Chapters. 42 - Dinner II Time

"Curtain! How many are there?!" Yun Qing asked who had already been seen starting to get exhausted from fighting the countless ghost army since just now.

The atmosphere inside the forest at night, turned into a very gripping atmosphere! With a fight between hundreds of ghost troops and four Cultivators, making the atmosphere of the night feel very long than usual. At the very least, they had stood on top of the hundreds of ghost troops that were already out of form. They were all destroyed from getting the big wind attack of Yun Qing and some were charred from receiving the swing of the sword belonging to Jiao Biao who was at level seven Master.

That black shadow continued to move swiftly killing a portion of the ghosts that were in front of them however, he let his guard down a little when he was about to kill a ghost general who had a height of five times that of a human!

As he walked nearby, the ghost of the general instantly swung his sword which caused a spark big enough to tear a small part of Gu Qiaomei's long clothes.

Seeing that there was a sign of danger, he immediately dodged her and returned to his original place, standing next to Yun Qing who seemed to have been extremely exhausted.

"They won't be inexhaustible until someone seals back the Dao Xun valley that became a nest for them!" Said Yun Qing while preparing to attack using his folding fan.

"For me, the others don't matter. However, up ahead they have the ghost of a general who is very difficult to defeat. His body was as hard as a rock so, even a sword would not be able to kill him." Gu Qiaomei replied as he looked towards the ghost of the general in front of him.

"Perhaps if we find someone who can bring out the lightning element, it will definitely make it easier for us to kill him. But, it seems like everyone here is also in the same state. These guys, really greedy ghosts!" Yun Qing said back while wiping the blood that was under his lips.

Not long after the two finished talking, suddenly the ghost of the general in front of them again carried out a second attack. He dashed towards them while raising his sword up high before he finally dropped it right above Gu Qiaomei's head!

Seeing the attack that would probably kill him in an instant, Gu Qiaomei instantly just moved quickly and dodged the general's ghost sword that seemed to crave his head and set aside his bones.

It was the second attack carried out by the ghost of the general however, Gu Qiaomei had not retaliated at all yet. And this time, he finally began to get serious by putting a hardening spell on his sword so as not to be destroyed when he was trying to dismember the ghost's body.

”A huge power! Where did it come from?!” inner Gu Qiaomei while covering both his eyes with his right arm due to such a glaring light and torturing his vision.

And not long after the light had disappeared, a white shadow held the hand of a child smaller than him, appearing between them and this fellow had also killed most of the ghosts who were trying to attack the Sect disciples.

After these two people appeared, in an instant the ghosts that had previously been flocking against them, suddenly fell down as if they were being overwritten by an enormous force energy. They all fell without anyone touching them at all and things could finally go back to how they were.

The arrival of Zhao Bingyan and Mu Chen Xiao, truly shocked those who had previously fought hard against the ghosts that were inexhaustible. They thought, 'What made these ghosts fall in an instant?' and this question was finally answered when these ghostly ghosts turned into flying ashes.

"I did it of course." Said Shang Ren who was suddenly behind them and now he was walking towards the two of them.

Shang Ren had an ability equal to hundreds of elite troops. It is only fitting that he can do it so easily. Then, if he could actually kill them in just a blink of an eye, why did he not appear since earlier and instead appear together with the arrival of Zhao Bingyan and Mu Chen Xiao.

”This guy?! Why does it feel like he is following me all the time?!” inner Mu Chen Xiao was deeply distrustful of what he was currently seeing.

Zhao Bingyan faced towards Shang Ren and said after he saluted him, "Thank you that Master has helped."

Seeing the situation as it was, Li Zhu was astonished and finally approached Zhao Bingyan and said after she greeted him, "Thank you so much for helping us here."

Zhao Bingyan immediately replied, "It wasn't me but, it was Master Shang Ren who did it."

Li Zhu was stunned and immediately glanced towards Shang Ren before he looked back at Zhao Bingyan, "But, still you have killed the ghost of the General earlier. He's the hardest to beat." Said Li Zhu once more.

Zhao Bingyan was silent for a while before she again said, "Then be fine. Thank you also to the great Master Shang Ren who was there." He said as he pointed towards Shang Ren who was not far from him. However, he instead regretted it when he pointed towards Shang Ren who was there. He was surprised to see Mu Chen Xiao who was currently standing opposite him without being known by him when he walked there. ”Eh? When did he step there? Didn't I hold it?” inner Zhao Bingyan.

While Mu Chen Xiao showed a sullen expression to him, Shang Ren instead showed a blank and confused expression as to why Mu Chen Xiao was looking at him like that. "Do you have a problem?" Shang Ren asked who was astonished when he saw her.

"Great teacher Shang Ren has any problem with me to the point of continuing to follow me like this?!” asked Mu Chen Xiao who was still nurturing his expression at this moment.

"You think I keep following you?" His words which were then not long after he seemed to be holding back his laughter because he saw Mu Chen Xiao who had been mistaken for him. "You seem to have misunderstood. Didn't I tell you I was busy looking for His Majesty?"

"Then, what about what happened in the city? I saw you sitting alone in one of the drinking houses when I was being chased by dogs?!"

Shang Ren averted his gaze before replying, "I was resting for a while there. Am I wrong to rest at your place?"

”What kind of coincidence is this? He should have been able to sense Yan Fengying's spiritual power in order to look for her. But why did he even go here?” inner Mu Chen Xiao who was staring in wonder at him.

Not long after, Shang Ren then glanced towards the ground that Mu Chen Xiao was treading on. He felt strange about the ground because he had seen a light tremor happening underneath.

Feeling that something was strange, Shang Ren finally pushed hard Mu Chen Xiao to the point of being thrown backwards and sure enough, beneath his feet was already a swarm of ghosts that would eat him from within the ground. The ghosts showed his head while opening his mouth wide.

However, before Shang Ren killed the swarm of ghosts that were under his feet, when he pushed Mu Chen Xiao backwards, he said, suddenly a mouth appeared from within the ground that instantly engulfed Mu Chen Xiao alive without being noticed by him at all!

In an instant, Mu Chen Xiao was swallowed by the huge mouth and instantly, the enemies disappeared from their sight including the ghosts that had previously been hiding inside the ground!
