Boyz Chase: The Mystery of Saranjana City
06. Deadly Poison

Narendra sped up the steps to climb the stairs to get to the laboratory immediately. On the way there, many children looked in wonder at him. Because Narendra's current position was walking while talking to himself with a glass containing half tea in his grasp.

“Gue should immediately find out about the content in this tea. What poison can kill him in a matter of even arguably fast, just 1 hour?” he murmured while still enlarging his footsteps.

Shortly after he reached the front of the lab, Narendra opened the door with no hesitation and immediately ran to snatch the white suit of the laboratory just a few minutes ago he hung in his place.

Narendra quickly took all the tools he needed, ranging from pasteur pipettes, glass preparations, and did not forget his favorite microscope. Narendra immediately took the tea in a glass with a pasteur pipette, then dropped some on the glass preparation. Afterwards he observed the tea liquid under his microscope.

After a few minutes of observing and recording the content contained in the tea in a piece of paper next to it, suddenly Narendra's phone rang. When he saw it, there was a call coming in from Eric.

Narendra swiftly picked up his phone and moved away briefly from his practice desk.

“Halo, Ric? How?”

“Yes you and the other police have returned earlier after finishing TKP. Now I want to go to Arashya's place with Jevan, you come?”

“You want to come with me, just this is my research just as the tea liquid was not finished,” replied Narendra while glancing at the practice table behind him.

“Maybe you are confused by the name of the poison, but there may be some facts that I can give you to speed up your research.”

Narendra bent both eyebrows because he was confused by Eric's words.

“Means you?” tanyakanya.

“Gue already in front of the lab, can you get out? I felt like something was wrong in that room. Maybe the e-mail sender ngawasin us.”

Narendra now shuddered in horror at hearing Eric's words. If it is true they are monitored by the sender of the e-mail, it could be that their privacy can all be revealed just like that.

“OK, now I'm out,” said Narendra final then tidied up his tools and pocketed the sheet of paper that he scrawled when he saw the reaction of the substance that came from the tea earlier.

Narendra walked quietly and opened the laboratory door, then exited immediately. There was Eric waiting for him while staring at the basketball court where Jevan and Arashya were training.

“What do you get, Na?” eric looked back at Narendra.

The one asked just looked down disappointed, “gue was not able to and record all the reactions that occurred from the mixture of chemicals in the tea,” he replied softly.

He stepped up and stood in line with Eric, “oh yes, earlier you said that there are some facts that you can give to accelerate my research. What facts are you?” ask Narendra.

Eric smiled faintly then stepped closer to the stairs to get down without wanting to answer the question that was thrown just now. Narendra is quite confused by Eric's sudden movements and leaves him with no answer. However, after that he immediately followed Eric who was already on the 1st floor.

Eric took a quick glance as Narendra was already walking next to him. “She didn't die just because of the tea,” said Eric who again made Narendra surprised instead of playing.

“So? If it is not just tea, chances are there are some foods or drinks that he consumes and contain the deadly poison?” ask Narendra in disbelief.

“Iya. The dose was increased today along with the tea, and yes according to the killer's estimate that the target will die today,” Eric replied as he nodded slowly.

“But, Renan had said that Harris brought Kak Denandra tea, right? Can he be on our suspect list?” ask Narendra who is focused on seeing the game of Jevan and Arashya because they are both now standing on the edge of the field.

“For suspect problems can be, but I ask your father for time so we can solve this ourselves. I also find it strange why our friend wants to kill people like that? It doesn't make sense that my word and I won't be that easy to believe.” Eric spoke sternly but there was a slanted smile extended out in a flash on his face. He then ran over to Jevan and Arashya who had pulled over to rest.

Eric's movement was finally followed by Narendra who managed to make Arashya and Jevan frowned in astonishment because of the sudden arrival of the two people.

“There was another case of death, just now Narendra's father went to bring his body.” Eric immediately told the core of the problem when Arashya was drinking water that ended up gushing Narendra's face in front of him.

