Side Story 16 (Helena and Jiao's Weekend)

"Jiao jiao, it's your birthday soon, isn't it?"

"My birthday?"

"Right, what kind of party do you want?

Mo An An asked enthusiastically. Li Jiao was speechless, she had never celebrated a birthday before even if her mother had not told her.

" I don't know, I've never celebrated a birthday before "

Mo An An felt guilty towards his daughter.

"We're gonna have the most memorable birthday for you, just tell me what party you want. You can invite your friends too"

Li Jiao walked into the classroom, she frowned when she saw the students crowding Helena.  There was a tension between Helena and the girls in her class but why all of a sudden all of them were swarming over Helena.

Li Jiao walked up to his stool and ignored the crowd. As he walked Li Huan Rui also stood up and they faced each other. Li Huan Rui passed through it just like that. Li Huan Rui's attitude had indeed been getting colder to him since the last time Li Huan Rui spoke to him when he finished fighting with Wang Yufeng.

"Jiao jiao"

Helena who saw Jiao standing near her stool, she immediately greeted him. Helena gave me a small card.

"Jiao, this is an invitation to my birthday party. I was hoping you'd come to my birthday party"

Li Jiao accepted it, the invitation looked elegant and luxurious.

"I can't wait to come to Helena's party. Helena's party has always been luxurious and there will definitely be cool idols "

The girls were excited to talk about Helena's party. Jiao opened the invitation that Helena gave her carefully.

Li Jiao was shocked when she saw that the date listed was the same date as her birthday. Li Jiao sighed, why must it be a coincidence like this. Maybe he won't celebrate his birthday.

Helena took her. Jiao tried to take it. But Helena insisted on taking it.

Helena straightened her body and asked Jiao worriedly. Jiao stood up and snatched the piece of paper from Helena's hand violently then she left.

Jiao stopped her footsteps hearing Li Huan Rui's voice calling out to her.

"Don't you have to apologize to Helena for making her almost fall"

"Already, Henry. It's not entirely Jiao's fault and we both fell for the fight. Jiao I'm sorry, I didn't mean to take yours and get you hurt"

Li Jiao turned around.

"I'm sorry, too, Helena"

Jiao just said that and then walked away from the canteen.

   Jiao was in the library, she liked the calm atmosphere. Li Jiao looked at the invitation that her mother gave her, her mother prepared this invitation specially given to Li Huan Rui, there was even the name Li Huan Rui written on the front. Jiao knew that Li Huan Rui would not accept her invitation. Especially her birthday party on the same day as Helena. After all for Li Huan Rui, Helena was all that mattered to him.

"My Princess, what is it that's upsetting you?"

Li Jiao ignored Wang Yufeng.  The man took the small paper in Jiao's hand and looked at her quickly before Jiao took it back.

"Is that your birthday invitation for Li Huan Rui? But why was the invitation broken"

"Something happened that broke him"

"so. Looks like you really shouldn't have invited Li Huan Rui who won't come"

"Your birthday is on the same day as that girl, right? She'd probably prefer to attend Helena's girl's party"

   Li Huan Rui was already dressed neatly with a shirt stellan that matched his tuxedo. As he was descending, Li Huan Rui saw his mother who was wearing a dresa and his papa who was well dressed.

"Mama, papa where are you going?"

"We're going to Jiao's birthday party. Ah, you're also well dressed, are you also going to Jiao's party"

Shen Fengyin showed excitement for thinking Li Huan Rui and Jiao's relationship was already better.

"No, I'm going to Helena's birthday party"

   Li Jiao wore a pink dress that made her look cute and feminine. Li Jiao welcomed her friends who came especially from karate training members because she had not invited anyone in her class even though she hoped that Li Huan Rui would come to her birthday party but that was it only hope.  Jiao tried to swallow her disappointment while welcoming Shen Fengyin and Li YongSheng who had come without Li Huan Rui.

"Xiao jiao, happy birthday"

"Thank you, uncle Sheng and aunt Yin"

"Yinyin, where's Rui? Didn't she come with you"

Shen Fengyin hesitated to give an answer to Mo An An's question.

"Li Huanrui.he..had an appointment to someone else so she couldn't come, but Rui asked me to convey her apology for not being able to come and her gift"

Shen Fengyin gave two gift boxes. He told that one of them was from Rui. Jiao was happy but Jiao realized that it was impossible for Li Huan Rui to give her any favors let alone that the man hated her. However Jiao tried to cover up her disappointment and thanked him.

  Wang Yufeng came closer to Jiao and knelt down. He grabbed Jiao's hand.

"My princess, you look so beautiful. Happy birthday, my princess"

Wang Yufeng was about to kiss the butt of Jiao's hand but Jiao's hand was pulled by Li Yongfan and made Wang Yufeng kiss the back of Li Yongfan's hand.

"You're not allowed to seduce my daughter"

Li Yongfan looked at Wang Yufeng sharply. Li Jiao tried to calm her papa down so as not to get angry.

"My princess, you protect me and defend me, thank you"

Li Yongfan's face became increasingly dark. Li Jiao stared intently at Wang Yufeng as it made the atmosphere worse. Li Jiao tried to comfort her papa.

Li YongSheng chuckled at the overprotective attitude his older brother had towards his daughter.

During the cake cutting event, Li Jiao was asked to make a request. Li Jiao closed her eyes and mentioned her request inwardly. Then he blew out the candles, all the guests applauded. Jiao then cut her birthday cake and the first piece was given to her mother. Mo An An smiled happily and gave a hug to his little daughter.

"Thank you dear"

Li Jiao then cut the cake again and gave it to her papa. Li Yongfan smiled.

"Thank you, Jiao jiao"

Mo An An asked the guests to enjoy the dishes. Wang Yufeng came and extended a drink to Li Jiao.

"Li Jiao, you must be thirsty right? Here's a drink"

Wang Yufeng reached out his hand but it was Li Yongfan who took the drink.

"Thank you, second young master you know that I'm thirsty"

Wang Yufeng was surprised.

"Yes, uncle"

Wang Yufeng then asked Jiao to try the snack she was carrying. He reached out to feed Jiao but Li Yongfan lowered his head and ate her. Li Jiao just silently looked at her papa who was acting strangely while Wang Yufeng was holding a vexation in her heart, it didn't seem like it would be easy for her to approach Li Jiao because her future father-in-law was so difficult.

Li YongSheng who had observed his brother's behavior couldn't help but laugh, what a strange sight when he saw his brother blocking the little man who tried to approach the little princess. Shen Fengyin tried to reprimand Li YongSheng into maintaining his attitude. Li YongSheng finally tried to hold back his laughter.
