their chirping. Mom was right, with one extra person, this house feels like.

"Terry, I haven't seen you wink since you walked into the kitchen."

I was shocked and felt annoyed by the innuendo of mother just now, which might make my face red at this moment. If my interest in Val is so obvious, can't you just poke me and not embarrass me in front of Val?

"What the hell is mom? Look at the blink of my eyes." I blinked my eyes many times at my mother, making the two women laugh. Then after their laughter subsided, I continued, "After all, Val already has a future husband. How dare I bother him."

The mother's expression clearly showed that she did not know about the man she had been betrothed to Valerie. Don't-don't Val and his candidate have an LDR relationship, or worse! Ah no, no way. I told you, Val is better than a good man, so there's no way he's doing anything like that, but why does this awkwardness make me feel any worse?

Valerie smiled, timidly trying to explain, "He's a lame man, Auntie. Look, if we're a match, I'll definitely tell Auntie. It's not time yet."

I grabbed his hand, grasped it firmly and spontaneously forced him to reveal the identity of the mysterious man. "Tell me, Val. I helped you check the seeds. I'm afraid he's not worth it."

Spontaneity is indeed plunging, now the two women are looking at me suspiciously. "Why are you looking at me like that? Shouldn't I be worried? Val is like my own sister" I obviously defended myself, staring at them in turn.

The look on Val Tambak's face turned gloomy for a second before returning to look calm. "Yes, I just wanted to check if you still remember me." Valerie stood up, thanked mom for the simple breakfast served just now, then passed from the dining room.

Mother poked me who was still agape staring at Val's departure. "Are you just gonna stay here? Pursue him there!"

Uh, right too!

"Val, wait!" Quickly he walked, I half ran to equalize his steps in the yard. "Val, tung-."

The slender heel turned to face me suddenly and advanced step by step with a barrage of questions. "I know, ever since you got here, you've met Jaya, and then you've been with Susan a few times. Then, when are you gonna look for me? Am I no longer important? Are we no longer the best of friends we used to be?"

"No, Val, it's not like that. Okay, I'm sorry, I'll see you tomorrow, the plan." That's a lie. I did avoid it, for reasons I myself did not know what.

Valerie snatched, how I wanted to cupper her face and pull her cheek to the side to make her lips look like she was smiling. But I learned from Linda, that don't mess with a woman who's frowning, because doing that first, I got Linda's scratch on the face. Instead of doing something stupid, I tried to shift the question to another safer area.

"That's right, isn't it? You've got a candidate you didn't tell me about."

"Is that a problem? Are you going to avoid me like Susan and Jaya?" its spray. Well, I told you, a pouting woman is very dangerous.

Oh, no, now Valerie's eyes look teary. "It's not so, Val. You don't know about-."

"Well what? About Susan who likes Jaya? Or about Jaya who likes me?"

Holy hooch! He knows. I immediately pulled his hand. "Follow me."
