CHAPTER 12 - Cold Christmas Eve
On the way back to the castle they saw Hagrid coming back in tears to her cottage
"Why Hagrid?", asked Hermione
"Come on" replied Ron
"I wanted to see Hagrid, she knew about Sirius Black and my parents" Harry said
The four of them walked down the hill towards the snow-covered Hagrid Hut
Tok.dok...
Harry knocked on the door and then the door opened, Hagrid came out crying and hugged Harry
"Have you heard it?", Hagrid said, making Aurora and Hermione look up
"What is Hagrid?", asked Aurora
Hagrid entered Aurora, Harry, Hermione and Ron and sat in a chair
"What letter is this?", asked Harry, and Hagrid wept even harder
Harry opened the letter which looked quite formal then read it

Dear Mr Hagrid,
After further investigating the events of the Hippogriff attack on a child
in your class, we received Professor Dumbledore's assurance that you were innocent
in this regrettable event.
However, we also received a letter of complaint from Mr. Lucius Malfoy, whose case will proceed to the Committee on the elimination of dangerous animals.
"Oh no" said Ron
"But you said buckbeak was a good creature right, surely you can win the Hagrid case" Ron continued
"You have to gather evidence that's a lot of hagrid" Hermione said
"We are ready to be your witness" Harry said
"The members of the Committee were all subject to the admission of Lucius Malfoy who had great influence in the ministry and they could submit to him only with a gold stitch" Hagrid replied
"I'm sure I've read about the Hippogriff attack... The hippogriff was successfully saved and free of punishment - I'll find out more deeply for it" Aurora said making Hagrid smile
"What about Dumbledore?" asked Harry
"No, he's been helping too much, let alone the dementors and the escaped prisoner Sirius Black" Hagrid replied, making the four of them look at each other
"Eh---what if I make tea?", said Ron got a look of wonder from his three friends
"Mom always makes tea when someone is sad" Ron continued
"Today I've been so fucked up, anxious to think of buckbeak and my lessons not being liked" Hagrid said listlessly
"We like it" said Hermione lying
"Yes, your lesson was great" Aurora said
"What about the Flobber Worm?", asked Ron
"Stay overweight, because of eating too much lettuce" Hagrid replied
"Pity me" replied Ron
After a visit to Hagrid's cottage, Harry prefers to divert his original destination to know about Sirius black, now changed his plans to help Hagrid in his case
"It's a history book of magic, here I've read some cases of magical beast attacks. I'm sorry I couldn't stay at this Christmas school" Aurora said, giving Hermione a bag full of books
"Thanks Aurora, this has even been very helpful. Give my regards to Mr and Mrs Rotsfield" said Harry
"Well, I'll go pack my things, Merry Christmas" Aurora said
"Merry Christmas Aurora" the three of them answered simultaneously
While the Christmas holidays are coming, Aurora and the other hogwarts students are now returning to their respective homes, the train arrives at Platform 9¾, Aurora circulates her gaze and sees Tom who is waiting in the Chair alone
"Only are you?, where is Estela?", Aurora quipped with a grin
"Be quiet, little sister doesn't know herself" Tom replied with his brother's hug making Aurora chuckle at him
They exited the 9¾ platform at Kings Cross then exited the station and continued their journey back to Buckinghamshire
"Mom!!, Dad!!", cried Aurora entering her Manor and ran towards Laurena and Alex who were preoccupied not decorating the Christmas tree in the family room
"Ohhh, daughter dad has come home!", said Alex by hugging Aurora tightly and then taking her off
"Mom!", said Aurora and hugged her mother
"How was your trip?", asked Laurena by rubbing Aurora's hair
"Fun-where is Estela?", asked Aurora
"She was with Louis to fit her wedding dress" Laurena replied
"Mom and Dad will be lonely because soon Estela is not home and I am still at school" Aurora said
"The house won't be deserted while I'm still here" Tom said
"Marry there!", said Aurora
"Marry you?---Aurora my dear sister wants to marry me hmm?" said Tom on his knees in front of Aurora
"Eww, no-it's ludicrous tom" said Aurora laughing loosely followed by the laughter of Alex and Laurena
"Your uncle and Ethan are moving to Corsley House in Wiltshire, they're coming for Christmas" Alex said
"Dad persuaded him to agree to Estela's relationship with Louis..." Alex stopped and looked at his wife
"Then?", asked Aurora curiously
The atmosphere was silent for a moment until Laurena opened her voice
"Your uncle gave one condition-after marriage, Estela's name must be removed from the family tree". Laurena replied then sobbed
"Hey, it's dear" said Alex to calm Laurena and lead her to her room
Aurora looked at her parents and then looked at tom who was sitting quietly on the sofa
"That's very unfair" Aurora said and sat on the sofa with Tom
"Life is never fair Aurora dear" Tom said
"But. Removing the name from the family---tree" Aurora said stalled
"You know what you should do Aurora?" said Tom casually
"Among the three of us, you're Uncle Hector's favorite nephew" Tom continued
"I'll try to talk to him later" Aurora replied by leaning her head against tom's chest, Tom rubbed Aurora's hair and kissed her sister's head while staring at the Christmas tree beside the fireplace
The Aurora POV
A few days later Christmas came and now I'm in the living room with Mom, Dad, Estela, Louis and Tom,
Louis showed us a picture of his family album.
