Between Me, You, And That Baby

Between Me, You, And That Baby
Ep. 45

EDRIC POV

“What?? Stella kidnapped??” shouts surprised.

This is not what I wanted to hear when I entered Aqilla's room, which was somehow wide open.

Uncle Aqilla the Inspector John said Stella would be fine, why now I hear the opposite.

“Edric” called Aqulla, he pulled me closer before finally thrusting a message, which turned out to be written in Indonesian.

As long as you're quiet, though,

then we silenced your friend

who loves this food

– K

I was shocked by the message. It seems like Stella was kidnapped when she saw a tray containing Stella's favorite food placed on the table there.

“Then I swear I will keep my mouth shut, as long as they return Stella” Aqilla said in a sad tone. He even bit his lips, which he sometimes does when trying to hold back a cry.

“I'll actually be absent from trial” back Aqilla said her promise, which made me unable to say anything. What exactly is in the mind of the criminal, to make my two friends experience this distress.

“Don't be silly Aqilla, it's not your fault Stella was kidnapped. It's just that they're too evil” my wrath is upset.

“Do not worry my nephew. We're trying to save him. We got hints” by uncle John.

“You listen, what your uncle said” said I calmed him down.

“But Ed...” says Aqilla hesitate.

“That's why you have to testify. If they hurt our Stella, then you're gonna have to drag them to rot in jail. Understand!!” my words were firm which Aqilla replied with a nod.

“Actually, the trial will likely not be conducted Aqilla” all turned their heads towards the man. Uh who is he??

“Oh, I haven't said yes, I'm Aqilla's cousin. My name is Jerome” it looks like he saw a question mark on my face. That's why he introduced himself.

“Eh my cousin?” it seemed that Aqilla did not know him before, just as she did not know the whereabouts of her uncle before.

Lest Aqilla's conjecture come true. Somehow, it could be a potential husband who is not known will appear and admit it.

“Her mother Jerome is the oldest, following her mother Aqilla. I was born ten years later” his uncle Aqilla briefly explained his family genealogy.

“Oya, how did you get here Edric?” ask my brother later,

“Why do you come to his room Aqilla nights?”

For a moment my brother's question shifted the subject, though,

“That's because the receptionist called my room. Said my brother just kissed a woman hot. I don't know why he called me at night to gossip” my protest was upset.

I had to question the receptionist's motives until I called for the latest gossip. Do I look like a gossip guy?? Ishh…

“Oya, why can't the trial be done??” ask me to return the topic.

“Madam Kim just reported about Aqilla two hours after the incident to uncle John. That's why they have time to obliterate his cousin Aqilla's corolla.

“Without proof, the trial process cannot be run. How can we file a murder lawsuit if the body that was allegedly killed does not exist?? They set fire to the scene, so that evidence of the murder had been flattened into ashes. No blood-soaked walls can be proven to use lumniol. Moreover, the bodies of his father and uncles Aqilla, somehow they hide it”

“Why did they get rid of the body?? They could have been considered dead by fire. After all, nothing seems to be able to prove that the fires were intentional rather than negligence right??” I'm debating Jerome.

“Actually the criminal is smart enough to put an ashtray full of cigarette butts near the mattress. Enough to make people think a cigarette accidentally gets ignited when it falls into a mattress. While the owners of the house managed to escape, and I don't know where now. As for the death from the fire, the autopsy can explain otherwise. If the body does not blister, it means that it died before being burned. After all, Aqilla said all died from gunfire. There will be a number of bullets found in their bodies, enough to be evidence of murder. By burning it, entangling him with more articles, trying to eliminate evidence. Yeah, even though they're doing it right now” explains Jerome at length.

“And according to the information I got from my informant, it seems like the followers of the Gunadhya Clan did not know that traitor” Jerome failed when he realized Aqilla was glaring at him.

For me and Aqilla his name is too nothing to call, “Have acted wickedly. He claimed that their leader and his four right hands were taking Aqilla abroad. She said their leader's miss was intending to go to school in Switzerland, or I don't know. Anyway, on the European mainland. So no one suspected the disappearance of the five of them including Aqilla. That's why the criminals can argue, that Aqilla's house burned to the ground because there are no inhabitants, it's their story again abroad. Nothing suspicious from their story” explained Jerome at length .

“What about the person who drove Seva?? Both of them will know the incident that night” my question suddenly remembered two men who had intercepted him in front of the gate of the house to give up Seva.

Inspector John clenched his hands in annoyance, “Both are also missing. Actually both are just chefs employed by my brother-in-law in his second home; his house is Seva. It just so happens that one of the two heard the evil plan of the traitor somewhere. So the two decide to take Seva away before becoming victims of the abomination. The criminals may have eliminated both so that no one can reveal the events of that night”

Damn, I think I've had enough of hearing in detail about their crimes, but there are still a lot of sickening things that still go into my ears. It seems that the criminals are not equipped with conscience during their lives. A real villain…
