It is not easy to think clearly when the mood is chaotic like a tangled thread. Sometimes a person is not even able to control themselves properly. This is what happened to Aby. Lying if the quarrel with Dew this morning is not the reason behind the mess of all business today. He's really frustrated.
Aby leaned back on the chair. His eyes closed for a moment to let go of fatigue. While thinking about whether his actions these past few days were wrong or right.
"Hey! Even fall!" The clap that landed on Aby's shoulder resuscitated. His pair of eyes opened again, the first thing that came into his view was a company's latest product brochure with a pregnant woman with an enlarged belly, which God had just put on the table.
"Next week the launch of its products. Mr. Desta is satisfied with the results of our teamwork, especially you."
"Help ...." There was no exaggerated expression from Aby hearing the praise from the company's top leadership.
When the gods left, wishful thinking drifted far away. Aby glanced back at the picture on the brochure. It would be very funny to see Dew with an enlarged stomach someday. There will be exciting days waiting for the birth of the baby. However, it seems that Aby has to bury deep in her desire. For no apparent reason, Dew rejects Aby's desire to have children in the near future.
"Every married person wants to have children, right? But why is Dew the opposite?"
Aby was silent in a floating mind. Only one person could answer all the questions that filled his mind now.
"Mrs ...."
And sure enough, this afternoon after work hours, Aby went to the house of the in-laws. His arrival was greeted by Mama Rima with a big smile.
"Aby?" The woman bows her head out in search of her daughter, but there is no visible Dew there. "You alone? Where is the dump?"
Aby commented a thin smile. "Grow in the house, Mah. I just got back from work straight here."
A questionable gaze directed Mama Rima to the daughter-in-law. Aby doesn't usually come alone without Dew. Is something going on?
"Then go in first. We'll talk inside." He allowed the ghost to sit on the sofa in the family room. "So, Mama make some tea first, yeah."
Aby replied with a smile and a nod. Until a few minutes passed, Mama Rima returned from the kitchen with a tray containing a cup of tea and also some snacks.
"Diminum, Son Aby," said Mama Rima kindly, then dropped her body on a single chair.
"Thank you, Mah."
"Yes, Mah. I'll say Dew, later" replied Aby. "Ec ... Mah, actually I came here to ask you something."
Instantly the friendly smile that adorned the face of the in-laws dimmed. Especially after realizing the look of Aby's face that looked serious. Now he believes that something is going on with his son and daughter-in-law.
"What do you want to ask, By?"
Aby was silent for a while with her eyes fixed on the floor. Like choosing the right word so that the in-laws do not misunderstand the question he will give.
"It's actually something rather personal. About Dew."
The frown on Mama Rima's forehead deepened. If it's a personal thing, why don't he talk to his wife?
"What happened to Dew?"
"I'm sorry if I had to ask something like this to Mama. I'm not good, either, Mah."
Mama Rima nodded in understanding. For him Aby and Dewun are his children, no longer son-in-law.
"You two have a problem?"
Aby nodded.
"I feel like Dew is keeping something from me. Every time I talk about having a child, she's scared."
Suddenly the look on Mama Rima's face paled in a matter of seconds. His eyes were also glazed. And of course Aby can quickly read the surprised reaction of the in-laws.
Why does your mother react the same as Dew? What's the same with Dew?