“OATH! This I just came even sprayed. Arashya, I'm not in a trance why do you spray me like a shaman?!” Narendra yelled a little out of annoyance at Arashya's treatment he got.

It was immediately inviting laughter from the twin brothers. Even Jevan laughed so hard that his eyes were nowhere to be seen.

“Haha, okay okay.” Jevan said as he ended his laughter, “so, this time who died?” her question focused on the information that the younger brother had just given her.

“Sister Denandra who died,” answered Narendra while wiping his face roughly.

Again Jevan and Arashya were surprised not to play. Though only a few hours ago they were together to help lift Denandra Kak to be immediately handled by PMR at the school health clinic. Why was he suddenly declared dead?

“Ah who really aja both of you, just earlier we who brought him to the health clinic, the time of death anyway? Naren also said that he fainted, right?” asked Arashya who looked very incredulous.

Eric massaged the base of his nose slowly because he felt dizzy. “Gue lembangin. So, just after we brought him to the clinic, a while later he realized—“

“Tuh, it said already aware, continue why can now die?” sela Jevan while wiping her sweat.

“Shut up! Don’t speak and listen to me!” snaps Eric coldly in English. The others became afraid to look at him and nodded quickly, hinting for Eric to continue his words.

“Renan testified that Harris brought Kak Denandra a glass of tea when she regained consciousness. An hour after drinking the tea, the effect was just felt and that's what made him die,” continued Eric ended the story.

Arashya raises next to her eyebrows, “effect? You mean there's a mixture of something in that tea?” tanyanya's confused.

Eric and Narendra nodded in unison. “Yes, there's poison in that tea. I had time to check in the lab and only this substance was newly detected,” replied Narendra reached into his pocket and pulled out the folds of his paper notes earlier.

“What poison is that powerful the effect? Means about 1 hour after drinking that tea he died?” Jevan asked now.

Narendra nodded again, “for the poison I don't know yet. Eric said he would tell me some facts that might speed up my research. Unfortunately, until now he has not said anything,” he replied glancing at Eric who looks smiling.

The three reflexively turned to Eric who was showing his slanted smile and made a mysterious impression on him.

“There are some facts that I have, but before that I want it to be the same you both, Arashya and Jevan,” said Eric who switched to staring at the two intensely.

“Since when did you both realize that Denandra's sister looked pale? I know that you two are good observers and have a good long-term memory,” continued Eric.

The name is called looking at each other. “Gue feels it's been about 3 days lately Kak Denandra looks pale and her body temperature is hot. Just from yesterday-yesterday the fever was not as bad as it was when he fainted,” reply Arashya representing Jevan.

“In addition to pale looking skin and face, what else do you remember at the same time?” ask Eric again.

Jevan raised his hand, “he often complains of headaches. Sometimes the head is on the right side, or the back. Anyway not far from the word migraine,” replied Jevan clarify.

“OK, from here are some facts and conclusions I can take.” Eric suddenly walked to the middle of the field and stood at one point.

“Sister Denandra ga died just because the mixture in the tea was doang. The few days you see him pale, it's all the effects of his poison. He died today because his dose of poison was increased and that's what made him die,” Eric smiled.

Narendra tilted his head wondering. “Continue headaches same victims?” tanyanya.

Eric widened his smile even more, “it affects his health. He often felt dizzy and had a loss. So according to you, Na. What poison can make the victim die in a matter of a few days due to the dosage game and can cause loss?” ask Eric.

Narendra thought for a moment and finally snapped his finger, “gue knows! Polonium!” narendra exclaimed as he remembered by that name.

“Continue to the culprit?” ask Jevan and Arashya at the same time.

There was no answer for them, but Eric looked up at the 2nd floor. It was also followed by the other three young men and made them quite surprised to see someone looking at them from there.

“It was, right..? Harris?” arashya said stammered and the person they saw immediately left when they all realized his presence there.
