Battle War; Magic, Sword and Dragon
Enemy Attacks

Riku and others (+ Lunaris) went to the airship port which is north of the capital. The distance of the port can be said to be quite far, so they were forced to rent a public train to make it faster.

As witches of course if they wanted they could run to the harbor, but that would only invite trouble. Magicians and ordinary people had extremely far-reaching physical differences, what would happen if a witch hit an ordinary person?

To avoid such a thing, the rules of every witch must move normally, except for emergencies.

An hour later, the group arrived at one of the docks. A medium-sized airship (about 30 meters) which is quite luxurious awaits them.

That airship is what they're going to use. At the same time, it is also a gathering place.

As team leader, Helen meets with Sebas to inform him that they have additions. The mission was actually for five people, so the addition of Lunaris didn't matter at all.

In addition to Riku and Sebas, there were 15 crew members operating the airship. It might look less, but that number is enough for a medium-sized airship capable of accommodating 50 people.

"You will all live in a room close to the young master Adam. To guard, I will provide a special communication tool so that you can immediately act if something happens. Although I hope we don't have to use it."

Sebas explained while giving three communication magic tools.

After that, they were taken to their rooms on the way. The airships they use are airships specifically rented to important people, so it is not strange that every room is not inferior to luxury hotels.

Each room has special security that makes it impossible to enter without a suitable key. Rooms are also fitted with a protective case that is automatically activated if one is forced to open.

In other words, Helen's team didn't actually have to do much as long as Adam was in his room.

"Me and Milia will be one room. Guy's with Riku, but how could Miss Lararis allow it."

"I'm glad you're understanding."

"No. It's not a problem."

Without thinking long, anyone can see the Lunaris that is always attached to Riku. Given their relationship, both may be willing to separate.

"I, fuck you. When people sleep by themselves, you're... God fucking. The world is unfair.."

Guy cried blood filled with envy. No one cares about him.

"Although this seems an easy mission, we can't ignore our main mission as bodyguards. We'll take turns doing surveillance. Does anyone mind?"

"No problem."

They then split their turn with the lottery. The first was Helen and Lunaris.

Pairing up with Lunaris somehow made Helen feel awkward. He felt that Lunaris did not seem to be very happy with him.

As they finished dividing the task, the airship took off towards the town of Panese.

---__

-6 hours passed quickly since the airship left the imperial capital. The airship was traveling at normal speed, but since there were no plans to stop, it was traveling faster than a regular airship.

The sun began to set in the west turning the blue sky into pitch-black. There are only stars and moonlight that accompany the journey.

During these 6 hours the journey is so smooth without any significant problems.

"Miss Lunaris, it's dinner time."

Helen called Lunaris who was on the deck of the ship enjoying the sunset view. At that moment Helen seemed to see an angel who was so beautiful that he was fascinated.

"That's it..."

Dinner time is also time to take turns keeping watch.

But somehow Lunaris refused to move from her place.

"Miss Lunaris, is there a problem?"

"No. There's no problem. If anything, it's just a personal matter."

There was nothing Helen could do like that.

"Then I have dinner. Please follow soon. I'm sure Riku is waiting for you."

Helen turned around and went in for dinner.

"Wait!!"

Helen stopped and turned her head back towards Lunaris who was looking at her with intimidation.

Helen felt like she was going to experience this sooner or later, but not this soon.

"Is there a problem?"

"I just wanted to ask you a few things about Riku."

Helen was not surprised.

"When it comes to Riku, I just think of him as a friend. So you don't have to be afraid I'll take it from Miss Lunaris. Besides, I can see that Riku doesn't see any other woman besides you."

Better to explain everything than to cause misunderstandings.

"I know you're not interested in Riku at all, however I can see that you already like other people. Riku's charm won't affect you."

"Hm?"

Why is it that Helen has been rejected when she has not tried?

"When it comes to relationships, I'm more worried about your other friend. He has no one he loves yet. Sooner or later he will fall for Riku. Oh my, this is a problem."

Lunaris made a helpless expression and said that it would really happen. This confused Helen.

"Forgot that, you said you thought of Riku as a friend, but to me the relationship between you guys is nothing more than acquaintance, so can you keep your distance from Riku."

