Chased Om Om 2
The Trap For The Stalker

I placed the photos on my study table, while Shinta observed one after another the pictures presented before her. His mouth looks open. From the look on his face I can guess that he was completely confused by this strange case I was facing.

"So ... You don't see the culprit?" I asked as if I had not said it clearly.

"You know, right …. My legs still can not be invited to cooperate," said I, again regretting the slowness of my movement.

"My conclusion is the same as yours. Obviously it's not Darren, it's not Ricky or Raka." Shinta frowned as if thinking hard. "The culprit is at school. Hmm .. This afternoon there was only basketball excul, anyway. If not them, it could be one of the teachers who has not returned home. Or …."

"Or what?" manya curious.

"There was an OSIS meeting this afternoon. Maybe not, anyway...one of the meeting participants went out to do it?"

I pursed my lips while twitching my shoulders. "Don't know. It could all be the culprit" I said.

I put my hands on the table and I put my face in it. "The more I think, the more I get dizzy, Shin."

I heard the sound of Shinta's fingers gently tapping my study table. I looked up at my best friend's face when no more words came out of her lips. His face looked serious as if he was thinking of something.

"What happens when we set up a trap?"

Shinta says his idea with gusto, as if an Archimedes with his eureka.

I'm not really sure of the plan. Trapped up? How do we trap a target we know nothing about? Wouldn't it be impossible to catch a tiger with a trap for a rabbit?

But Shinta looks so sure. I could see his confidence from his pair of shining eyes. All right, I'm not gonna mess with his beliefs. At least I should appreciate his efforts in helping me find that coward.

"Ew ... about Darren? Do you know, his family finally gave him permission to work part-time" Shjnta tweeted. "He said his family was happy with Darren's independence and maturity."

I took a long breath. This is not good news, anyway. Especially for me. What if Darren suddenly had a big head and again dared to ask for my answer to be his lover. Rejecting him means losing a friend. Accepting it is also impossible. My heart is not with him.

"It's all thanks to you, Ra," Shinta said as she patted my back. "You are the spirit of Darren. And ... I hope a compatible couple like you will be united in the end. Best friend be girlfriend."

"Gee! What the hell?" sahutku. "I'm not even comfortable if our status changes."

"You mean?"

"Ew .. I mean .. He and I are friends. I want it to go on" I said with an awkward feeling.

There's no way I'm telling Shinta that me and Om Damar have a mutual commitment. I couldn't have told her that I loved someone else. He would be very surprised to know this.

"Ra, you can imagine how much fun your life would be if you were with Darren. A lover and a friend. Plus he's the one who knows who you are the most besides me. He knows what you like and what you don't." Shinta pinched my cheek. "Trust me, you will be the happiest person in the world."

I frowned at me. "What if something bad happened? Then we broke up. Then he left. Doesn't that mean I'm gonna lose you all at once?"

The girl flicked my forehead. "Basic! Why is your mind always on negative things, anyway?"

Wonderful! Isn't that right. Why do people always think all that is beautiful without thinking about the failures that might also happen. Before everything happens, we must anticipate it.

"Ah ... Have you heard, tell me what your plan is? What traps did you make for that stalker?" I asked with curiosity.

"Actually the solution to this problem is very easy" said Shinta. "If you accept Darren's love, then the problem will be solved. That stalker will never bother you again."

I'm flicking my lips. "Not so the solution. It's called resolving a problem with a new problem" I said firmly.

Just imagine, I had to date Darren just because I avoided having a problem with the stalker. Doesn't mean I gave Darren false hope, and then when the stalker knows everything, then he'll come back to bother me. Not a solution at all!

Shinta poked her shoulders. "As far as you are. Or ... Do you have any other way?"

I bit my lips. "Well, if I use Darren at least until the school exam is a few months away, then the problem will be solved" my inner self. "Should I try?"

"Rb …." Shinta moved her palm in front of my face.

"Eew …. Think about it, Shin. I don't want Darren to get hurt because of me" I said without being able to make a decision.

Of course I can't be selfish. I also had to think about Darren's feelings if I wanted to be his girlfriend, just because I was avoiding a stalker. Just crazy! I could imagine if it was me. And someone I like, using me. Isha! Amit-amit, yes. Don't get.

After Shinta came home, I was still sitting unmoved from my study table. I looked at one photo after another over it. I looked carefully, hoping that there was something hint left on the glossy paper.

Suddenly my vision was fixed on a shadow on a window. A shadow of a student! I looked back carefully at the other photos. Of course to find a clue left in it.

If only there were another reflection, a shadow that looked the same, it might be the answer. An answer to the riddle that tormented me this past week. But what I was hoping for was nowhere to be seen. Other photos do not show any shadows or reflections at all. It was like being at a dead end.

Ah – already!

I left my study table and laid my body on my bed. Anyway, I need to get some rest so that tomorrow I can go to school with a fresh body.

It didn't take long to fall asleep in my sleep. Even time seems to be spinning quickly and suddenly the day has changed.

That morning I felt someone was stalking me. I intentionally ignored it. After all, he would not dare to do anything in a crowd like this.

I let out a long sigh, buried deep in my fear and continued walking down the sidewalk towards my school.

"No! No. .. I can't overthink. It could have been that he had indeed lived in this area and happened to be leaving at the same hour," I thought. I tried to shake off all the negativity I was thinking.

"Run!"
