Mila, Nayra and Irene both ran into the bookstore. They can't wait to hunt for the book in the shop. Although delayed due to yesterday's incident, today they are still lucky because the promotion was extended to this day. They were so enthusiastic looking for books, running from one shelf to another, even Nayra to break through some people in front of her, to make people around her feel annoyed. Mila headed for the fantasy bookshelf and was busy searching for the book she wanted, observing one by one the books before her carefully.
"I found it" cried Mila excitedly as she found her favorite novel. Nayra and Irene immediately approached him.
"Awaken? what story is this? " irene said as she watched the book that Mila was holding.
"It's my favorite novel, it's the continuation of Abandon and Underworld" Mila replied excitedly. "Work of Meg Cabot" he continued.
"It wasn't this novel long ago? " said Nayra while taking the novel out of Mila's hand, then flipping through it.
"Yes, but I just read until the second book, I've been aiming for this book for a long time" Mila replied and then took the novel back from Nayra's hands, as if afraid of losing. Mila goes to the cashier to pay for her book, which Irene and Nayra follow.
"I don't understand why she likes fantasy books so much" Nayra complained as she walked after her best friend from behind.
The queue is quite long, this is because many visitors come to this store because the promotion ends today. Everyone stood with the books in their hands.
After waiting in line and paying for the book, Mila and her two best friends chose to go home because the clock had shown at 16:45, so busy hunting their books until they forgot the time, even Irene had been on her knees on the phone with her driver asking when she would be coming home. After Irene returned home with her driver, Nayra and Mila immediately headed to the parking lot where the bike was. As usual, Nayra drove Mila back, then went home.
"Daa." exclaimed Mila as soon as she got off Nayra's bike. "Be careful" he continued, waving his hand at Nayra, until Nayra completely disappeared from his sight and he entered. Mila walked into the parlour with a big smile on her lips, she was so happy because she had gotten her favorite novel, and could not wait to read it.
"Mother... Mila came home" she cried as soon as she entered the parlor.
"Where have you been" snapped by someone who surprised Mila. Mila was speechless looking at Akbar who was leisurely sitting sweetly on the living room sofa while looking at her with an irritating look to Mila.
"Why are you here? " said Mila with a frown.
"Waiting for you, what else?" he relaxed and moved closer to Mila.
"waiting me? "
"Hmm.." looked at the book that Mila was in hand with, then picked it up. "Awaken? what novel is this? "
"This is my favorite novel" he replied and immediately snatched the novel from Akbar's hands.
"Mila, you've come home" said Mother Rita who suddenly came to them.
"Yes mother"
"Replace your uniform and take a shower, then we have dinner together with son Akbar, he's been waiting for you from a few hours ago" Rita's mother said gently.
"Why wait for me, I did not invite him" replied Mila who immediately got a pinch in her arm from Rita's mother. "Aww.sakit mother " complained Mila while pressing the part of her arm affected by the pinching mother Rita.
"Who taught you like that, you have to be polite with guests, especially this Akbar son is your guest" said Rita's mother with an annoyed look at Mila.
"What guests" said Mila slowly but still clearly heard in the ears of Akbar and Rita's mother. Akbar smiled at Mila's words, while Rita's mother immediately looked at him with round eyes ready to pounce, seeing that Mila immediately rushed into her room. Arriving in Mila's room put the bag and novel she just got in the bookstore earlier. Actually Mila wanted to read the novel immediately, but she abandoned her intention, because Rita's mother would have scolded her if she did not immediately arrive at the dinner table together, for dinner, plus with the presence of Akbar that makes it have to be faster out of his room.
"Why is there Akbar, why else would he? It sucks.and I can't wait to read it" while stroking the novel. Mila rushed to the bathroom to clean her sticky body from all day sweat. It did not take long, Mila was finished bathing and wearing house clothes. He is busy in front of the mirror.
Tok...
The door opened, and Mona stood on the doorstep.
"Sister, mother and father have been waiting, brother Akbar is also hungry, why brother for so long" said Mona with a sullen face.
"Sister is done soon, you go first" he replied without looking at Mona.
"Well, "and then Mona went back to the dinner table. Mila combed her hair and applied a thin powder on her face. When she finished, Mila smiled to see her reflection reflected.
"Why do I feel happy like this" shook his head. "There's no way I'm happy because he's, no. No, I'm glad I got my favorite novel" trying to get Akbar out of his mind.
Mila came out of her room and headed towards the dining table. There all the orphanage children have gathered together as well as Mother Rita and Pak Dedi who sit next to each other, while Akbar is beside Mona.