"!? i?!What max!!"

Helen's angry. The friendship between him and Riku was still the size of corn, but that did not mean it was a fake relationship. Lunaris has absolutely no right to keep her away with Riku even though she is her fiance.

"No special intent. Like I said, if you're just Riku's friend, you better get away from him."

"I think you've gone too far. As her fiance, you should have supported Riku having many friends. Why are you kicking us out?"

"I just need me. He doesn't need anyone else. I'm the only one who loves him. I will be a friend, a lover, a partner until the end. Others will only make him suffer."

"You're crazy!!"

He had always thought that Lunaris was an honorable and authoritative figure. Lunaris was the figure he had always wanted.

But seeing it like this disposes of all those thoughts. Lunaris better be called crazy because of her obsession with Riku.

Helen understands why Riku can't escape from Lunaris. He's too horrible.

"Yes I'm crazy. You can say I'm a crazy person when it comes to Riku. So I warn you, for your own good, that it is best to take it from Riku as soon as possible. I don't want anyone to get hurt anyway."

"Are you threatening me?!"

Lunaris smiled a little.

"I was just warning. I may be against you having a relationship with Riku, but I wish we could be good friends. That's why I'm giving advice that no one is in danger. You can't predict what's going on in the future, can you?"

"I don't want to be friends with you!!"

After saying that, Helen turned around and left for dinner. He did not look back at all. Currently the figure of Lunaris was the figure he hated the most.

Meanwhile, Lunaris who saw Helen's behavior just smiled as small as enjoying it.

"Why are my good intentions being ignored?"

To others it might be what he said was nothing more than threats and provocation, but Lunaris was right to give a suggestion from the bottom of his heart.

Riku doesn't have any friends, but that doesn't mean he needs friends.

"I just need me. No one else is needed."

What he said was nothing more than an obsession and love. He had even considered himself crazy for being like that.

But it doesn't matter. For Riku's sake, going crazy was just a cheap price to stop a tragedy that might repeat itself.

By the time that happens, maybe Riku will really be completely damaged.

"Blessings and curses. If all that disappeared from Riku, maybe we'd be happy."

Although it could not be realized, but there is no harm in hoping. Although it would be a waste.

--

Dinner time along with the clock change of supervision. This time it was Riku and Milia's turn.

Of course Guy protested 'why am I alone?' with an annoyed face, but like before, no one cared.

Almost 4 hours passed since the surveillance began, Riku and Milia had barely had any conversation. Milia was indeed quiet, so Riku had a hard time starting the conversation. After all the relationship with Milia is still unclear, so starting a conversation is not a good idea according to Riku.

"I'll go around. Is it okay to keep it alone?"

Milia just nodded small.

Riku left from the front door of Adam's room. He headed towards the inside of the ship to check things out once again.

Examination of the ship has actually been done repeatedly, but there is no harm in guarding.

(It's an easy mission, but the client this time is really weird. No, I think they're hiding something from us)

At dinner last night, Riku only saw Sebas eating alone without the company of others. Neither Adam's personal Maid nor Adam's own were at all visible.

It's more accurate that since they boarded the ship, they haven't even seen Adam yet. Ana sometimes shows up while taking food and taking care of little things for Adam.

At first glance there is nothing suspicious, but is it normal for small children who have high curiosity to just stay in the room?

If Adam was the quiet type of kid like Milia, maybe it could have been, but he didn't find that trait in Adam when he met yesterday.

(I hope only my feelings are too anxious)

Sighing, Riku entered the ship storage warehouse. Riku and the others did not bring any goods, so none of their belongings were there. There were some suitcases that likely belonged to Adam, but there were still many empty places. With such a situation, it is not strange if there is only a little lighting.

Turning on the lights, the room immediately became bright. Riku occasionally looked at the various corners. It was then that he found some sort of line drawn on the floor with some kind of red ink.

Riku approaching. He lowered his head to check in more detail and used his thumb to check what the liquid was.

At first glance it looks like blood, but it's not.

"This is the Ambrois ink commonly used to create instant magic formations."

Or rather an ink commonly used in a magic tool.

