"Where's my grandson?"
A pair of old eyes that still exuded an aura of intimidation now obscured every corner of his personal space. Didn't find the nose of one of his grandchildren that he had been waiting for since.
"Still at work, Pa," replied a middle-aged man sitting across. He is Restu Dwi Wiguna, the father of Bagas.
A middle-aged woman who was also with them started to frown.
"Why Pa? I think it's really important until we get together here?" Ask in a curious tone.
Chandra Wiguna, the old man who became Bagas' grandfather looked at his son-in-law in silence. Now his eyes turned to his second son.
"How's the company doing?" Ask in a calm tone and hold hands. He stared at the black coffee in front of him that had not been touched at all.
Restu glanced at the father awkwardly. Several times his lips were slightly wet.
"So far, so good, Pa. Although there are few obstacles, but I believe Bagas can solve the problem well."
Chandra nodded. Then silence shrouded them again, before the old man finally spoke up.
"Next week I want you to prepare for our big family banquet."
Beautiful, the daughter-in-law and Mother of Bagas increasingly wrinkled his forehead. Wonder what she really wanted to do. His lips had been open and closed alternately, itching to ask. But the feeling of being more domineering. Although in fact it has been 31 years to be the daughter-in-law of the Wiguna family, Indah still does not dare to just refute the edict of the in-laws.
"For what, Pa? Tumben, do we usually book a place outside if there's a family meal?" Tanya Restu who represents the curiosity of the wife. As a child he clearly felt a bit of a strangeness that happened to his father.
"Want to introduce your future daughter-in-law" she replied calmly and a slight pull on the tip of her lips.
Different reactions with Restu and Indah who were both surprised by the father's answer.
"Bah!" Restu voiced his protest. "I don't think that matchmaking is happening again in our generation of children. Why don't you compromise with us as Bagas' parents?!"
Beautiful too nodded. This time he did not want to stay silent.
"Papa can't make his own decisions. For now Bagas has a girlfriend, don't have the heart that we have to separate them."
Chandra looked at the child and his daughter-in-law with a sharp look. Both of his hands clenched tightly.
"Since when did I announce that this hereditary matchmaking is gone from our family?!" His throat was stuck with protruding neck veins. "How dare you oppose this match! Don't you remember how you were together until now?!"
Restu and Indah were both silent. Can not deny that the small family they built was also originally the result of matchmaking from each family. It happened because of a ridiculous agreement between their great-grandfathers.
"But we've been introduced since childhood, Pa. We have also prepared ourselves" said Restu who still denied the words of the father. "Same different now. Our three-year-old son no one knows who their soul mate is. So I came to the conclusion that they are free to find a partner without the frills of matchmaking."
"Pa," call Beautiful with a little hesitation. His eyes glanced timidly at the father-in-law. "Can't Bagas choose his own future wife? Or if you really want to be betrothed, just pair it with Stefanny. Stefanny's family is also from the top, we are also familiar."
Chandra nodded firmly. He then sipped the cold coffee quietly. A little dizzy his head from his anger just now exploded all of a sudden.
"I don't accept any objections from you. Moreover, I do not like the woman, not suitable to be the daughter-in-law of the Wiguna family."
The old man smiled wryly, imagined the sweet face of a beautiful woman who was now an adult.
"Tiyas Della Gayatri, she's the granddaughter of one of my best friends. His son is beautiful and he certainly thought he was very good."
***
"Seriously?!"
The crack of the table rang out loud inside the Main Director's den immediately became noisy.
Tiyas glared at his best friend who became a suspect of the commotion. He did not want his subordinates to think that there was a great fight in this room.
"Can't you be ordinary, baby? Lo's men could-can grumble we jerk again," Tiyas grumbled with a sniff of annoyance while throwing paper that he had shaped round and round towards the suspect.
Beby Belvina, the best friend and President Director at TD Entertainment, could only give a small chuckle. His standing position had now started to sit back down.
"Sorry, I'm really shocked" he said with an innocent grin. Seeing Tiyas' water calm down, at least Beby finally breathed a sigh of relief. "Gue thought that matchmaking in this day and age is no longer there, you know your family still adheres to it."
Tiyas shrugged his shoulders in a sign of not knowing. His countenance looked calm, as if this matchmaking was nothing to him.
"Maybe it's because my family is a conglomerate of times yes," he replied with a mischievous smile.
Beby clucked, his eyes rolling lazily.
"Broast lo! Even if that is the fact!" The atmosphere became silent, then suddenly his hand came back to the table. "But aren't you ready for marriage?"
The eldest son Adhitama was upset at the friend. Not knowing anymore how to warn Beby not to overdo every thing that makes him surprised.
"Yes, man!" The answer was with a slow shout, as if wanting to protest but finally resigned. "But how else, my age is quite old in a family that has made an arranged marriage. Even my mom is married at 21."
Beby fell silent with his rounded eyeballs. His gaze seemed to disbelieve what Tiyas was listening to. Unknowingly both of his hands were raised to clap.
"Crazy! Mami you are mentally strong!"
"Not mentally strong, but forced!" refute Tiyas with his cynical smile. He then presented his long hair that was slightly tangled. "I will not know papi to the Wiguna family anyway!"
"Why?!" Asked Beby who had been shuffling want to hit the table again. Unfortunately, Tiyas moves faster to shake his best friend's hand.
It was not without reason that Tiyas did this. He just does not want a wedding that should be held with luxury and witnessed by many people, one day will be destroyed by himself.
Rumors about how many mistresses a Bagas certainly has become an open secret among the company officials. Also how the haughtiness of the daughters-in-law in the family made Tiyas unwillingly tread with great caution.
There does not want any thorns in the harmonious family. Don't want anyone to feel most powerful. Tiyas had never liked modeling such a person, tacky.
If not for the tradition that has been hereditary and also strengthened by the request of a Chandra Wiguna, maybe Tiyas had gone abroad to escape from a family full of problems.
"Let's go. I want to see how their families react if they know that the future wife of the heir to the textile industry is only an honorary teacher at a private school in Jakarta."
