Chapter 45 (Anger of Li Huan Rui)

  Li YongSheng, Shen Fengyin and Li Huan Rui had dinner together. Li Huan Rui tells Helena's Christmas Eve plans. He also wants his family to be together on Christmas Eve.

"Sorry, Rui. Papa can't celebrate Christmas with you guys"

"What's? Why?"

"Papa has to go on a business trip to Japan"

"Can't you postpone it?"

Shen Fengyin did not want to see her son disappointed.

"I'm sorry. I can't"

Li Huan Rui was annoyed. He finished his meal and went straight to his room.

Li YongSheng hugged his wife's body tightly. The warmth and comfort of hugging his wife and smelling her scent can ease his anxiety.

Li Huan Rui immediately left that store and entered another store that sold bags. Li Huan Rui had no other idea as a gift for his mother. Her mother had many bags but Li Huan Rui hoped her mother would use the bags she bought.

Li Huan Rui was greeted by a servant. The waiter gave a large selection of bags. Li Huan Rui didn't really understand about women's likes.

"Can I show you a limited edition bag?"

Li Huan Rui chose a bag with pastel colors that are suitable to be combined with anything and also a luxurious bag model that is definitely suitable for his mother.

Li Huan Rui handed over the card to buy the bag. Li Huan Rui did not think too much about the price even though he was sure that it would be over thousands of yuan.  This was also a punishment his father had to pay.

On the other hand, Li YongSheng checked the notification from his card. He was surprised when the last notice was how much money was reduced for a bag, but this was the gift his son had chosen. Earlier Shen Fengyin sent her a message that Rui would use her card to buy her a gift. But Li YongSheng did not expect his son to choose an expensive gift but Li YongSheng also did not mind after all his wife had to get the best gift and also all this time he had never bought a Christmas gift or celebrate Christmas with Shen Fengyin.

"Aren't you mad at your dad anymore?"

Li Huan Rui was silent. Thinking something.

"In the past, mama gave papa what gift?"

Shen Fengyin was surprised by her son's question. He had never celebrated Christmas and exchanged gifts with Li YongSheng. In the past as a teenager, Shen Fengyin once made a scarf for Christmas gifts . However Li YongSheng rejected his gift and preferred the gift of Shen FengYue. Ever since then, Shen Fengyin had never given him any more gifts and even the scarf she threw away because she felt annoyed.

Shen Fengyin often saw Li YongSheng changing different watches. Li Huan Rui nodded in agreement with her mother's idea. They went to a watch shop. Seeing the watch made Li Huan Rui suddenly think of the little girl.

Shen Fengyin had previously asked her son's opinion but he had realized instead that his son was daydreaming.

"That's great. Papa would have liked it"

After returning home Shen Fengyin and Li Huan Rui decorated the Christmas tree together. Li Huan Rui usually celebrates Christmas with Papa Fan and his nurse. She loved to celebrate Christmas and decorate the Christmas tree with her mother.

They decorate and chat with each other until they do not realize the sun has sunk. Li YongSheng deliberately finished his work faster and went home early.

Li YongSheng was surprised that his son greeted him.

"Rui, you're not angry anymore with papa?"

"No. After all, papa has played a role in paying for Christmas preparations so Rui is not angry anymore"

Li Huan Rui then returned to the dining room and told her mother. Shen Fengyin and Li Huan Rui chatted with each other to wait for Li YongSheng.

It wasn't long before Li YongSheng came to the dining room. The three of them enjoyed the meal.

Shen Fengyin and Li YongSheng were in their room. Shen Fengyin was currently cleaning her face, occasionally she glanced at Li YongSheng who was reading a book.

"You sure you canceled your business trip?"

"Not canceled but delayed. I'll leave the day after Christmas"

Shen Fengyin nodded in response.

"This is the first time we've celebrated Christmas together"

"Yes"

"Did you prepare a special gift for me?"

"You're not a kid, why should I give you a gift and we're not a teenage couple, are we?"

Li YongSheng was disappointed.

"That's true, but we've never exchanged gifts before and also the only gift I got from you is a scarf"

Li YongSheng headed to his closet and picked up a scarf. Shen Fengyin was shocked when she saw it, as she remembered Li YongSheng did not like her gift and that was why she (she) threw away her gift.

"Yes, at first I refused because I was annoyed, before you gave a gift to my brother but I changed my mind and when I chased after you I saw you throw this gift away so I took it"

Shen Fengyin was silent. He did not know what to comment. Li YongSheng walked over to him.

"Wife, you know. I always expect a Christmas present from you?"

"Is that so? Is it not enough with Shen FengYue's gift? "

"Yes, you know Shen FengYue's gift is expensive but it doesn't mean anything to me. You know my wife, I was stupid back then for being by Shen FengYue's side to cover up my feelings for you"