An instant magic tool is a disposable magic tool that is usually easily found in magic tool stores. Most of them are magic tools to protect themselves, but that is not the only use.

The problem is, the magic formation drawn is not an ordinary magic formation. It was a teleportation magic formation. And of the remaining levels of magic energy, the magic tool had not been used for long.

"Oh my goodness..."

Riku realized they were in trouble. Big problem.

Riku then used telepathy with Lunaris to convey what he had just found.

He could have used a means of communication to let Helen and the others know, but there was no guarantee that communication was not intercepted.

The only secure communication today is telepathy connected to Lunaris. The bond between the two is so strong and special that makes them able to know each other's existence even though they are far apart. The telepathy between the two is not unusual.

[Can I get rid of it?]

Riku sighed deeply. What if it had to do with killing Lunaris' enemy so eagerly?

[We'll see the situation first]

[Bitch!!]

Communications interrupted. Riku wanted to get together to tell her what he found and plan the action they took.

But he had not yet set foot, a loud explosion could be heard from the outside. Simultaneously, the airship swayed violently.

[Riku, you're really quick to find the enemy. We have an unexpected guest.]

[...]

Riku immediately wanted to argue that they were not the enemy that Riku meant, but hearing Lunaris's happy tone, he did not say.

But this makes the situation even more unclear. If there is an enemy outside, it means that they are currently dealing with two enemy parties.

Looking at the time and situation, it was predictable that the enemy outside was a diversion.

(In other words there is an enemy moving by taking advantage of this situation.)

Riku didn't panic. He then went to Sebas's room.

"Is there a suspicious situation at the moment?"

Riku asked after meeting with Sebas. Just like Riku, Sebas did not panic.

"There's nothing strange except the monsters attacking the airship at the moment."

From the window they could see flying monsters attacking with bursts of fire. There are only a few monsters that can do that.

At first glance they look like dragons, but they are not. A fake dragon known as a wyven.

"Can you overcome this monster? Even though the dragon was fake, it was still that the wyvern was a monster equivalent to an S rank mage."

"It doesn't matter at all." Riku answered confidently.

Wyvern himself was not a powerful monster for him or for Lunaris. Although it was a bit heavy for Helen and the others, arguably the situation was still in control.

The problem is the number of wyverns is quite a lot, which is 3. Then since they could fly, there was a limit to the attacks they could make.

The airship itself has a fairly strong protector and also has several weapons to defend itself.

"What matters today is the salvation of Mr. Adam. Is she okay?"

"Monster attacks are nothing new to the Azure family. Right now Ana is being together with the young master. You don't have to worry, she's not a maid."

"I knew. But just to be sure, may I see the state of the young master directly."

"That's not necessary. I can vouch for it. I'm a master anyway."

"Is that? If it is like that, it doesn't matter. It's just that I'm a little worried considering there's a mouse hiding. I hope I don't scare young master Adam."

"..."

"I'll excuse you then."

Riku then went to gather with Helen and the others.

(I hope he understands what I want to say.)

Although in Riku's heart there is no need to feel anxious, but there is no harm in reminding.

He then arrived at the ship deck. In addition to Lunaris and the others, there were several ship crews who took out their arm to attack the wyvern.

For Contractor-type magicians like Milia and the others did not take out their magic form because it was completely useless in the current situation. The only one who prepared was Helen with an arm in the form of an ancient long barrel firearm.

"Why haven't we flown away from this place yet?"

The situation is actually not so surprising, but why choose to survive rather than run away?

"When the wyvern attacked, the captain wanted to leave this place as soon as possible, but that's when the engine broke down."

One of the crew members answered.

"Can we fix it?"

"could. The damage is not too heavy. I think two hours could be done. But because of the damage we can't fly fast. And the biggest problem was that the energy drained for the shield became greater than usual."

"Hm...."

This entire incident made Riku's suspicions come true.

He then glanced towards Lunaris who seemed to be waiting for an order from him.

The current Lunaris was like a little puppy impatiently playing with his master.

"Lunaris, do as you please."

Lunaris smiled wide full of pleasure. The magic pressure increased rapidly to make the person who felt it become cold.

