Chapter 80: Applying for Leniency

This day spent Dew alone in a hotel room until late afternoon. All he did was watch TV or open social media. Waiting for her husband who is visiting the raw material processing factory owned by the company where he works. 

It seems like Aby's been busy all day. Not answering the phone and not reading the message that Dew sent. 

The woman then laid her body on a soft sofa, after eating a lunch dish that had been ordered at the hotel restaurant. Now he's a little sleepy. However, just now his eyes were closed there was the sound of a bell marking the presence of someone out there. 

The corner of the Dew's eye wrinkled as it looked at Reno through the monitor screen, standing right in the doorway. He immediately opened the door in half and left only a gap for his slender body. 

"What's up, brother?" ask Dewun, without letting Reno in. 

The man smiled amiably, standing firmly with his hands clinging to each other behind his back. "Sorry I'm disturbing. You're busy, aren't you?" 

"No. Indeed why?" The dew is still indifferent. 

"If you don't mind, there's something important I want to talk to you about. It's about Mega" he said with the same hospitality. "Under there is a restaurant. Do you have time?" 

Dew speechless. Before leaving earlier, Aby had advised not to go anywhere alone. Surely, Dewun would not dare to come out without her husband. 

"Sorry, Brother. Aby hasn't come home yet. If there is something important to talk about, then Mas Aby has come." 

"But it's your business, Dew." Reno seemed to insist. 

"And what concerns me is my husband's business. Sorry, I'm closed, yeah." 

Without many words, the Dew closed the door, making Reno look at the place where she stood. 

While the Dew rested his body on the sofa. Thinking of the fate of Mega who is now serving a sentence.

Soon he approached Reno and sat down before him. 

"Sorry long wait."

"It's okay, By. Sorry to interrupt your time." 

The two sat for a moment in silence. Aby can guess what made Reno ask to meet. And of course this is all about his sister, Mega, who is now languishing behind bars for a serious crime he committed. 

"No lightening for Mega, By. I know Mega's gone too far. But pity, he was too young to be punished that long." 

Aby breathed a long breath. Correct guess. "Sorry, Ren. But your brother's crime is already very serious. It's about my wife's life. Three times he tried to harm Dew in a cruel way." 

Reno lowered her head in embarrassment. Like losing face in front of Aby to beg for her sister. 

"I know, By. I'm well aware of that. But—" Not yet finished Reno's remark, already cut first by Aby. 

"Here you go, try to go back. If for example Dew tried to harm Mega in the same way, what would you do? You're just gonna forgive me?" 

The question turned back to Reno. He realized it was not that easy to forget the actions of Mega.

"I don't think you'll ever forgive anyone who tries to harm your sister. So did I. What's more my wife's embrace, everything that happens to her is my responsibility." 

Aby glanced at the clockwork direction on her wrist. Time had already pointed to the number seven and Dew was alone in the hotel room.