"So why so long" Mona complained as soon as she saw Mila.
"Sorry to keep you waiting" and then sit on the empty seat on Mona's right side.
"Other times you don't have to dress up, just to eat why you have to dress up, we have to wait a long time" said Mona, who made Mr. Dedi and Akbar laugh.
"Mona.. brother does not dress up, sister just takes a bath" Mila replied with a shame because Akbar joined in laughing at her.
"If you don't dress up why you wear thick powder" continued the other child again.
"It's not thick, just a little powder" while holding both cheeks.
"What's because there's Akbar?" said another one. "Ciee.. cieee. "the cheers of the children that made Mila's face flushed held in shame, while Akbar smiled looking at Mila who lowered her gaze.
"Already, we should immediately eat, the food will be cold" said Mr. Dedi calming. "Mona, you lead the prayer yes". Mona nodded and began to recite prayers. They ate together without anyone to say a sound, only the occasional sound of the dishes was heard.
Finish eating children leave the dining table after previously composing their respective plates. Mila helped Mother Rita clean the dining table, finished it then she found Akbar who is now on the front porch sitting and chatting with Mr. Dedi, who was on the front porch, but as soon as Mila came, Mr. Dedi also moved from his seat.
Mila nodded, then sat down next to Akbar after Mr. Dedi actually went inside. Akbar watched Mila who was now sitting next to him, he shifted his body slightly to get closer to Mila, suddenly it made Mila surprised.
"Why are you? " snaps Mila while distancing her body.
"No, I just want to look at the thick powder on your face" teased Akbar with a smile that as usual flaunted his dimples. Mila did not reply, but gave Akbar a sharp look and turned his face away.
"Where are you going? I went to your class, but Ifan said, you and your friends have gone home" this time with serious faces.
"To the bookstore" he answered briefly.
"Then? "
"Then what?" mila replied with a throttling of her forehead.
"Where else ?"
"Nothing, we're just going to the bookstore"
"During that time to the bookstore ?" akbar replied as if he did not believe Mila's answer.
"Yes, we just went to the bookstore, finished it we went straight home, we didn't go anywhere after that" Mila replied beginning to raise her voice. "Wait..why should I explain it to you" began to annoy himself with his explanation. "As much as you believe it or not, I don't care" then turned his face back to see the indiscretion of direction. Akbar smiled again at Mila's behavior which he felt was very funny.
"I believe" Akbar replied
"I don't care" without looking at Akbar.
"alright... "
A moment of silence without any chatter between the two of them. Akbar continued to look at Mila, while Mila still did not want to see him.
"Why did you come here ?" mila said he started the conversation.
"Self" he replied casually
"I'm serious Akbar" this time ventured to look at Akbar.
"I'm serious too, I came here because I wanted to...". Mila was visibly irritated by Akbar's reply. "Look at you" he continued. Mila was smiling at Akbar's response.
"How are you?" akbar said with his soft voice.
Mila did not immediately reply, she momentarily looked at Akbar's eyes, then lowered her gaze. "I'm fine" he replied later.
"Mila.that day I left you in the parking lot, I'm sorry for that" he said sincerely and felt really guilty.
"It's okay, I've forgotten it too"
"Oh yes, meaning from tomorrow you will come home with me again" directly make your own deal.
"Who do I want ?" looking at Akbar cynically. "I won't go home with you anymore"
"Okay, tomorrow I'll pick you up for class" he said casually and then moved on from his seat. "I want to go home" he continued.
"I don't want to go home with you" Mila replied, moving away from her seat.
"I'm not taking you, I'm going to go home alone" he replied, wearing his jacket.
"Not now, I mean tomorrow after school" began to get upset and raise his voice.
"Please your voice" Akbar scolded. "Don't whine like that, tomorrow I'll pick you up as soon as the bell rings"
"Who is whining" Mila argued, he was increasingly upset because of Akbar's arbitrary attitude.
"I want to say goodbye to your Mother and Mr. Dedi" he said without caring about Mila who memeloti. Akbar went into the house and said goodbye to Mother Rita and Pak Dedi, finished saying goodbye Akbar back to meet Mila who was still standing in his place.
"Come on Mila, tomorrow I'll pick you up for class" Mila said, but she nodded her head. Akbar smiled. "Alright, I'm home" then Akbar got on his bike, then drove away from the home, Mila stared at Akbar's departure, after disappearing from her sight, she just realized something.
"What?..So I nodded my head, meaning I agreed to dong go home with him, jeez Mila...what's wrong with you" muttered Mila while hitting her head.