Lunaris was known as an SS-ranked mage, but she very rarely showed her strength in public. In the Flame Academy itself, Lunaris was an absolute figure, no one had ever seen her fight seriously.

"Use this. Today we're going to eat barbeque wyvern."

Riku gave him his sword.

Receiving Riku's sword, Lunaris disappeared. When he saw his figure, he was already in the air with fire wings flying towards the wyvern.

The flying speed of Lunaris was so fast and sharp. Wyvern was completely unable to follow and was even surprised that the figure of Lunaris arrived near them.

Without hesitation Lunaris pulled the sword from the scabbard and slashed the wryven's neck until it broke. That he did to the other two wryverns and eventually they all fell to their deaths.

But only one wyven did not fall because Lunaris casually took him to the airship.

"Say I'm dreaming."

Gon made an expression as if looking at a monster. Of course, no one would believe it if they saw a beautiful girl slashing a wyven like a tofu and lifting their body like a cotton swab.

"He does indeed deserve to be ranked 1st in the Flame Academy."

Meanwhile Helen realized that Lunaris was a figure that she should not make enemies no matter what. He even began to listen to Lunaris' warning about spying on Riku.

Their world is too different.

In addition to Helen, the airship crew was also surprised, but quickly they cheered happily because the airship was safe. Now they just focus on fixing the engine and immediately continue on the way.

Lunaris cut off some of the meat she chose in a certain section about the size of a steak. And after that he burned it with fire magic.

The crew seemed to know that they were going to party, quickly preparing barbeque equipment.

That night the airship they boarded did a party.

After the engine was repaired, the airship continued its journey.

The next day, the journey continued without any significant problems, but the airship flew higher than usual.

This was not because the captain of the ship wanted to fly that high, but because a sword was now on his neck.

"Good.it's not hard, is it?"

Riku smiled in satisfaction after the captain obeyed his orders.

"Why are you doing this? Tell me what's your purpose?"

"I just want to avoid trouble. You must have been on this path a lot, so you must have known very well that the attack last night was impossible."

Riku slowly pushed the sword away from the captain's neck.

Normally someone after being threatened like that would immediately counter attack when there was a chance, but the captain knew that Riku was not wrong.

It's just that the captain felt a little strange because Riku shouldn't have bothered to threaten him.

"...So do you want to say that there's an enemy waiting for us?"

"Can be. I just wish I hadn't met them. In addition, the path to the city of Panese was strategic enough to carry out an ambush."

Panese city was built in a green mountainous area and is still so beautiful. Not only become a beautiful natural tourist spot, but also become a plantation place.

The area around the city of Panese is often foggy, so there are many things that are hidden from the naked eye.

But even though Panese was a tourist town outside, Riku knew that a secret imperial facility was built there.

From the very beginning of receiving the mission, he felt that this was no ordinary escort. The enemy that attacked proved that.

"Why are we flying so high?"

While pensive, Sebas came in a panic and was angry.

His eyes were fixed on the captain, but when he saw Riku's figure, Sebas directly directed magic pressure at him.

Normally, the magician pressure of a Master would be so strong and capable of making a B rank magician kneel, but Riku stood casually as if receiving nothing.

"You-you..."

Sebas surprised. A few days ago he knew that Riku could withstand the pressure, but he felt that it was normal to think that Riku was just a little special. But this moment proves him wrong.

"Calm down, Mr. Sebas. I have absolutely no bad intentions."

"Then why are you doing all this?"

"Hm? You'll get the answers you want soon."

Just as Riku finished speaking, the captain received a radar signature. It was a sign of a figure heading to their place at high speed.

"Enemy attack!!"

The ship's magic protector was activated and the captain immediately informed them that they were in an emergency.

"How did you know?"

Sebas asked in shock. He did not even have time to realize the position of the enemy before approaching.

"I wanted to avoid meeting one of them, but it seems that it's impossible now."

In front of the airship, a figure flew with dignity that became the symbol of the strongest being.

Rooaabarrrr!!! A loud roar seemed to show who the ruler in the sky was.

"Yesterday wyvern and now the wind dragon. Mr. Sebas, I'm sure you have a reasonable explanation for this."

"..."

Sebas did not answer.