Moments later, Uncle Hector arrives with Ethan
"Ethan!!", I ran and jumped in my arms to hug Ethan, my cousin's brother
"How are you?", asked Ethan
"Very well---and you ? Oh my God, why is your hair so short?", I said
"I moved from Ilvermony to Durmstrang last year" Ethan replied
"Owh, it's worth it" I said with a laugh
"Happy Christmas Aurora" said Hector's uncle, giving him Christmas presents
"Good Christmas uncle" I said, hugging Uncle Hector
Afterwards we were in the Dining Room to start dinner, I sat next to Estela next to her future husband, Louis
Uncle hector did not say a word, when Louis greeted him also uncle hector just ignored the greeting louis
"This food is so delicious, is it made using magic as well?" Louis said
"No, it was Mom who cooked it" Estela replied
"Oh, blessed are your hands mom, this food is so good" Louis said with a warm smile
"Eating a lot tomorrow is a big day for both of you" Mom said
"You know, I was thinking of giving your wedding gift a magic cup that can bite your nose" I said with a laugh
"Interesting, what is it like?", Louis asked with a chuckle
"Aurora!", said Estela staring intently at me
"That's Aurora's good idea", Tom said
"Oh you two are really" said Estela followed by the laughter of Aurora and Tom
"You smell something dear Aurora" said the Uncle to me
"Umm?, sorry uncle, what smell?", I asked
"Rubber smell", replied Uncle Hector coldly then the atmosphere became silent instantly
"Ehem...Ok, it seems like it is time to open your presents to the children!!" Dad said
"Louis, Estela come along, Mom wants to give you something" Mom said, then they headed to another room
Me, Tom, Ethan and Uncle Hector were sitting in the living room, I counted the Christmas presents piled up in front of me, while Uncle Hector was reading the newspaper, while Ethan and Tom were chatting alone
I opened my Christmas gift, uncle hector gave me an old book
"Take care of the book" said Uncle Hector looking at me
"Thank you uncle" I replied
Then I opened the book, I saw the pure blood witch family tree in the book, and I remembered about Estela being removed from the family tree
"Uncle--" I said cut off
"I know what you're going to talk about Aurora. Uncle will not withdraw the uncle's words, he betrayed the blood of Rotsfield who has been 10 centuries in the care of purity", replied Uncle Hector coldly
"But removing the name from the family tree is like breaking the knot with uncle" I said
"That's been the consequence of Lara" said Uncle Hector he called me Lara
"But Louis is no ordinary muggle, he's a nobleman, isn't that very useful and profitable for our Uncle's family" I said
"The life of the Rotsfield family is not just for the sake of Aurora's sheer profit and majesty, let alone relying on that Si-muggle sitting in the House of Lords seat!" said uncle Hector raising his voice
"Your father chose to join the Muggles for profit to depend on their people" booed Uncle Hector
I fell silent listening to Uncle Hector's scorn and looked at Tom and Ethan who were just as silent,
"I'm sorry", I said then walked away from my uncle and my two brothers there who had just been listening to our conversation.
