Mitha still lowered her face avoiding the shady gaze of Andra who was sitting right in front of her. His hand stirred the drink that a waitress had just brought to their table.
"Mithin..."
"yes." yeah."
"Look at me." slowly, Mitha turned her head, sat with Andra who first smiled sweetly at her. The young man's hand clasped his fingers.
"Are you happy with your marriage?" mitha's heart was pinched because of that low-pitched question.
"Where do you know Ndra?" of course he was surprised from where Andra knew about the wedding that was held suddenly and only attended by his close neighbors. His college friends and workmen also no one knows except for Zahra and Gea, it is also impossible if the two friends tell anyone because they really understand Mitha's strange position.
"Of course from Abi." answered Andra while taking a deep breath.
"Papa? you met papa?"
"Yes. Yesterday I went to your house and met your father and brother."
"Sister?"
"Yes. Brother Eagle."
"Did he say something?" mitha wanted to know. Andra shook her head.
"She just said you lived in Bian's house." Back the pain stabbed his heart, making his chest ache instantly. It turned out that the Eagle did not want to acknowledge him as his wife at all. Ironical.
"I'm boarding near Zahra" he answered honestly. Not to look good in front of Andra, but she just wants some slander between herself and Bian, the person she already considers her brother to be. The duties and obligations that should have been given to Eagle as his real brother, even now he is her husband.
"o." Mitha sucked her drink. He was not at all surprised by Andra's reaction which was only oh ria. They grew up together until Mitha had memorized the character and behavior of Andra. How not to memorize? Andra had even been friends with him from Kindergarten.
"Are you and your husband.I'm afraid that Bian's brother is okay?" Bian's? her husband? must be the Eagle who spread this untrue story to Andra to make her ex-boyfriend know if Bianlah Mitha's husband, not her.
"Sorry Ndra, this is my household matter."
"Mith, I know you well. Looking at your situation now I know you're not happy. I know you and Bian only respect each other, not love. I know if you just want to avoid me."Andra again knocked with sympathy but ignored because of Mitha's closed attitude. Perhaps it is better if Andra or anyone knows if Bianlah her husband so that he is not too embarrassed or hurt because of the treatment of Eagle on him.
"That's not why I married Ndra. I really want to wait for you too. But.forgive me." Mitha could not continue her words at all. Her tears wet her cheeks first. Andra.she's her first love. It was a lie if he did not lose, let alone the young man looking at him so deeply with the same pain.
"I know it's Mith. Come back to me if you're not happy. I will always be at the end there waiting for you, whatever your status will be."
Suddenly his phone rang. There's Abi's name there. Andra gave her a code to pick up her phone.
"Hallo papa's..."
"Mitha still in pa's cafe. Why didn't you come first if you wanted to come? begin so? Mitha went home, wait...."
"No need. Shrelock aja, let papa get there." break up abi later. Actually, she had no plans to visit her daughter that night because she knew Mitha would still be on her way home in that hour. But when passing through the egg martabak kiosk, he immediately remembered Mitha. The youngest daughter is a fan of egg martabak. Abi decided to stop by and buy it for Mitha.
"Okay, we're near the hostel. Not far away." timpal Mitha while sharing his current location through the green color application.
"We?"
"Yes. I'm the same with Andra pa." explained Mitha again. His father simply agreed and rushed there.
Andra is not someone else in the Abhimanyu family. They knew the young man as well as his entire family because they had been close neighbors. A few years when their family decided to move to the house of their elderly parents, their family still established their relationship. Andra and Mitha are no exception. Abi also knew that his little daughter was in a relationship with Andra. A close relationship before Maria finds out and tries to subtly separate the two of them in order to marry their son, Eagle, to Paramitha.
"Om Abi want to come here, Mith?" Andra who was there of course knew what they were talking about without the intention of eavesdropping.
"yes, I've sharedlock with Ndra. Ntar again must have arrived." and Andra only ooo ria.
"That's it papa!" cry little Mitha while standing up from her seat. The girl immediately ran over and hugged her papa. Long enough they hugged until Abi took Mitha to his car.
"Ndra, I went to papa first ya." said Mitha to Andra who joined the roar and greeted Abi. The young man smiled kindly and then said. He knew the boy's father needed space to talk to each other.
Mitha immediately followed her papa to the car parked on the left side of the cafe.
"How's mommy doing?"
"Mama always asks you." Mitha's heart was so sliced by it. How much he missed his mother. He could not bear to hear the woman who had been so good to him miss him.
"Mitha also missed mama pa very much." this time Mitha really sobbed. The shadow of the mother appeared in his eyes. He should be the one who cares for and accompanies his mother post-surgery, when his condition is still vulnerable and needs attention.
"Next week my mom and dad are going to Singapore for therapy. Before that papa will try to take you home."
"No pa, the Eagle's brother will be angry."
"Elang? angry that there was nothing he could do. Papa just kept quiet because he thought about your mama's condition. I'll teach him a lesson later, son."
"It doesn't need to be pa, anyways Mitha is used to being independent really." Mitha tried to smile to convince her father. Returning to the house is not the same as making the Eagle hate himself and his papa. Moreover, Eagle once said that he was the bastard son of his father. Wouldn't it be better if he was outside? his father still always transfers money for him.
"You're Mith's husband and wife. It is not good to keep separating the house. Like it doesn't like the Eagle has to learn to accept his new status."
"But don't worry Mith, soon papa will bring you back home and resuscitate the Eagle." continued Abi again while stroking his head gently.
