Bride Shadow

Bride Shadow
One frame

Grandfather Hans's old face was instantly grim. When the Eagle returned to Indonesia on the grounds of Maria's illness, the old man thought that Abi was the one who asked their only child to go home using Maria. The eagle is their only successor. Both Abi and Maria are not in good health. But it turns out...Her eldest daughter was really sick. Similar mom.

If it was someone else who broke the news, maybe Hans' grandfather wouldn't believe it, but now the Eagle said it. He knew his grandson would never lie.

"Then why didn't you tell Grandpa?"

"Grandfather never asked about mama's news" replied the naive Eagle.

"Not asking does not mean this old man does not want to know. You brash grandson!" The eagle only resigned to hear the curse of the grandfather who even tended to look worried rather than angry.

"Did you want to talk to your mom?" Actually the Eagle hesitated to ask. He knows the bad relationship that happened between Hans' grandfather, his father and his mother. When visiting him in London, his parents chose to stay in the hotel rather than come to his opanya house. Mary and Abi were afraid they would not be accepted. Maria's expulsion still leaves trauma for the couple. Across there, Hans' grandfather looks lame.

"Your mother won't even call her father. Is it possible that your irresponsible father forbade her to call me?" rto Hans' grandfather was upset. From the past until now, Abilah who he fenced off the rift between Maria and her family. After all, Mary was his eldest child, the great hope he had placed on his shoulder. But in fact hope remains hope, Maria disappointed herself.

"Don't accuse without cause of opa, Eagle saw for himself how every day papa reminded mama to call grandfather, but mama always refused." What the Eagle says is honesty. It was her mother who insisted on not wanting to contact her father first.

"Opa...until when will this enmity take place? Your daughter, Maria, my mother too.she is suffering from a deadly disease. What opa doesn't want to see or contact mama at all?" Grandfather Hans remained silent in his mind.

"Opa.s.sorry if I tell you this. But I was also in the position of mama and papa now. I chose to follow opa and leave them because of the hardness of my heart. Opa tau, every year my mom and dad come to me. Not always the young must succumb, nor is it forever that the old must wait. Life is only once opa.why do we have to get stuck on the ego and rules made by who? I just hope you open the door sorry for my mom and dad." Hans was still silent, making the Eagle know that his grandfather really needed time to do it. All he could do was wait.

"If opa still wants to think..."

"Give her phone to Maria" she said firmly there. Want it to feel Eagle cheered happily when opa Hans said that sentence even though it was still in a gameless tone. She nodded and went straight down the stairs to her mother's room which had just been stopped.

'may you have not slept.' His mind continues to pray. For him mempermukan opa and mama in one frame even though in a cell phone camera is a rare occurrence. It is his duty as a child to do so.

Tok.dok...

"Lho...Lang, what's wrong?" ask Papa Abi in the open doorway. Looks like the papa who just came home because he has not had time to change clothes. His sharp eyes pointed at the Eagle's phone which was still in call mode.

"Mama's still awake?"

"Yes. You want to meet? come inside." Abi widened the door of the room so that his son could go inside. The eagle walked quickly to the bed and gave his cell phone to Maria who was still sitting leaning on the headboard.

"Papa.." whispered Mary with tears falling down her cheeks. Thirty more years they did not meet, a long span of time for a father and son relationship. Unknowingly Maria felt the phone screen, as if the fingers were touching the face of the father far away. It would be a lie if he didn't miss the old man. For a daughter, a father is her first love.

"Ba...how's papa doing?" ask her with a trembling voice.

"Your father is not well, son. Mary's home." a hoarse voice holding back a cry rang out from the lips of Hans opa who continued to wipe her tears.

"I'm sorry papa, but I've become someone's wife. My paradise is on my husband's ridho, pa. Later if my husband lets me go there to see papa." Abi took a long breath. He who only listened to the interaction of the father and son approached his wife and held her other hand and gave a soft kiss there.

"Darling.if you want to meet Mr. Hans then I'll let you in whenever you want. Don't make me a tyrannical husband for forbidding his wife to meet his father. The eagle will take you tomorrow." whispered very slowly so as not to be heard by Hans' snicker. But Abi was wrong. Their room was too quiet that a slight sound could be heard.

"But..."

"Nothing but. Meet your father as soon as possible, apologize to Mr. Hans and return to my side Maria.." this time Abi sniffled. The ball of his eyes reddened.

"Tomorrow the Eagle will take you to the grandfather's house." cut the Eagle when he realized his father could no longer continue his words.

"Where is Abhimanyu?" the voice across there blared making the entire room flinch. Grandpa Hans seemed to let out all his voice to say Abi's name. Abi grabbed the phone with a shaking hand.

"This is my Abhimanyu Mr. Hans."

"Do you know what your mistake was?" asked grandfather Hans with sharp eyes. Abi nodded.

"I'm forgiving who already.hammed Mary and kept her apart from you. I also neglected to look after your daughter until Maria suffered....."

"It's not all your fault, baby. You've been the best husband to me. Didn't you say that life, death, and fortune are the things of Allah?" Maria still sniffled. This is what he was afraid of. Her husband would be blamed if anything happened to her. But Abi has tried very hard to change his life and make him happy.

"Remain Abhimanyu the wrong Mary!"

"No pa, don't get me wrong." said Maria.

"Nobody misunderstood. Abhimanyu remains guilty. He kept your pain a secret from his parents. After that, I won't take you home. Why isn't he the only one who brought you here? has he ever visited this old man? as bad as I am, am I not his father-in-law? what kind of daughter-in-law calls her in-laws with the word master? very disrespectful. Abhimanyu, I don't want to know. Tomorrow take your wife back to her papa's house! It's an order and don't try to ignore it or I'll take my son back from you."

"Father.." Mary's voice was stuck in her throat.

"Darling.go home with your husband. Papa's waiting for you."
